    I spent 7 years looking for a 16 gauge when I turned 18. I’ve found 3 this past week and bought 2 of them both are single shots made before WW2. The 16 gauge is my favorite.

    Nice gun! My father gave me mine in the late 50s for Christmas. He gave me and my two brothers the same model 16ga stevens shot gun.He got them from Western Auto store. Mine also got stolen around 1987. I never was able to find another one. I hope you enjoy yours for a long time. Thanks for sharing yours.

    I was looking up this model because I just (as of 2pm today, Sunday May 2nd) finished my grandfather's old 94 16ga. Thank you!

      I made my first video about this shotgun 5 years ago,it's here on my channel & I talk about how I had to work summer jobs to buy my first one back in 1977 & how it ened up being stolen in 2000.I went all these years not seeing another one until I found this one in a pawn shop.It may not be the same exact one but it is the same exact model & gauge.If I remember correctly I found the info on Wikipedia.

      I can relate to how you feel.I'm sorry it was your brother.A druggie broke into my home and stole all my firearms back in 2000,including the Stevens 16 gauge I had bought new back in 1977.The police couldn't prove it was him but his life has been nothing but crap since.I do feel a sense of satisfaction from that.

      @garageguy879  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I gave $125 at a pawn shop,,I didn't argue or complain.It was exactly what I was looking for.It does depend on condition and how much you want it.And in my case,I wanted it because I had been looking for this for years.I would say a Model 94 in good conditioon today,,I would go $250 but that's just me.It had sentimental value to me.

    Just picked up an old JC Higgins 101.1 94C in 16 gauge. It's in great shape... Can't wait to shoot it, maybe take a pheasant with it.

    • @garageguy879
      @garageguy879  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's awesome.I've only seen one older 16 gauge for sale since I got this one 3 years ago.I would had got it but it felt like the trigger was going to snap off if I pulled it all the way so I passed and had too much internal rust.A decent classic 16 gauge is getting nearly impossible to find.

      @@saltcreekammoYou certainly got lucky.I can find old 12 & 20 gauge shotguns all day long around here,semi-auto,single shot,bolt action & pump but when it comes to a 16 gauge in decent or better condition,people aren't letting them go.

    • @garageguy879
      @garageguy879  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
