I've been working over at that building and the patient rooms have pre-heat flursent prescolite night lights. They have long been disconnected but have similar internals to the exit signs but use 120 volt ballasts opposed to the 277.
That's cool and thanks for sharing the info about the building. I will go with whatever ballast I can find that will work with the bulb. The voltage isn't issue since I have a step up international transformer that will allow 277 volt only fixtures to work at home. If I can find a 120 volt ballast that will be even better just will take some shopping around.
