Neurofeedback didn’t work for my OCD and made other aspects worse. I did 2-3xs a week for 3 months, spent 10k with someone who was a “specialist” and on some board for reading MRI’s. I wish I could take all that back but of course, that’s my experience and not necessarily will be for everyone.
I am wondering if mindfulness can be used a form of pseudo biofeedback. For example, when I have an increase of obsessive symptoms, I imagine an image of my brain and the orbitofrontal cortex lighting up (in order to signify its hyperactivity). I find if I can sustain this for a short period of time, my symptoms decrease. The longer I can maintain this mindful imaging, the more effective the calming result. I wonder if using this mindfulness imagery, detracts energy from the hyperactive orbitofrontal cortex.
It's a good idea, I tried that yesterday and it worked! I'm not a physiologist or a doctor but I think this kind of methods work! Excellent advice! Thank you!:) Take care!🤗
I also use that kind of method but for headache that I found in this video th-cam.com/video/UKGtv84aSjo/w-d-xo.html. It worked! For the first try it was amazing! Hope this will help too:)
Because the causes of OCD can be of a wide range... but if ocd developed from a trauma (past).. then .... here I want to ask that... the function of our brain which is distorted in severe OCD.... can be normal for forever.. I mean the level of serotonin can be normal... in other words can OCD be cured (not the on &off of symptoms over time) but completely cured?

Thanks. The book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels was also helpful.

OCD controls me everything I will die from it I'm sure.
Look up low dose naltrexone, it looks promising. I'm thinking of trying it.
Same
Yep. Me too.
There is hope, have faith and try different treatments and something will definitely stick.. 🙏🙏
