Legal and Chinese were completed before this year:)
congratulations!!!! you did really well and im happy for you!!! im from NSW and did the hsc and im glad you got such a high result !!

Woah great job! Class of 2020 start their exams in two weeks and I'm trying to find some motivation to study lol
thanks! I was there last year and it's def not easy haha. not sure watching atar reactions will help😂 but good luck!
@@keona8640 Haha I'm sure it won't hurt. I'm aiming for a similar ATAR to what you got so it's kind of motivating seeing how relieved and astounded you seemed when you got your results
@@dylan7476 ahaha fair enough. and yeah, it's definitely so unpredictable! the way it's set up is so anticlimactic as well like you just enter your login details and the scores are right there lol
@@keona8640 Haha yeah it feels like there should be a bigger buildup or some anticipation.
Congratulations again on your results, what are you studying now? Assuming you're are uni
@@dylan7476 maybe some background music?? lmao and I'm studying arts at uni rn:))
holy shit you did so well sis 🥳 congrats !!
thank uu😊💕
woww if only I could relate to these scores 😅 great job !!
thanks!! but don't worry, your scores don't reflect your worth/potential at all:)))
Omg dudeeee well done this is an incredible effort 💖🤩
you're too kind! thank uu
Congratulations for the amazing ATAR Keona. What advice do you have for English and Methods?
Thank you!! This video was uploaded a few years ago now and I gave advice from my experience at the time on those subjects (you can find other videos on my channel). However, you might want to look for more updated resources as I graduated in 2019.
I can direct you to @JLTutoring on youtube, who is a mutual friend that has done well in VCE recently and has more up-to-date advice! Of course I don't have personal experience implementing his tips, but he has a lot of videos that cover relevant topics.
All the best for your studies ahead😊
@@keona8640 oh sorry didn't see the other videos lol, thanks for replying😄
amazing results!! great work lovely 💕
also congrats on doing so well in lote like dang that shit is HARD
thank you for your sweet comments! and yes LOTE was very hard hahah
Congratulations you did so well👏🏾👏🏾💕. Seeing all these atar reactions make me so nervous for year twelve.
thank u
Hi Keona, late congratulations for the high ATAR, I’m currently doing Unit 1/2 Psychology, any tips for doing well and achieving a high raw score. Thank you 🙏
@@derek5277 Thanks Derek! I have another video up about what I did to study (I did VCE a while ago now so that's probably the best place to check for specific tips😅).
Off the top of my head, I would say to make sure to look at the study design carefully and only learn the info you need based on that. Hopefully your teacher does this well! I had a few that strayed from the study design unfortunately.
Other than that, psych is a subject I crammed a lot for tbh. Not proud of it haha but when I was revising for SACs, mindmaps and keywords helped me to recall info very well and trigger my memory during the actual SAC.
Hope this helps and all the best 😊
@@derek5277 I think this is the video where I broke down what I did for each subject: th-cam.com/video/j8pnE1j2JXA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IDKQ2uzDhBT5M3Th
"Isnt that what they all say? I didnt expect that" said politely..thank you
what a chill reaction.
shock does that to u hahah
aha fr keeping going though !
*studies every night for 8 hours*-UhHhHhH wOoOoWwW i ExPeCtEd lOwEr, nah but for real well done, thats impressive.
trying to figure out if this is a compliment or not...🤔🤔
@@keona8640 its simply me wanting ur number, myns 000, call me ;)
damn, ur real name is Emergency Services?
@@keona8640 im here to help put ur fire atar out with poor decisions ;)
lmao i already tried that. luckily it didn't work:)
Omg... congratulation 😸😸😸. Your hard work has paid off... btw welcome to the 98+ gang. Tmr we SACE getting their ATAR. Wish them luck aiyooo
Congrats on the amazing atar! Was wondering if there was any advice you would give for studying methods and legal as I am doing those subjects next year :D Goodluck for 2020.
hiya!! thank u for ur comment:)) for legal, i would say know the study design super well and make sure you know advantages & disadvantages for just about everything mentioned on the sd (to evaluate well). for methods, don't stress too much for sacs. i literally failed one of mine and did very average for the rest; the exam is much more important. practice exams leading up to the actual thing are sooo important, but quality > quantity, meaning make sure u understand the concepts and the mistakes you made. hope my comment wasn't too long & it helps, good luck to u too!!
@@keona8640 well hiya is my name lol
congratulations!! ❤️❤️
thank uuu:)))
Keona no worries ! Right now I’m in yr 11/12 and I am panicking over my atar and it gives me hope to see yours ! What are you planning to study
aww don't forget enjoy your holidays! i'm hoping to study arts:)
Bruh... here's me trying to scrape an 80 this year lmao
valid and good luck!!
Hi Keona! I'm only still in Grade 8 and I still have a long way till VCE but I enjoy watching these ATAR reactions. I am really aiming to get a 98 or above (although i still have so many years to go by). I just wanted to ask, during your time at highschool (Year 7-9), were you attaining very high scores and like did you get DUX of your class/grade, etc? I'm just wondering what it takes to get such a good atar! Anyways, I hope you are going well! Hope you can respond :)
Hi Ranusha, thank you for your comment! I hope you can enjoy high school atm and not stress too much just yet haha.
To answer your first question, I think I probably was among the highest scoring students in my grade from y7-8. Don't think we had a recognised dux back then though! I started at a new school in y9 which was more academically focused, so being one of the higher scorers definitely changed, but I would say I was still doing pretty well across the board standing alone. In y10-12, my grades definitely fluctuated depending on the subject.
For your second question, I wish I could tell you! I think it's really a combination of a lot of hard work, knowing your natural strengths/weaknesses so that you can work around them (tutoring is a big help for many students), and a bit of luck. Feel free to ask more questions though!
All the best, Keona:))
Thank you so much Keona for your response. I hope you are going well in your University Course!! My dream subjects for VCE is Methods, Specialist, Chem, Physics, English and not sure on the last one lol! Yea I don't know why I'm worrying about this when I have 4 years +. Were you like this? Anyways, sorry to bother; good luck and all the best :)
Did u do English advanced or standard? Also good job!!!
thank you! I did standard english in vce:)) I'm not sure if you mean english literature by advanced?
That's cool you got to study two subjects early. At my school we can only do one and we can only choose art, business or hhd. Also if we choose to study one of these subjects early we have to do it in year 11 not 10. Also does your school teach two languages, is that how you ended up doing two? Mine only teaches one. Thanks for the video.
I did Chinese outside of my high school at a separate chinese school! then did german at high school 😊
all the best with your studies!
@@keona8640 That's cool. Thank you!
Hey in my school in year 10 we are allowed to do methods, bio, physics and any language. We can do any 2. Not chem or spesh tho lol
@@abhipatel4595 oh wow that's so early! And I definitely see why they'd keep those 2 tough subjects for later years haha😅
@@keona8640 yeah lol in previous years, they have only ever allowed bio and physics, they are allowed methods for the first time this year, lucky for me lol maths my fav subject
Could you make a study tips video? I am going into year 10 and I am doing Chinese SLA and possibly methods vce units 1&2 in year 10, and I feel like I need better skills for more efficient study. Congrats on your scoreee
thanks for ur comment!! I'm making a vid about my vce experience (like subject selection etc) if ur interested in that! and I'm also planning one about studying/notes in particular:) uni just started up again tho so it might take a bit:(( all the best for y10 xxx
@@keona8640 omg that would help so much tyy
Zoe omg bro
Zoe im just watching these to think abt how badly im going to fail in year 12
Just out of curiousity what kind of grades did you get throughout high school?
every school has different assessments so grades aren't always the most accurate judgement of a student's ability! that being said, in year 7/8 I received mostly As. In y9 I entered a new school (more academically focused) so they were kinda up and down but in the B range. hope this helps :)
how do u do well in methods? i’m doing the 3/4 next year and i’m kinda stressing. for 1/2 my results were kinda all over the place but i ended up with like an A average
heya! tbh my sacs were very average, but i tried to make up for it in my exams bc they're weighted way more. I did the vcaa prac exams and the 2018-19 commercials ones as well but make sure to actually understand and learn from ur mistakes. quality > quantity. hope this helps:)
@@keona8640 thanks!
This is amazing how did you achieve a result this high how wish I was that smart!
How much study did you do over the summer holidays
not too much tbh! mostly worked on methods and german:)) and I read through the english texts
noice you smashed it
aw thank u!!:)))
I see u on a lot of star reaction videos hope u do good, btw I’m in yr7
im in yr 9 currently and i just picked my pre vce subjects prevceenglish/genrel maths/psyhc/hhd/pyshcial ed and food studies and im FRICKIN SCARED FOR NEXT YR
All the best! You seem like you have a good mix of subjects so I hope next year is really fun for you😊
Please do a video on how you studied for all the subjects
hi keona! its been a year since you finished vce, how are you going? which uni? which course?
hey Alexia, thanks for asking!! I'm going pretty well, studying Arts at Melbourne uni:)) it's all still online and I'm still trying to figure out my major but all in good time ig haha. how are you doing?
thats good to hear! i am glad you are going good! yes i am doing vce this year :)
good luck!! hopefully this year won't be anywhere as affected as the last:))
How did u get 98 atar with those marks do they scale up
not sure if u can see in the video but methods, german and chinese are subjects that scale up:)
and those marks are out of 50. they get study scores
hi keona:) i’m in yr 11 rn + i’m doing german and chinese second language for vce as well. do you have any study tips that you can share with me?☺️ btw good luck with whatever you’re planning to do in the future💖
heya!! first of all, good luck:D two languages is a big workload, especially in the same year (if ur doing that). the most important thing for language I would say is to do consistent work. listening and speaking will probably be the hardest bc it's a lot rarer to have german people around, so make sure you listen to a lot of german radio, tv shows, YT vids regularly... anything you can find. it doesn't even have to be educational; just to get urself used to the language. ik it sounds a bit weird, but if u can, set times to speak german with ur friends. i did this a few times & it rlly helped since everyone has different areas of vocab & u can help each other out:)
p.s. make sure to memorise ur declension tables!!
Chinese is quite different in that it involves lots of memorisation (at least in my experience) so it just really pays to be prepared. get people u know to test u for the oral - just asking random q.s (if applicable) I did it a while ago so I'm afraid I can't help u a lot there:((((
thank u so much and i hope this helps
Keona lots of love💋🥺💖💜
When did you start studying for vce did you start super early I'm trying spec in yr 9 is it too early?
I actually just followed the regular curriculum for vce, doing chinese in y10, legal studies in y11 and the rest in y12. I think the only subject I started 'early' (in the y11 summer holidays) would be methods, as a lot of people try to get ahead. That gave a bit more time later in the year to start practice exams.
I don't know if there are benefits to starting so early like in year 9, as you do some important concepts in y9&10 that will be foundational for vce maths. But if you feel like you're up to it, why not?
OMG well done! What do you what to do next year?
thank you! I'm hoping to study arts next year:))
@@keona8640 surely not...
you’re so smart!! holy shit that’s amazing congratulations
thank you so much!!
You deserve so much more subscribers!!!
Do you have any tips for legal?? I’m so scared for it next year 😓
aw don't be too stressed!! make sure to make/find(?) a really good set of notes and keep adding to it throughout the year. that way when it comes to sacs or the final exam you have everything there and don't need to panic and write them all up like I did😅
practice writing questions as well! almost as important as knowing the content😊 good luck and all the best xx
@@keona8640 thank youuuu 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
