Very true, but also can see Jack’s point. She wants to keep it then fair enough that’s her choice. But then Ricky should also have a say and a choice.
Not really Amy’s fault is it. It’s got nothing to do with Amy. It’s Lily and Ricky jrs fault, they experimented and this is the consequence. Now all they can do is deal with them.

Martin is normally very confrontational in situations like this involving his kids/family but he didn't pipe up when Jack was angry lol. If it was Kush or Max he'd have got agressive with them
Lmao yeah, there's certainly some sort of weird hieracrchy in EE where certain blokes act intimidated by others, whereby normally they'd usually be giving it large. Max and Martin are both examples of this even Mick to an extent, like Max can pretty much bully people like Ian around but he wouldn't try it with Phil. Martin can bully the likes of Kush and Max, but against Mick or Jack he'd be reluctant to get hostile. Mick also had a bit of this against Grant back in 2016.

I found Martin's behavior strange too. At one point it crossed my mind that he'd abused Lily. But surely not! But I am not convinced it's Ricky. Maybe Lily will tell the truth once things start getting heavy with the authorities.

You can’t blame Jack or Stacey. Both make valid points. Imagine if it was your daughter, or your son. You would exactly like they would.
If Lily does decide to go ahead with the pregnancy (I know Lily has said she’s keeping it but there is still time to change her mind) I hope EE includes the physical difficulties of a 12 year old carrying a baby to term as Lily’s own body hasn’t finished developing yet. She will be at high risk of eclampsia, infection, preterm birth and intrauterine growth restriction.
So far they haven't which is a shame.

I've been thinking the same Michael. The TV magazines put out misleading teasers at times... Make you feel like you're getting the inside scoop when really there's a twist in the plot yet to come 🙂

Why are adults letting a child make a decision about a pregnancy? If she was 14 I'd get it, but she's 12 lol.
Because that’s the law. Whether they’re underage or not. You can’t physically force someone into an abortion. It has to be there choice. You can threaten the , disown them etc but can’t force them.
Jack's the worst the kind of dad. He pushed Denzel against the wall cause he saw him as a boy only after one thing from his innocent girl (even though it was Amy's idea) but when it's his son having sex suddenly girls younger than Amy are perfectly capable of being seductresses who got to his innocent little boy. Can't even keep his sexism straight. Nothing worse than a parent who thinks it's always everyone else's kids and never his own.
No wonder Denise is seeking comfort with someone else.

"Her body, Her Choice" does not apply in this situation as far as I'm concerned. Because Lily isn't the one who is going to raise and provide for that kid, it is Martin and Stacey that will have to shell out money for any expenses and they are the ones who is going to have to take care of it when Lily is at school. And they did not consent to raising another kid so if she insist on this stupidity then Lily should have it adopted.

Literally if it was my child it wouldn't have a choice. EE haven't really gone into depth of how difficult birth and raising the child in lily's circumstances. You'd expect stacey and martin to talk about this but no instead they're giving her a choice. Lily's also got her whole life ahead of her
Well, her being 12 is a pretty big factor too.
If this was my daughter, I wouldn't want this for her BUT I would do everything I needed too to support my daughter, raising her child just like I would if she was grown, if that means working around childcare again then so be it. I'm doing exactly that now whilst raising her. I work during school hours.

These two “parents” can’t support the kids they have. Martin is living with his sisters friend & Stacy is basically running a flop house. But by all means let’s have a 12 year olds baby join the scene. They’re not low class enough ugh
I love how initially Martin was so against Lily having the baby and was trying to convince Stacey to take her for a termination, but Jack coming and insisting they force Lily to terminate made him realise that its down to Lily and no one else.

I hope we get to see a little more of Lily being treated more like an adult and being provided with a lot of the information that a pregnant person needs. I feel like she’s made the decision without anyone explaining to her what the pregnancy and child birth and raising a child is like. There’s so many health and future implications that I feel they’ve not truly explained to her at this point!
@Tate Army if this was a real case scenario, I don’t know of any legal precedent that exists where the parents would be prosecuted. At this point, there’s not a lot that can be done but this show is providing families with the understanding about having a serious and honest safe sex talk at a younger age. And that’s not encouraging them to have sex at age 12 but being brutally honest with them of the serious potential repercussions of sex. If two 12 year olds have done enough research to work out how to have sex, they’re old enough to have an adult conversation about sex. But prosecuting the parents for the actions of the children would only show the kids that they are not responsible for their own actions.
Jack is such a hypocrite, I mean I don't know why the writers always make him out like he's the perfect father or something when reality he isn't since all of his kids have different mums plus he makes it all about him aswell like with Amy's Self harming and her relationships with Denzel ror example!!
This whole my body my choice thing is stupid in regards to this situation because she is literally a child and nobody has set any boundaries on her. Like not a single person has sat and told her the magnitude of her decision and the responsibilities that come with raising a child. It would have been nice if for once we saw someone getting an abortion in soap land where they aren’t plagued with guilt afterwards but where they can recognise they made the right choice for themselves in the end

Because you cannot force her to get an abortion. Sexual health is the one service that's doesn't have an age of consent for procedures, meaning if she's deemed capable she gets to make the choice.

Honey and Jay wasn't even creepy.. both of them were consenting adults and the age gap (18) was basically the same between them as with Billy and Honey(17). Sooo, double standard much?? Some men (+ women) just like older women and vise versa, and that's completely fine. Completely different case to Ricky jr. and Lily who are kids and should get rid of the baby
How is it encouraging it? These things happen. They’re clearly raising aware of how traumatic it can be to have to make a decision like Lily has to. Teenage pregnancy storylines have always been important on soaps, not once I have ever thought growing up that it would be great to be pregnant as a teen,
