- After 3 months of hard work transforming this disaster of a property, I'm ready to reveal it to you and hopefully share this special place! My plan is to use it as a wilderness retreat for women- a fun and funky get-away that focuses on health and wellness as well as outdoor skills and good food with good friends around a campfire :)

You are amazing! I am a 71 yo woman that loves watching you because you remind me so much of myself in my younger days. I dragged more brush, hauled firewood, stacked firewood shoveled dirt, hauled rocks, gardened, canned , kept bees, ran an archery store and worked a full time job. Unfortunately, it took its toll on me physically but I would not change a thing from my past. You asked on your web page if I am happy! I am now stuck in Florida (aka the elephant graveyard), can't relate to the women living here. They have no clue what hard work is and how rewarding it is.

Hope some of the retreats will be work oriented. The hard work of clearing the land, relating getting rid of "dead wood, rotten entangled vines," would be a wonderful way to help women restore damaged souls. Thanks for your inspiration.

Yay! Now we know what you’ve been up to these past few months. I’m off work for a few weeks after hand surgery and passing some of the time with TH-cams. You have no idea how excited I was when I saw the notification of yours! Love the bell tent, but really goes to show how strong you have to be to put one up by yourself. You must be so happy building this little dream campground!

I wish I had the property that I could actually could do these things. I'm a country girl and love camping out. Wooow seeing this feels like something sent from above! For the past few months I’ve been contemplating and envisioning a way to buy land and create experiences and adventures like this! Would LOVE to hear more about your plans and the demand you’ve seen. It’s really a dream of mine to buy land, save the forest from the forest industry and create places to enjoy it and reconnect to it ❤

What at first looked to be a lame teeppee ; ended up being a roomy, and very stylish house-tent , once you had it fully assembed, and pegged in. I like how you took a lame looking deer stand , and turned it into a stylish bird watching site, it's all so sublime Girl in the Woods! Whoop whoop! Not to forget to mention the hippy VW bus turned into a refreshment stand! So cool!
P.s. Mr. Big Foot needs to smile more! Yeah, I know him just does what he knows! Lol.

What a great Whipple Wilderness Camp you made. I loved it when you put your finger up and tested and determined you "WERE DONE" I had an old logger come to drop a big standing dead cedar which hung up. He told me he was leaving only to return with his 12 gauge shotgun. Two blasts of that beast and the reluctant hung-up tree surrendered and fell dead!

Awesome is not sufficient enough to describe your ideas and the work involved to make them a reality. For lack of a better term it will have to do. I can't believe you did all that work by yourself. You should recruit those who come to stay in order to help you. Learning what you know now would just be part of their experience. Be kind to yourself, also.

Brooke by clearing the property as you did, it will make for a healthier ground and a retreat for the wildlife to come in and bed as well especially as the winter gets bad. You have done such a beautiful job. I would plant some wild berries in that area as well as long as some mushrooms to really give your guest a place to forging.
I found your videos late last summer. I don't remember exactly which one I was first to watch. But it has been inspiring to watch you complete your first build and so many more since. I am 51 years old and long for freedom. I connect to many of your life experiences, goals, and inspirations. I was a crew leader for a Veterans Fire Corp in New Mexico, we became A fellers and got to participate in prescribes burns. I love that you were a wildland fire fighter! Your commitment to your family, your happiness, and God is extraordinary. Thank you for sharing so many aspects of your journey. Anyhoo, of all your videos that I've viewed, this one must be my favorite. You always show your viewers the struggle, not edit it out. The tent, the tree; they tested your patience and problem-solving, and you persevered. There is no other option. I want to be strong and learn new skills. It's not too late. With my recent purchase of raw land in southeastern Arizona...I look forward to figuring out how to develop it...on my own. I can honestly say, you might have had something to do with my mind set and my new goals in life. Thanks, Brooke.
