One Ring Board Control - I fixed Rakdos Scam in Timeless

- Today we're trying to innovate on the Rakdos Scam list. The status quo Rakdos Scam list is more or less a direct port from modern with Reanimate shoved in, but I think we can do much better. The original scam list has a lot of bad matchups, and suffers a lot against the fair decks of the format. I played this deck even more after recording and it feels very good. Do you think this is the right direction to go with Scam?

I played a bunch more with the deck after recording and it does feel really sweet. The play patterns are really similar to the old Mono Black One Ring deck which makes me super happy. Kroxa also continued to overperform for me, it was originally in the deck just for red/black color count, but it won me several games. Hasty escaped Kroxa with Arena of Glory is disgusting!

Awesome tech dude! I've been working on the same problem with RB scam, only I tried a different approach to improving top decks by building it more aggressive with DRC (gameplay on my channel). I've also been playing mono Black and love Dark Rit/Ring/Sheoldred, so I'm loving this list! Thanks for sharing, will definitely give it a try!
Agree on Troll. As a zoo main pre-MH3, you had to race it or draw Leyline. But post-MH3 energy decks often have enough tokens to block it, don't mind blocking if that helps them flip their Ajani, and have lots of life gain to give them an edge in the race. Very poorly positioned at the moment.

Its a different metagame, it might rise up even higher once Nadu goes away. And its not like the energy deck is terrible in Modern, its arguably a top 5 deck right now. And plus, timeless is mostly ladder play with no big tournaments. At a big tournament Boros could get demolished by the really good SnT pilots and look terrible.

I'm not much of a control mage so probably not soon. I have an esper ephemerate video coming up in 2 days (not much of a control deck though)

Its restricted, you can play the one copy if you want. I was struggling to get enough red cards for Fury in the maindeck so I ended up not playing it. This deck does have a lot of redundancy and card draw in it so I don't think DT is a necessary inclusion.

@@jesussuperstar3406 I love that card (Inti)! I think he's much better in aggro decks than this deck tho. We need a density of cheap creatures attacking to take advantage of his ability.
