I’m having a hard time playing the predator, I guess it’s one of those things the more you play the better you get. I wish they had an AI fire team in private play so people can keep practicing
I’ve never found it difficult to play the predator. I’ve only lost 1 game out of the 20+ games I’ve played. The controls on the computer are very weird as the predator. But other than that I’ve found it really balanced. Most people just don’t know the basics of him. Most videos I see of people playing the predator don’t know that you can charge his shoulder cannon.. and that alone makes the predator significantly better.
Anyone had a match where they’re being hunted and the fireteam can just see you no matter where you are and they just unload into you and kill you really freakin fast then you run away and heal, and you just hide in the forest or something and they keep finding you and gunning you down? I’ve had a small handful of matches like that...

I've tried to be a patient predator but it seems like when I don't attack right away within 5 mins they already calling the chopper. I wish the game would say what the fireteam is currently doing so I can plan my attack.. I think the predator should get a rage mode like Jason. he should get stronger as the match go on it would make the fireteam do the missions faster instead of just ignoring them and spending the whole match staring up in the trees hunting the predator.. no one feels scared of him it seems
There's no reason to be scared of Predator as he isn't intimidating, the Fireteam has loads of perks that counter every strategy he has, they can see your traps, stay muddied longer, hide their heat, suppressors, take less damage, DO more damage etc. Maybe if Predator's weapons were a bit easier to use or had more power behind them he would be scary and they wouldn't just hunt the hunter the moment they see him. It also does not help that during 2nd Wind you are locked out of Leaping or climbing trees which makes following the Predator super easy.

I can't be a effective predator just trying to switch thru his gadgets.. the wheel needs to go away so may times I'm tryin to use his cannon and on a quick switch I'm on the medkit.. a simple right on d pad to switch to all his gadgets and gear would be easier for me.. he's so weak when trying to make quick changes on the fly I feel he's even worse
@@HatCreature A high level Predator is still pretty scary... He can get shredded if you just jump in yeah... but if you do hit and run tactics and get them panicking and use up all their heals you can make them panick and they make mistakes.. I usually jump in just to see how they react.. and I have won most mathes with the Pred only losing 4 matches at this point... I'm at lvl 32 so I can only imagine how badass I can be once I get his combistick
@@blackonbothsides2882 the quick switch is for the previous two items you used. With the left D pad button. The issue is that the Predator takes a minute to switch weapons. There is a perk unlockable to speed up his switches. Also to conserve stamina with every Predator other than the Berserker just use the leap instead of sprinting to fast travel.
Obi Wan Kenobi think is most people don’t usually panick cause they ARNT SCARED IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Q-Q and even then if they do get scared they all just rush the objectives..I want predator to be a bit stronger (not like a god buff but enough to make the player actually kind of scared of his actual existence instead of literally hunting him down like they are predator :l
The Warchief Zeke Jaeger I’ve been spotted from half a mile away in the game crouching in a tree motionless and cloaked. Any reason what have me away? 2-3 guys just unloaded into the predator took out the mask and brought me down to no health and I had to retreat. They kept doing that the whole match. I’ve had that 2-3 times.
Well, branches are stationary. If you aim the blaster and there's a tree branch in the way, you'll hit it. Keep that in mind. It's the same in most games apart from this one. If you're talking about a geometrical bug, then I suggest reporting it to the developer if possible.
When I'm on the fireteam my group doesnt stick together , doesnt shoot or throw grenades at the predator while I'm being mauled to death . When I'm playing the predator , team is grouped up , doing each objective in 20 seconds, always being right beside each other . I hope the predator equipment gets you better , because idk if a buff is nessesary because it's all scenario based and who's on your team.
The hardest thing I'm dealing with is that the Fireteam sees me before I see them and Spot me, finding the actual Fireteam can be difficult when they got suppressors and covered in mud and using thermal perks but when I find the camp they're in a lot of times they Spot me before I find out which of the soldiers are AI or actually people. For example I just jumped up a tree next to the camp they were at and BAM Spotted before I even knew they were there.
I became sooooo good at the scout! I like to make use of everything I have, my bow, plasma caster, wrist blades and combistick :3 I use them all and im really good at it!
Don't always claim... Sometimes it's good to leave one downed and have your charged shot ready... so that when they try to revive you can get an instant down plus splash damage to anyone close enough... then just get in and finish with the melee
Honestly. The biggest thing I've learned playing Pred. NEVER EVER melee rush 3-4 players. 2, ok. 1, perfect. But NEVER melee with 3 or 4 there. You will get your ass shredded. Also, to balance. I'd just make pred a little squishier but damage up. He feels like he takes too long to down sometimes, it would keep fireteams on their toes without making them feel like they cant do anything.
One tip I would give as the predator is that when the enemy is reinforcing the fire team don’t go to the reinforcement spot instead let them reinforce the fire team because once they all spawn in you will get shredded. However if there is only one player left and they are trying to reinforce the fire team go kill them before the fire team red pawns because that still counts as killing all fire team members since the others have not been revived yet
Wow, first player I've watched (and I watched MANY during the trail period) that's coming out with solid tips, like surveying and staying smart. And you said "cloaked", not "invisible". And the mechanics of being less visible while staying cloaked is in the tutorial but no one bothered to read that, and then perhaps someone accidentally noticed that during gameplay. I'm glad to hear the developer updated the NPCs.
4:00 is him wondering why the game would let you go in with less than 4. Last night I played as the predator and I was sitting in the lobby with one other fireteam member. After a certain amount of time the game started with just me and the one fireteam member. I felt bad so I helped the dude complete the objectives
If you charge your shoulder canon.. it does almost triple damage than spam shooting it. You can two shot most fire team members with direct hits. And also quit jumping to melee the entire team... it’s a game of attrition. They only have so many health recovery items. And the predator can also destroy health and ammo spawns around the map. So even if you can’t finish a fire team member immediately. Just sit back and snipe everyone, and after you down two members with you shoulder gun then jump in and melee the other two. Instant win

They actually have a LOT of health recovery options. There's the standard syringes, there's the Medbags they can carry, and there's the Medstations at the bases, plus even if you kill them they can all be brought back with a revive and full gear.
Two things about the cloaking. First of all the standing still while cloaked should make you invisible, as per Devs. But more importantly, I've been spotted while crouch/cloak on trees, so something is not right, also the spotting ability of the fireteams is overpowered period.

I have only played as the Predator from the start and it does get better yes you are going to take some bumps and bruises but the more you level up the more you unlock and the better off you are overall. with that said this game IMO comes down to patience I often will trigger chaos with the cartels or something just to get the alarms sounded off this way by the time fire team arrives they have their hands full, and its at that moment that I am picking them off one by one However sometimes in fact almost every time if you put one of the fire team members down another comes immediately in attempt to save him thats where you can wait and take him out as he does or when you are done dropping a fire team member throw down a bear trap so when the other comes to save him he gets trapped drawing in another fire time member its all about timing with this game if you rush likely you will get rushed if you take your time and set up traps usually you will have a bit of luck
Iv been able to keep a lot of fire teams on lock since launch. Only thing that annoys me anymore is getting a entire team of assaults tht do nothing but guard the trees.
I just can’t play the predator I’m just bad and it sucks because I want to practice but I CANT CAUSE TNE LOAD TIMES, I feel like when I play as the human I get with a team who sucks, yet when I’m playing the predator they freaking sniff me out like blood hounds and I run and try to hide and it’s like I hate that feeling that I’m being hunted, it’s annoying
This video reminded me of being the only fireteam in the mission and winning against a scared berserker who didn’t seem to realize i was the only one here
To conserve stamina with every Predator other than the Berserker just use the leap instead of sprinting to fast travel. Trees take too long when trying to get somewhere fast.
I see now that that's an option I guess you can't play as him while in a party that's a huge disappointment. Thanks for replying though I appreciate it.
Now I do have one thing to say you said not to attack a full team well I’ve managed to 1v3 and survive using the net gun alone or plus a bear trap stopping some from shooting some from moving allowing me to slam the first 3 its very possible even without equipment I’ve managed to ground a team all in the same place using cover and my speed as an advantage
I like the predator but damn it is tough. When I try to cloak while inferred is active it’s hard to tell if I’m invisible or not. I wish I had friends to help me with it or possibly play with. Also is there a discord for this game? I want to meet other players and make more friends and possibly learn from them.
The predator perk that gives you an XP boost to the points you earned, is it worth it to carry at all? Is the boost significant? If not I'm just gonna stop carrying it
I just started playing this game and I LOVE the Predator bro I haven't even tried the fireteam. This game is a blast but I am truly a noob I've only killed 2 players 🤣
What I have learned is that if the fireteam decides to hunt you and not do objectives they lose anyhow if you are still alive. It wouldn't be necessary to kill them all but maybe still kill 1 or 3 to at least get more xp.
My first match as the Predator I managed to claim one skull, and take out two more with the self destruct. Not exactly a win per say, but I got the last laugh on the idiots who thought standing around and shooting my body after I activated the bomb was a smart idea.
Please make a video showing the best Fireteam loadouts and weapons. No one online is showing the Marines. People end up playing as solder more than the Predator so why not show some tips on the Fireteam.
That’s very true the predator is extremely weak but that’s just your team or you personally as a predator only main ive dropped countless teams and only lost 3 games and I’m level 38 now it depends on the predator
@@moochyaldridge6205 I play with 3 other guys and we stay close together never run off and we never lose, we get downed a bit though.... as the predator by myself it depends I'm 44 and the best thing by far is the combi stick but I'm seeing full teams of supports now and they can wreck you in seconds
crazydude415 Theres countless ways to drop a team of 4 even communicating no one is using his stuff to the fullest bear traps and net guns are also very efficient if used correctly I’ve been in games with teams of 3 supports and an assault and I’ve not even had to use one healing item as I said it depends on the predator communication is key but communication can’t always trump skill
@@moochyaldridge6205 I don't think the net gun is very good players can break out of it as for traps I haven't used yet, I normally can get 3/4 players in a game other's I win with ease other's I get wasted in like 4 mins just due to them not playing the objective and watching the trees all game but in any game you just go in for melee is a risk

I found the problem I’ve been having. If you’re playing PS4 just turn off the cross play feature. Cheating MFers on PC. Just had a match where second I was outside the base they were in I was spotted. Whole fireteam shooting at me while I’m in a tree cloaked a good distance away. No matter how far I ran through the trees or behind trees I stayed spotted. They were hitting me from what felt like half a map away where I can’t even see them. Playing against people on PS4 is fine and balanced now it feels. I win some I lose some whether as Predator or Fireteam. But against these PC players it’s bull. Can almost guarantee they’re using an aimbot of some sort. They didn’t even kill any NPC’s really. Just waited for me to show up. After running away far enough, I returned to try again, same exact thing. Spotted the second I was outside the base while they were inside a building waiting for me.
I swear to god I get enemies who completely disregard the fucking missions and go for me, I mean FFS, 5 second into a game and I’m beamed right away!🤬😡
What I want to know is how to get faster trophy kills because every time I’m the predator, he takes his long ass time to just rip the head off one of the fire team members!
I dont even use the trees tbh.. I just run around cloaked and caych them in cramped areas where they all cant shoot me right away.. Corners 1 or 2 ppl in a building etc.. And combistick them all.. Its so easy to wipe fireteams.. Anyone crying about the pred being weak just dont know how to play and suck at the game
That's because you use Combistick, you scrub. I bet you even run that extra melee damafe perk too, and play Berzerker. It's easy to kill with that set up. There's literally ZERO challenge. Go get good.

For everyone saying that Fire team is op just watch my video and the other videos on my channel. The game seems one sided for all beginners but once you learn how to play and when to push.
I was in this is my trick this is what happened to me I was in front of the whole tire fireteam but I was invisible crouching none of them noticed me so be ready in the emergency world fryer team members old soldiers or front of you don't move in crouch invisible and cloak until they'll all look away or go to different places and then that's your place to run and then after that go kill them split apart
People are starting to notice more and more that they can fuck up the predator very easily. They can spam ping you so cloak is useless. Most of the weapons are terrible and next to worthless. His health is TERRIBLE! You can kill him with 2 - 3 nicely aimed clips and that's by yourself. Don't get me started on when the fireteam stick together.
I mostly play fire team and even I can say that the double time perk is absolutely ridiculous. Why would running away and parkouring over and around ledges and stair cases be a variable strategy for avoiding a melee predator? So fucking stupid
Predator is way to weak in this game. It's frustrating. You pretty much have to go all in with every attack, because killing just one or two leads to their resurrection in like 40 seconds. And to damage and flee doesn't work either, because the fireteam has way to much health items and can even find plenty on the map. There is no practical stealth game.
The fact your mask can be knocked off is utter bullshit, and honestly the predator is underpowered for what they are, but this video did make me realise a few holes in my strategies.

A lot of predators are just being lame and just rushing with beserk and combi stick -_- the match ends too fast for both sides and it gets boring vsing the same types of players who just constantly do this
I feel like more inspiration should be taken from the avp 2010 predator for this game. It obviously is already but the avp 2010 predator was actually fun to play in the juggernaut game mode for multiplayer. The hunting ground predator feels more like a chore to play as. Maybe adding a mode where you fight an AI fireteam with adjustable difficulty would be a good idea too as to get players more used to the learning curve because the current training mode is next to useless
The game is poorly designed. You're easily detectable in cloak and humans tend to run too much. They huddle too much because as we all know, the predator movies are a thing. This game is a waste of money
i don't see the point of giving a game about hunting and strategy making and environmental studying and over all USING YOUR BRAIN to players who just want to run and gun and that's all ... just like Evolve, these games aren't for FPS players.

You’re not alone. I’ve played many games as the predator. Not once have I eliminated the fire team. Killed 1 or 2 members. But that’s it.
I'm sure they will add AI Bots in a later update just like they did with Friday the 13th.

Actually the camo gets even better depending on how still your are, crouch and standing still is maximum invisibility.

You don’t have to crouch, you just need to stand still
They need to fix those damn branches. They can literally block your shots as both predator and fire team

use the perk that shows footsteps, it counters all camo and surpressors because their footsteps are still red/orange in thermal

Iv been able to keep a lot of fire teams on lock since launch. Only thing that annoys me anymore is getting a entire team of assaults tht do nothing but guard the trees.
U can button map to use last 4 weapon slots I believe and u can use the use last weapon slot
I learned to counter that knowledge by doing the opposite. They know it's the predator's bread and butter
I like how some people on the fire team can just auto-find you and then they somehow just turn into a laser and destroy you in half a second
I just can’t play the predator I’m just bad and it sucks because I want to practice but I CANT CAUSE TNE LOAD TIMES, I feel like when I play as the human I get with a team who sucks, yet when I’m playing the predator they freaking sniff me out like blood hounds and I run and try to hide and it’s like I hate that feeling that I’m being hunted, it’s annoying
Go to a private match invite a couple people and practice there

Even if this is the best way to play him, your W/L rate will still be negative due to the ease of play for the Fireteam.
Are you still completely invisible while aiming when standing still? Like aiming the bow while cloaked?

This video reminded me of being the only fireteam in the mission and winning against a scared berserker who didn’t seem to realize i was the only one here
To conserve stamina with every Predator other than the Berserker just use the leap instead of sprinting to fast travel. Trees take too long when trying to get somewhere fast.

Game definitely has a problem having people load in as Predator. And then when you do play as him he's very very glitchy!

Now I do have one thing to say you said not to attack a full team well I’ve managed to 1v3 and survive using the net gun alone or plus a bear trap stopping some from shooting some from moving allowing me to slam the first 3 its very possible even without equipment I’ve managed to ground a team all in the same place using cover and my speed as an advantage

I like the predator but damn it is tough. When I try to cloak while inferred is active it’s hard to tell if I’m invisible or not. I wish I had friends to help me with it or possibly play with. Also is there a discord for this game? I want to meet other players and make more friends and possibly learn from them.

What I have learned is that if the fireteam decides to hunt you and not do objectives they lose anyhow if you are still alive. It wouldn't be necessary to kill them all but maybe still kill 1 or 3 to at least get more xp.
My first match as the Predator I managed to claim one skull, and take out two more with the self destruct. Not exactly a win per say, but I got the last laugh on the idiots who thought standing around and shooting my body after I activated the bomb was a smart idea.
Well it can be... They can shoot you after you activate it and they can deactivate the bomb. But it is very little window.
Please make a video showing the best Fireteam loadouts and weapons. No one online is showing the Marines. People end up playing as solder more than the Predator so why not show some tips on the Fireteam.

That’s very true the predator is extremely weak but that’s just your team or you personally as a predator only main ive dropped countless teams and only lost 3 games and I’m level 38 now it depends on the predator
@@moochyaldridge6205 I play with 3 other guys and we stay close together never run off and we never lose, we get downed a bit though.... as the predator by myself it depends I'm 44 and the best thing by far is the combi stick but I'm seeing full teams of supports now and they can wreck you in seconds
crazydude415 Theres countless ways to drop a team of 4 even communicating no one is using his stuff to the fullest bear traps and net guns are also very efficient if used correctly I’ve been in games with teams of 3 supports and an assault and I’ve not even had to use one healing item as I said it depends on the predator communication is key but communication can’t always trump skill
@@moochyaldridge6205 I don't think the net gun is very good players can break out of it as for traps I haven't used yet, I normally can get 3/4 players in a game other's I win with ease other's I get wasted in like 4 mins just due to them not playing the objective and watching the trees all game but in any game you just go in for melee is a risk

I found the problem I’ve been having. If you’re playing PS4 just turn off the cross play feature. Cheating MFers on PC.
Just had a match where second I was outside the base they were in I was spotted. Whole fireteam shooting at me while I’m in a tree cloaked a good distance away. No matter how far I ran through the trees or behind trees I stayed spotted.
They were hitting me from what felt like half a map away where I can’t even see them.
Playing against people on PS4 is fine and balanced now it feels. I win some I lose some whether as Predator or Fireteam.
But against these PC players it’s bull. Can almost guarantee they’re using an aimbot of some sort. They didn’t even kill any NPC’s really. Just waited for me to show up.
After running away far enough, I returned to try again, same exact thing. Spotted the second I was outside the base while they were inside a building waiting for me.
Great advice u always give very through information. Unlike your other TH-cam counter parts.

Human teams should have reduced stamina and have penalties for being hiddled together. It kills the purpose of a predator game.

I dont even use the trees tbh.. I just run around cloaked and caych them in cramped areas where they all cant shoot me right away.. Corners 1 or 2 ppl in a building etc.. And combistick them all.. Its so easy to wipe fireteams.. Anyone crying about the pred being weak just dont know how to play and suck at the game
That's because you use Combistick, you scrub. I bet you even run that extra melee damafe perk too, and play Berzerker. It's easy to kill with that set up. There's literally ZERO challenge. Go get good.

Unlike you who probably rushes in and expects easy kills because "im the predator i deserve easy wins" then complain about "unbalancing" when you get rekt😂 nice try tho kiddo

I was in this is my trick this is what happened to me I was in front of the whole tire fireteam but I was invisible crouching none of them noticed me so be ready in the emergency world fryer team members old soldiers or front of you don't move in crouch invisible and cloak until they'll all look away or go to different places and then that's your place to run and then after that go kill them split apart

People are starting to notice more and more that they can fuck up the predator very easily. They can spam ping you so cloak is useless. Most of the weapons are terrible and next to worthless. His health is TERRIBLE! You can kill him with 2 - 3 nicely aimed clips and that's by yourself. Don't get me started on when the fireteam stick together.
I mostly play fire team and even I can say that the double time perk is absolutely ridiculous. Why would running away and parkouring over and around ledges and stair cases be a variable strategy for avoiding a melee predator? So fucking stupid
The timing is very long because people didn’t buy this game early they buoyed it late
Predator is way to weak in this game. It's frustrating. You pretty much have to go all in with every attack, because killing just one or two leads to their resurrection in like 40 seconds. And to damage and flee doesn't work either, because the fireteam has way to much health items and can even find plenty on the map. There is no practical stealth game.
The waiting on this game just to get a match is a fuckn joke . Definitely not worth wasting 50 bucks.

The fact your mask can be knocked off is utter bullshit, and honestly the predator is underpowered for what they are, but this video did make me realise a few holes in my strategies.

A lot of predators are just being lame and just rushing with beserk and combi stick -_- the match ends too fast for both sides and it gets boring vsing the same types of players who just constantly do this
It's the only thing that really works. Most fireteams stick together and at least 1 person has a grenade launcher or a minigun.

I feel like more inspiration should be taken from the avp 2010 predator for this game. It obviously is already but the avp 2010 predator was actually fun to play in the juggernaut game mode for multiplayer. The hunting ground predator feels more like a chore to play as. Maybe adding a mode where you fight an AI fireteam with adjustable difficulty would be a good idea too as to get players more used to the learning curve because the current training mode is next to useless
The game is poorly designed. You're easily detectable in cloak and humans tend to run too much. They huddle too much because as we all know, the predator movies are a thing. This game is a waste of money
