A lot of books you talked about I have been interested in for awhile. My TBR just keeps getting longer and longer. I'm really excited to get The Woman in my book of the month box and start reading it. You had a great reading month.
I’ve seen the Lessons in Chemistry cover so many times but don’t think I’ve ever really heard a review so I didn’t know what it was about. I always thought it was a romance… I need to pick it up now that I know it’s more historical fiction! That’s more up my alley. I liked Bright Young Women and Yellowface too. So good!
What a fabulous video! I haven’t read anything by Kristin Hannah…yet. The Women sounds interesting. I was still in grade school when Viet Nam vets were coming home and being treated very poorly by so many here at home. I will check out the content warnings. This one sounds very interesting to me. I am so glad you liked The Mystery Guest! I fell in love with Molly in The Maid and wanted to hear more of her story. Both books are in my library and I now feel brave enough to read The Mystery Guest. I found My Mechanical Romance in Libby and quickly downloaded it. Thank you for the great recommendations.
Thanks for this great video. Bright Young Women was a 5 star read for me in January -- an excellent book. While reading it you are heartbroken and open mouthed with shock -- and yet at the same time, not surprised at all, at how these women were treated. I could not watch the discussion live -- but I did get a lot out of your discussion with Gabby and Elizabeth -- so thank you. The only other one I have read (also last month) was The Mystery Guest -- it was a 3 star for me. I enjoyed being with the caracter of Molly once again -- but found it not quite as good as The Maid was. Yellowface and the series by Ashley Herring Blake are on my TBR -- hopefully I will get to them soon -- and enjoy them.
Yellow face is so good! I read love and other disasters by Anita Kelly last year, and I’m excited to get to something wild and wonderful! I liked love and other disasters alright, but I think I will like something wild and wonderful more.

Yeah I have heard better reviews overall about something wild and wonderful so I’m hopeful their writing just gets better and better with each book!
