Very exciting to see this video of one of my favorite songs of all time and the magnificent drawings of Roger Dean. A true gem. My sincere congratulations to the author.
The makers of the film Avatar completely stole Roger’s art style - and flatly refused to acknowledge it. He tried, and failed, to take them to court. How any judge could not see the similarities is beyond belief. Disgraceful that a multi millionaire like James Cameron could steal another artist’s ideas and not admit to it! Roger deserves far more respect than he currently enjoys...
James Cameron has never been averse to plagiarism. He credited the screenplay of Terminator to himself and Gale Ann Hurd, rather than admitting to having ripped off an old episode of The Outer Limits called 'Solder', written by Harlan Ellison.
There can be no doubt Avatar was a comprehensive Roger Dean rip off. I've been looking at Rogers work now for nigh on 50 years. It always compliments the music and allows you to escape other places. ..........
Two of my favorites as one, Roger Dean and Yes a powerful and peaceful presence.
This is an older post, but it's wonderful. I've been inspired by Dean's work for decades.

Wow, this takes me back to when I first discovered Yes and Roger Dean's art. One of my most magical moments was when I still lived in a village outside Gloucester and there was heavy snowfall in the early part of 1976. Listening to the Close to the Edge album while viewing a somewhat surreal snowy landscape was almost like being in a Roger Dean painting in itself. Thanks for posting.

The graphics are from Uriah Heep not Yes. Both Artists use Roger Dean art works. The one depicted is from the vinyl album Magician’s Birthday.
