When it comes to being waterproof, I was walking in a rocky frigid stream and slipped and fell directly on to my back. The bag was completely underwater for a few seconds and there wasn’t a drop of water inside. Probably not recommended but I was thrilled it held up.
I never knew you could attach the tech pack like that! Thank you! And you’re going to love the Hexad Access! It’s my favorite bag, and I have LOTS of camera bags!
Thank you for sharing your review and how you have used the bag. I have the new edition of the 21L green and the space on this pack is insane. I can bring 2 sets change of clothes in the bag when I use it as a personal item (rolled neatly together jogger, delicates, shirt). I place these in the roll top section in case of emergency. In the main compartment of the clam shell I have room for Sony A6000 with 30mm lens, 16-50mm lens, 2 extra batteries, 2 portable battery packs at 20,000 mA, iPad + apple case, charging cables for all electronic devices, emergency kit, medicine, packable rain jacket, the wandrd rain cover, packable puffer jacket, extra socks and a beanie. It is a bag that can handle a lot of movement. Incredible design and something that can we an everyday carry without question and not just for travel.
For people asking about the 31L. I have the 31l and so far it fits under the seat on a plane no problem! I have had no issues bringing it on as a personal item 🤞🏽
Thanks for the bag review, video was really good: informative, high level details and honest review! And, hey, your beauty? It's like an angel took a break from cloud duty and decided to shine right here, bags included! :P
Great review. Thanks. Would anyone know regardless of volume size ie 21 vs 31, would one pack suit different build / torso sizes, either Male / Female? Example:- one bag goes upto say 5'8" small / medium build - other goes upto 6'2" medium / large build ?? Can't seem to find info in regards. Its a shame Camera bag manufacturers don't take a leaf out of Osprey hiking bags whereby they are offered in different torso sizes etc. Cheers.
I have the duffel bag V1 and love it, for all shorter travels it is with me, for just one night I still love to take the 31L backpack, as well for photoshoots with more equipment. With the sling I went for the 9L as I liked the Laptop Option, but I must admit the 6L would most likely be used more.
What do you think of the new Wandrd Travel backpack on kick starter? I’m a huge Wandrd fan as well and have backed this project on kickstarter. Can’t wait to get it!
New sub for you! #531. So couple things. Yes Wandrd has THE BEST BAGS! Sold my Prvke31 Yuma Tan for the Hexad All Access in blue. HEXAD LINE GOT DISCONTINUED. A “new” line is replacing the Hexad. It was/is perfect for carry-on travel. We cannot sing the praises of Wandrd enough so THANK YOU for the comprehensive review. The sling omg. Have 6L and 9L. It’s that perfect sling for at the seat on the plane and your Hexad/Prvke goes in the overhead bin…or take the sling out on a shooting adventure. Tripod and water bottle both fit in the Roam sling. Just wanted to say thank you for the vlog, keep up the good work and looking forward to more of your content! Cheers!
Nice bag. Im thinking of getting this 21L for my wife even though shes not a photographer. I have the same wandrd sling and I love this company. Btw. What kind of blue fanny pack is attached to your bag? I love how it matches perfectly in color and material. Thanks for the great video.
Great review. I've been on the fence between the 21L and the Lite. I'm 5'4" if I stretch and I've been using the smallest Vanguard VeoGo 42M which fits me perfectly, but the poor thing is just worn out! How tall are you? And does the bag feel too big?
Awesome review..i actually own one, and it show me how to utilize the tech bag now.for the internal pocket that has 2 zipper that mentioned. Actually there is a loop in the center of it, and it could access the pocket by only pulling the loop. I also paired prvke with sling, but I like the PD everyday sling design better
Cool video Rosalyn! I just ordered the 21l with medium tech bag in orange. I have way too many bags but I couldn't resist this one. Im also thinking about the 6l sling. Thank for posting!
Helpful review! I have the sling and looking at the privke. But I didn’t think about the use of the duffel bag. Would you have gotten the Duffel instead of the Privke after using both - if you only could choose one? Thanks
On that zipper to access the top area of the backpack above the camera, you grab the fabric and pull back, both zips should move smoothly at the same time. I hardly ever use it and roll it out of the way.
I am thinking of getting the smaller Wandrd PRVKE, since personal item under the seat here in EU is much smaller than the US. However, they weigh everything here, so I need to consider this vs. a damn Fjaelsraven small school bag. I do not think I can even carry on the 21 liter on some airlines over here. Where you get one item only and it is small and only 10 kg max weight.
I've used the 21l on multiple European Airlines as a personal item and havent encountered issues yet. I just made sure I didnt pack it to the rim so they dont get suspicious at boarding.
Thanks for this weighted and interesting review. It's on my whilst for now. May I ask you what is the type of elastic "cable" that seems to protect you camera not to fall or be stolen...Never have seen this. Thanks for your attention and reply. Best regards Christian
Hi Christian - do you mean the one around my neck? I found one on Etsy that I liked, just search camera neck strap on amazon or etsy! A camera I upgraded to after this video came with one as well. You can also get a hand strap!
@@rozalyngrace Thanks so much for your prompt and precise reply. Ithought it was something clipped to the bag. I'm going to check right away on amazon...and more than probably will go for a PRVKE and the tech pouch..they look great , comfortable but also very efficient in gears protection. take care and thanks again. Thanks for the review! Im wondering if the laptop sleeve can fit a MacBook Pro 16", my decision to get the 21L or 31L depends on that, can you help me on this? Thanks!
I think the 21L would definitely fit it! My mom's 15 inch fits. The main difference I've seen on the 35L is the depth of the backpack, so you'd want that if you like to stand your lenses up or have extra gear.
Great video. What size Prvke backpack is that? 21L or 31L? I to need a backpack that holds camera equipment and personal items. I do not trust the airlines not to lose my gear or essentials.
Me neither. I don't even let them put my camera gear in the overhead containers! (and a flight attendant usually won't either when i tell them what is in the backpack). This is a 21L but if you have more than a camera and 2 lenses and travel with it, I'd go 31L.
With the internal pocket gripe, you can actually just pull the loop up to unzip both zippers at the same time. I'm pretty sure I read that it was designed to use that way for quick access. Ofc, this doesn't negate the pain of zipping them back together which I do find annoying. I wanted to ask tho, can you carry on this backpack with the tripod and bottle attached and also the rolltop filled?
ahhh that makes sense. not my favorite design, but that makes much more sense than unzipping both sides i guess! Yes, you can, though it does start to feel a bit bulky. Basically, that's what i do whenever I fly. I put my water bottle on the side in it's pocket, the tripod strapped under the backpack (like side-to-side, parallel with the ground) and the bag filled with food & jackets and stuff. Alternatively, you could put your tripod in the water pocket, clip you water bottle to the bag with a carabiner, then fill the roll top. Dealers choice!
@@rozalyngrace thanks for the reply! Just realised I wasn't being clear about the carry on question. I meant on the plane haha. Would it be too big? Also what model is your tripod? I'm after a lightweight one to carry around NYC.
@@andyc7777 no worries! I did it the first way and it fit under the seat in front of me but i kinda had to put my feet on it (I'm 5'6 so don't need a ton of leg room). Recently toured the westcoast (The Wild Atlantic Way) by bike. Really terriffic!
Thanks for your review! I've been looking for this backpack for a month, but I wasn't really sure how it would look on my body because most of the reviews are from men and you know... Our bodies are not the same, so it was something that had me doubting lol. But from what I see, it suits you very well, I'm 164cm tall and I weigh 55kg, do you think it will suits me? Just to know how it will look on my body more or less. Of course, I know that the most important thing is the many options it offers for travelers, but I don't want to look like a miniature with a giant backpack! hahaha greetings from Spain and congratulations on your video, keep doing it!
Hi Esther! I'm about 5'6'' and 135lb, and it fits me just fine! I'd certainly say the 21L wouldn't look too large on you. I've noticed a few other creators use it, including Mahna Ghafori (mahna travels) on IG, and she is very small! I agree, it's so annoying that everything is pretty much fitted/designed for men. I've also heard the shimoda one is great for women bc it's very adjustable, if you're looking for that! Lots of words, but hope that helps :)
I've been looking at this bag a lot and really debating between the 21 and the 31. Would you think a 31 may be too much? also, for the water bottle, is this the 'all new' prvke? or the older one? As I have seen on the new one, the zipper wraps around the bottom which gives the pocket more room and can fit larger bottles. Just curious. Cheeers, good review! ✌
I think it depends on what you would use it for! 21L is the perfect size for me, I wouldn't want the 31 L because that would make it pretty heavy with all the gear in it. It fits perfectly under a seat on a plane and I can fit drone/camera/extra lens and a go pro in it with a little careful configuring! As for the water bottle, that might be an update! Basically, this fits my normal 30 oz Hydroflask perfectly, but the 40 oz Hydroflask is more top heavy so it falls out occasionally.
I bought 31, because of my camera, and the lenses I needed, and it was the perfect for travel. It fit all my gears and still had enough room for other things. But I'm thinking about 21 for my small trips around town when I don't need everything. Whatever you choose it is worth it.
@@navahou I ended up settling in the 31, figured after looking at the dimensions it wasn't that much larger and the extra volume for travel is much better to have it. Worst case I don't need it I just keep the rolltop down 😁. Using it now and I'm loving it, great bag for sure!
@@rozalyngrace well I wanted it for light overnight travel, either driving or flying (2-3 days max). I ended up getting the 31, I haven't tried getting it on a plane yet, hopefully it'll as least fit above if not under the seat. I guess I'll find out when I travel next month 😆
