Hi, I bought a pair of hockey skates but I feel like the blades aren't sharpened enough. Is it possible that when you buy a new pair of skates blades aren't sharp? Is it good a 5/8'' for freestyle stops and stability?
I bought my skates at a store and they werent sharpened yet.
Ice skates NEVER come sharpened unless that specific store offers the service and you ask (and pay) for it
In my opinion, if you do stopping tricks its good to not have sharp blades since it has more grip which makes it hard to learn. For me, im using 3/8s for footwork tricks but the issue comes when i try to learn hockey stop on opposite sides, which i still havent fogure out how yet
What sharpening do you recommend for freestyle?
Whatever feels best for you is the best for your freestyle. S is pretty common. I use S11
I have a question about the screws to hold the stabilizers, I have the stock plastic and screw ones however a few are broken its sturdy i have skated on them for a few hours and no problems.
However, I want replace them for safety, if i order the t blade steel screws and nutsi have to pay extra for international shipping.
Is there an alternative, like screws i can buy from stores instead of having to wait a whole week?
Unfortunately not, the whole system has a special unique Design that fits nothing else.

Edit: I think t-blade just recently stopped delivering to England. So its a bit of a problem😂😂
