The whole coolant flowing too fast is rubbish, the radiator cools the same regardless of speed of water flow as the water transfers the heat to the ally really quickly and the airflow through the rad is unchanged with quicker/slower water. The components will be in contact with water 100% and the water molecules will be in the rad AND the component for less time but more frequently if you run no thermostat but you will run much worse not maintaining a constant temp as thermal expansion is designed into all the components of the engine and you want the tolerances to be minimal which is designed to be around operating temp (which is what, 88 degrees usually?)
that whining noise at around 14:30 sounds a lot like crank case pressure, its trying to suck more air in since you guys plumbed up the oil breather. my 86 does it every now and then, if you can install an oil catch can with abreather on it somewhere in that breather line it should go away.
Yeh we figured that out eventually! For engineering we can't vent to atmosphere so the Pcv is currently plumbed back into the intake before the throttle body, just like a factory ae86
Of course! The lil ke70 never came with a 4age, so here in the state of Victoria, we have to get an engineer to inspect the car to make sure the engine swap meets some pretty rigorous standards including upgrading my brakes to suit the engine, brake tests, emissions tests, pressure tests on my modified fuel tank etc Victoria has the most strict inspections!
@@GOTIME-CO Is that an expensive thing to do? Over here in germany to get an engine swap road legal it's super complicated and costs around 1000€ just for getting things inspected and paperworks changed etc.
