Eddie Jobson is just one of the finest musicians ever to walk the earth! He is literally incredible! RIP to the great John Wetton as well, taken from us way too soon.
John is one .of my favorite vocalist and song writers especially with Asia he is sorely missed. Eddie J. Is an amazing virtuoso. I love the guitar addition and the drummer is really good too.
He is phenomenal, always under-represented in Best Of lists. On violin, I think Jean Luc Ponty's fast runs are more precise, but Eddie is also plays brilliant keyboards, so he can't specialise as much.
Eddie Jobson is the most criminally underrated composer, violinist and keyboardist in rock. His compositions are always dark, with interesting intervals, timing and key changes. He is technically the best violinist in rock, his solos ("Caesar Palace Blues," for instance) are insane and precise. He rightly deserves a place alongside Wakeman, Rudess and even Emerson for his keyboard prowess. I just cannot figure it - the guy is a genius and a master musician, yet he never ever gets the attention or accolades he has deserved for decades. People usually complain about Alex Lifeson being the most underrated musician in the world (and he is definitely one of them), but Jobson, sadly and wrongly, is at the top of that infamous list.
Eddie is a genius I believe. He does so many things at an incredibly elevated level that his playing can be mesmerizing. I prefer Eddie over Wakeman and Emerson because he plays way cooler stuff and is constantly building his sound library. Rick and Keith have used the same sounds since 1972, and it’s boring. The reason that I believe he is less known than some of the other greats is that he stopped playing in bands after U.K. and focused on his solo records and commercial scoring. He’s also an absolute gentleman. There’s plenty to admire about him.
I first noticed EJ from his solo in Zappa's I Promise Not to Come in Your Mouth, which is one of the most gorgeous synth solos ever. Agree that Eddie should be rated with Wakeman and Emerson. For some reason, list-makers seem to forget that he exists.
Gracias U.K. 👍🏻👌🏻
I am always amazed at how good these guys are, RIP john, you are missed... I went to the King Crimson Concert in Mexico in July 2017 and tears came down my eyes in Starless....
OMG what a fantastic performance! I've loved Danger Money since I got it in the cassette tape bargain bin at the Princeton University bookstore in about 1981. John Wetton and Eddie Jobson are the bomb, like Tony Bozzio and the drummer on this gig!
TERRY BOZZIO drummer extraordinaire and btw I know this is Marco Minnemann I am talking about this drumline that Terry created on the original...and to those critics of Marco...are you guys nuts? If ANYONE was going to be able to play this as close to the original it would be Marco Minnemann and they style of the song (in order to sound accurate) needs to be played as close to the original as possible. Marco is probably one of the finest drummers out there today

Alex a true guitar wizard, slaying the solos and interplay. A perfect fit for the late great Allan Holdsworth. Eddie and John so masterful as always. UK Prog Unit, such stellar musicianship.
@starshiptrooper428 Bill played on UK's first album. I am a big Bill Bruford fan as well. He is amazing. The Only thing she needs is from UK's Danger Money album, and Terry Bozzio was the drummer on that one.

n for danger money they did want a guitarist , and spoke with Eric Johnson, he declined..this looks like their last great tour wish could have seen it.
Not anymore. Bozzio is now an overbearing show-off with a horrible-sounding drum-set and 500 china cymbals. A brilliant player, but his musicality and nuance is long gone. Marco is the best choice for any replaying of Jobson's music now and going forward IMHO.
Bozzio isn’t a show off. I think what Terry is doing now is some of the most innovative percussion work out there. The way he has written compositions for his tuned toms is pretty amazing. It’s ALL about nuance and musicality. It does require a very open mind though. I was fortunate to see Jobson solo as well as U.K. four times over their several year comeback. Twice with Marco Minneman (who was awesome), once with Mike Mangini (stylistically wrong for U.K. IMHO) and the final time with Bozzio. All three were great in their own way. Terry was playing a smaller version of his normal monster kit. I ended up being disappointed. I LOVE Terry’s playing. But even a smaller version of that kit simply doesn’t work in a band situation. The cymbals don’t project over other loud instruments. It’s not a kit that is meant to work in the context of most music out there, unless it’s truly Avant Garde. It’s best as a solo instrument. I wish he’d have used a normal DW kit or his old Roto Toms. He would’ve slayed it.

Mauvais choix de sonorité de la caisse claire. Désolé mais le son de la caisse claire de la batterie ne va pas dans l'ensemble des instruments et de la composition musicale... C'est ma perception personnelle.
