Awesome! Would it work if you put in a wind up motor or maybe two of them instead of the weights?

My guess: two wind up motor would be enough for the cuckoo mechanism. See my previous video, where I used one motor for the cuckoo. It was a bit weak and therefore unreliable for that job.
