Shane Black got screwed all the good scenes got taken out. Like there are actually 4 more predators who come to help. There is no fucking Iron Man Predator Edition Armor at the end. A lot of other scenes were altered in the scripted. Hollywood basically turned his movie into their movie. So Shane decided to make the movie a joke. He’s not the first Director to do this.
Something I can definitely say in the way of praise for this movie is that the costume for Fugitive was awesome. And the guy they got to play him did the best he could with what he had.
I remember being so excited for the new Predator, he looked so cool and I’m sure if this was a Predator 2 style film with a Young blood trying to prove himself he would’ve been one of the best
The way the predator language popped up on the screen and then translated was really cool. Some of the violence was cool. While the CGI was bad, least the predators still resembled predators, as opposed to the Super Predator from Predators or the face of the new Feral predator from Prey. But other than those minor parts, the rest of this movie was horrendous.

Classic predators are most loved by fans not just because they're cool and strong but also they show respect to the true warriors. Directors tend to make new predators who think power is everything and kill originals like pathetic weaklings.

Wolf from Requiem did a much better job at "clean up" duty than Upgrade. He killed all witnesses, tried to remain hidden, and destroyed all evidence of Xenomorphs and Yautja on earth when he could. Upgrade seems like a clumsy idiot, literally kills the Fugitive Predator and doesn't take his body. Not to mention the zero attempts at being stealthy until towards the end of the film. He just didn't give a fuck. Even putting aside his mutations he's a terrible excuse of a hunter and a Predator.
All good points but that upgraded predator is more like an abomination to the yautja. I'm sure they think of him as a freak and he just operates on his own whims. I didnt see the movie so I am just going by speculations

Actually i read on something that arnie was suppose to be back, and the story was going to have the predator warning the humans about a big alien invation because he felt bad for them so the predators would come down while the humans would have the predator on their side and he would convice 2 others
I'm gonna fix this scene! 1. Don't kill the fugitive here. 2. Let them fight and have the Upgrade beat him. Even punch him in the face as he did and make it bleed, But there was no need to kill the Predator. I thinknit would've been better if the Uber Predator got distracted by the Police sirens and when it turned around, the Fugitive was gone. We wouldn't see the Fugitive again until the end fight. Instead of Casey Brackets character attacking the Uber Pred cloacked, it would've been great to have the Fugitive Pred attack and possible survive! That's one thing I would've changed along with many others!
One thing that always bugged me, that not that many people would mention, was the fact that the upgraded predator leaves without getting rid of the evidence. According to multiple instances, it's considered taboo for Yautja to leave any evidence of its races existence behind in order to prevent discovery. Unless this super predator was created by bad bloods, they've just jeopordized their entire existence by leaving the corpses of both the fugitive and hound predators behind.

The faction the upgrade belonged to intended to invade earth soon, so cover up was no longer a priority. Plus, the government already clearly knows about them.

If ever there was a franchise that needed to red con a movie or at least fix the lore it’s predator. The very notion of them collecting species to upgrade themselves just craps all over the lore.
I checked out the comics and predator's have some nice lore and lots more stuff to explore about them and the xenomorphs too have some good comics out there.Need better teams behind the movies tho
@@observingeye9579 I because Rex is everyone's favourite. Like when Rocky lost or if Darth Vader was beaten by Kylo Ren. We all know 'how' it should go down, but doesn't mean we like it. Perfect example, in Jurassic World (Spoilers) the Indomitable Rex should have beaten T Rex due to being designed to be better in every way. However, that epic final fight was epic because our old favourite won. With this film, classic Predator being beaten to a bloody pulp felt like a kick to the gut. At least in "Predators" he put up a fight!
Honestly a brilliant idea that would have saved this movie from being arguably the worst predators film, is if a predator, preferably the fugitive predator, had reluctantly joined forces with the humans during the middle of the movie to take out the super predator, sorta like how scar joined forces with Alexa Woods to take out the alien queen in avp. It could have obviously been interesting to see predators interact with people but also possibly tie it with the theme of Rory autism, how being different isn't bad and how his weakness doesn't define his strengths. Perhaps we could see the fugitive predator show a change of tactics how he acts towards the other characters or even a sorta redemption arc for the fugitive predator altogether.
I agree it's a much better predator movie compare to this 2018 & 2010 But Prey still not better than the Original though. Even Predator 2 is still better than Prey.
I really wanted this film to be the old pred being the underdog against the new predator. The existence of other pred subspecies and cultures who could not care less about honour is terrifying, and 2010’s predators did a brilliant job of selling that. I would have wanted a twist on the head like with Jurassic park, with the old villains becoming somewhat anti-heroes that you root for against the new villains. Shane Black’s decision was a big L for the franchise. So glad Prey redeemed the series.
I’ve always found Upgrade to be a ridiculous predator. I mean a genetically altered predator? It kind of breaks the Yautja lore, I’ve never heard of a clan that would go so far as to enhance their warriors for a hunt even if it’s to capture or kill a rogue
Still canon friendly considering there's bad blooded who use cyborg implants and other methods to gain an advantage in combat aside from the standard gear, which by the majority isn't considered honorable. Therefore they are targeted as breakers of the code, exhiles that are hunted down, chances are upgrade predator comes from a bad blooded clan that practices these questionable methods.This is nothing new when it comes to Yautja lore. I believe it was poorly recieved since there was no real context given about any of this outside the comics.
The predator that hunts the fugitive may also be an enforcer but upgraded. Enforcers hunt bad bloods although sloppy, it sorta confirmed it in my eyes that he was indeed an enforcer predator because he saw the police arriving to the scene and spat in their direction obviously out of disrespect to their types of enforcers lol.
That super predator took that rogue predators head and tossed it aside basically saying its not worthy of being a trophy. Proceeds to spit at the end. 😂

So this thing can toss around and kills Jungle Hunter Yautja (I think that’s a Jungle Hunter) in mere seconds, yet it gets tackled down and beaten by normal humans. Let’s not forget Yautjas are seen breaking down steel door and breaking parts of trees as well as damaging metal
Sad thing is that this wasn't supposed to happen in the original movie. The fugitive predator and another two predators that work for the military team up against the big predator and there was meant to be a awesome fight at the end with 3v1. And the cargo on the predator ship wasn't a stupid suit. It was mutated species that are very dangerous and supposed to wipe out the humans. This clip is In the released version which was reshoots. More than Half of the movie was reshoots sadly. Much prefer the original script and images we seen sadly we will never see it. So we will never know wether it's good or not
The 1st two Original Classic still remains the best today. Another almost good Predator movie was Prey but ending was stupid and lame. So hope they make a better one again someday with a great cast and great director.
The scene showed right measurements in terms of strength but the fugitive should've lasted a little longer presuming the fact that he had all the gear ready with him and got time to prepare for the encounter.but also see that the big boy was way taller and stronger.either way big boy would win inevitably but we would've get a lil longer fight .
Should’ve made it to the end of the film at least. Like Scar in AVP helping the human to take out the larger threat. But that film was better written with better characters

Ok why did the fugitive stop shooting after 1 shot? Later in the movie it's shown that the upgraded predator can be damaged by plasma shots, maybe it's just because im a big fan of the original predators but from what all they've been shown to do, it should've done more to the upgraded

@@tutt6909 its about skill and intelligence, and since Stone Heart is pretty damn close to Upgrade, yeah he could win by outsmarting him. Stone heart had vision modes in his eyes and was huge (not as big as Upgrade) and his durability to certain weapons was similar. Plus Scarface is part of the Dark Blade Clan: the most high tech Yautja Clan and most strongest (at least one of the strongest) Predator Clans ever. The Dark Blade Clan weaponry is (considered) the most powerful Clan weapons made, so it's not impossible for Scarface to win against Upgrade. After all, the humans use the shield to cut his leg off and blow him apart with ordinary frag grenades. So how is it not possible for Scarface to win since he's a long time veteran and the Hybrid Predator is not?😕 Not to metion, Scarface survived a planet full of hostel aliens for 100 years, and took out an entire nest of Xenomorphs single handedly. I don't think Upgrade would be the most challenging thing he'd face.🤘😎

The faction the upgrade belonged to intended to invade earth soon, so cover up was no longer a priority. Plus, the government already clearly knows about them.

If ever there was a franchise that needed to red con a movie or at least fix the lore it’s predator. The very notion of them collecting species to upgrade themselves just craps all over the lore.
I checked out the comics and predator's have some nice lore and lots more stuff to explore about them and the xenomorphs too have some good comics out there.Need better teams behind the movies tho

@@observingeye9579 I because Rex is everyone's favourite. Like when Rocky lost or if Darth Vader was beaten by Kylo Ren. We all know 'how' it should go down, but doesn't mean we like it.
Perfect example, in Jurassic World (Spoilers) the Indomitable Rex should have beaten T Rex due to being designed to be better in every way. However, that epic final fight was epic because our old favourite won.
With this film, classic Predator being beaten to a bloody pulp felt like a kick to the gut. At least in "Predators" he put up a fight!

Honestly a brilliant idea that would have saved this movie from being arguably the worst predators film, is if a predator, preferably the fugitive predator, had reluctantly joined forces with the humans during the middle of the movie to take out the super predator, sorta like how scar joined forces with Alexa Woods to take out the alien queen in avp.
It could have obviously been interesting to see predators interact with people but also possibly tie it with the theme of Rory autism, how being different isn't bad and how his weakness doesn't define his strengths. Perhaps we could see the fugitive predator show a change of tactics how he acts towards the other characters or even a sorta redemption arc for the fugitive predator altogether.
Hollywood doesn't know wtf they are doing anymore.
Whenever I see clips of this movie, I rejoice that I didn't pay to see it in theatres!

I agree it's a much better predator movie compare to this 2018 & 2010 But Prey still not better than the Original though. Even Predator 2 is still better than Prey.
I really wanted this film to be the old pred being the underdog against the new predator. The existence of other pred subspecies and cultures who could not care less about honour is terrifying, and 2010’s predators did a brilliant job of selling that. I would have wanted a twist on the head like with Jurassic park, with the old villains becoming somewhat anti-heroes that you root for against the new villains. Shane Black’s decision was a big L for the franchise. So glad Prey redeemed the series.
I’ve always found Upgrade to be a ridiculous predator. I mean a genetically altered predator? It kind of breaks the Yautja lore, I’ve never heard of a clan that would go so far as to enhance their warriors for a hunt even if it’s to capture or kill a rogue

Still canon friendly considering there's bad blooded who use cyborg implants and other methods to gain an advantage in combat aside from the standard gear, which by the majority isn't considered honorable. Therefore they are targeted as breakers of the code, exhiles that are hunted down, chances are upgrade predator comes from a bad blooded clan that practices these questionable methods.This is nothing new when it comes to Yautja lore. I believe it was poorly recieved since there was no real context given about any of this outside the comics.
The predator that hunts the fugitive may also be an enforcer but upgraded. Enforcers hunt bad bloods although sloppy, it sorta confirmed it in my eyes that he was indeed an enforcer predator because he saw the police arriving to the scene and spat in their direction obviously out of disrespect to their types of enforcers lol.
That super predator took that rogue predators head and tossed it aside basically saying its not worthy of being a trophy. Proceeds to spit at the end. 😂

Can I just point out how never in a million years would a predator EVER want to “upgrade” themselves, they are already almost like gods to most races if they made themselves stronger then they wouldn’t have any thrill in the hunts
They only made 1 and that was this one and plus other species evolves so them just not evolving would just let the other species catch up and eventually over take them there won't be no hunt if every other species is stronger then them

So this thing can toss around and kills Jungle Hunter Yautja (I think that’s a Jungle Hunter) in mere seconds, yet it gets tackled down and beaten by normal humans. Let’s not forget Yautjas are seen breaking down steel door and breaking parts of trees as well as damaging metal

Sad thing is that this wasn't supposed to happen in the original movie. The fugitive predator and another two predators that work for the military team up against the big predator and there was meant to be a awesome fight at the end with 3v1. And the cargo on the predator ship wasn't a stupid suit. It was mutated species that are very dangerous and supposed to wipe out the humans. This clip is In the released version which was reshoots. More than Half of the movie was reshoots sadly. Much prefer the original script and images we seen sadly we will never see it. So we will never know wether it's good or not

The 1st two Original Classic still remains the best today. Another almost good Predator movie was Prey but ending was stupid and lame. So hope they make a better one again someday with a great cast and great director.
The scene showed right measurements in terms of strength but the fugitive should've lasted a little longer presuming the fact that he had all the gear ready with him and got time to prepare for the encounter.but also see that the big boy was way taller and stronger.either way big boy would win inevitably but we would've get a lil longer fight .
Should’ve made it to the end of the film at least. Like Scar in AVP helping the human to take out the larger threat. But that film was better written with better characters

I was really pissed that the fugitive predator was killed off like that in this scene. Was hoping in the final fight against the upgrade, the fugitive would of teamed up with McKenna and the others to defeat it
Ok why did the fugitive stop shooting after 1 shot? Later in the movie it's shown that the upgraded predator can be damaged by plasma shots, maybe it's just because im a big fan of the original predators but from what all they've been shown to do, it should've done more to the upgraded

@@tutt6909 its about skill and intelligence, and since Stone Heart is pretty damn close to Upgrade, yeah he could win by outsmarting him. Stone heart had vision modes in his eyes and was huge (not as big as Upgrade) and his durability to certain weapons was similar. Plus Scarface is part of the Dark Blade Clan: the most high tech Yautja Clan and most strongest (at least one of the strongest) Predator Clans ever.
The Dark Blade Clan weaponry is (considered) the most powerful Clan weapons made, so it's not impossible for Scarface to win against Upgrade.
After all, the humans use the shield to cut his leg off and blow him apart with ordinary frag grenades.
So how is it not possible for Scarface to win since he's a long time veteran and the Hybrid Predator is not?😕
Not to metion, Scarface survived a planet full of hostel aliens for 100 years, and took out an entire nest of Xenomorphs single handedly.
I don't think Upgrade would be the most challenging thing he'd face.🤘😎
