Thanks for this content, actually we were discussing this part/intro for quite a time on our car between concerts last autumn somewhere in France, and I just seen it now. What a coincidence💪 All the best V

They sure are very special musicians. It's impressive they did these tracks justice live.

I did not know that about Phil's voice. Thanks for all your comments, Thomas!

I had posted this on another one of your videos, I don’t know if you listen to progressive Latin jazz but here’s one in 7/4, it’s along the lines of Cinema show but a little faster tempo, for me this is another level.th-cam.com/video/QyesR_KTYf8/w-d-xo.html

I listened, and that's really cool (although not exactly me cup of tea). I especially like the deep five-string bass and the scatting. I would call that time signature 7/8. The musicians are superb!

@@johansteenslandmusic3699 yes I would say it’s 7/8 myself but it’s titled 7/4, what impresses me is the way they can solo (especially the drummer) and the other players can keep the pulse going. Seeing it live is mind blowing. Jazz is structured to a point but mostly improv. For me it was always the next level and somewhat of a challenge in advancing my skills. It does get lost with the mainstream audience but to a lesser degree so does prog rock, music at these levels becomes more of an understanding to a point where the audience has more players than wannabes. You can go to a jazz club and maybe they’ll be 200 people there, but your pop rock band will play for 20,000…..I always say the better the musician, the smaller the audience.

@@maeu59 Love that: "the better the musician, the smaller the audience". So true!
