- Netdata is a highly optimized Linux daemon providing real-time performance & monitoring for Linux systems, including OpenWRT. The dashboard will show us the CPU usage, inbound and outbond traffic for each of the network interfaces, connections going throgh the firewall and, etc. In this video, we will install netdata agent on OpenWRT router. We will learn how to install the package with LuCI and access the GUI.
We can also install it with CLI with opkg update && opkg install netdata

Thank you, glad you like them! Happy new year!
I'm looking forward to see the next video (Part 2) on how to integrate this Netdata to the Netdata Cloud for more management
Good one for the end of 2020. Done installed. Thanks again
Great to hear Cheers!
Thank you for your amazing openwrt videos I just wanted to block ads so I can watch anime on my Xbox but learned more alone the way!
Another excellent video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for making the video. Awesome.
Glad you liked it!
thanks bro, so useful this one.
very useful, thanks bro.
You're welcome.
Does this package impact performance on lower end routers?
Can it save any selected data into a log file? For example sensors. If yes, how to do it?
Hi, is it possible to monitor a few routers at the same time?
why is my netdata showing the same inbound and outbound speed? how do i configure this to show the right speeds? And eth0.1 seems to be reversed, when im downloading the SENT graph is moving instead of RECEIVED?
UPDATE: it seems the system overview is showing a different interface and its current speed. my WAN is currently on eth0.2. how do i set netdata to show eth0.2 speed instead of my br-lan which i assume its showing the speed on the system overview.
Outstanding, man. thank u a lot for sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Van great video again 👊🏽👊🏽 .when u going video about Qos video?
Thank you! No ETA, but work in progress.
This very usefull for me
How to view each client data usage and connection like ntopng?
thanks mas bro
any app of netdata to see the info from the smartphone?
Is is always :19999 to access only the latest installed plugin?
Hi Van Tech, thank you for the video. Just asking how to monitor the incoming forwarded ports in Netdata? Thanks.
You're welcome. To monitor incoming & out-going packets, I will monitor it with LuCI's Firewall page.
After login to LuCI: Status - Firewall and you will find that. Else, you can monitor the active connection on Status -> Realtime Graph - Connections.
@@VanTechCorner found it! thanks shifu!
@@VanTechCorner please post video for remote access via internet for our OpenWRT. Thanks in advance!
Wow wow man, youre a God.net
Sir i cant open netdata gui in routet ip:19999??

@@leandroschwab still cannot tried that lol
Hello Van, can Netdata do the same as luci-app-statistics? As in tells me how much download my network has done in a month? Can Netdata do that???
Hi, the package can do that; however, you will need to configure it instead of using the default configuration comes with the package. Here is the link to the docs if you want to learn more about it learn.netdata.cloud/docs/
i opened port 19999 to access netdata remotely... strangely it can't be accessed remotely but only internally
Use the DNS address instead of the 192
Do you support customizing openwrt as required
Hi, I don't provide any service related to OpenWRT.
thank you
You're welcome
❤️❤️
why i cant install this. should i update all my packages?
Hey, you have to run opkg update first, and then opkg install netdata to install the package.
@@VanTechCorner is that the update list button on software tab?
how to install NetData on Mikrotik?
Hey, I am not really sure about RouterOS but I think that you can use docker to install NetData (maybe). Here is the link to the document if you need learn.netdata.cloud/docs/agent/packaging/docker
How to config netdata auto starting at boot?
It should start automatically if you install using opkg/Software tab. For manual installation, you can modify the rc.local to make do so.
@@VanTechCorner can u tell me how to modify rc.local ? Thanks u.
I love you
Thanks for the comment. If you are using OpenWRT with x86, you can also install netdata cloud (information of the OpenWRT router will be sync'ed with netdata.cloud and you and monitor it anywhere). You can grab the tutorial here th-cam.com/video/c8nViaoGZaU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=VanTechCorner
192.168.8.1 : or ;?

I encountered this error when accessing the GUI, do you have any suggestions for how to fix it?
