As a kraton enthusiast, i really enjoyed this build. I subbed because of these builds. I do similar builds, and ive gotten some good ideas from your vids. Great video!
On breaks like those, Shoo-Goo works AMAZING! I semi-cracked rear hub carrier on 1/8th scale truggy (Serpent 811te) Shoo-Goo held it together for about 6 months of medium-levels of bashing. Probably 3 or 4 outings with 2-3 packs each time out. Shoo-Goo has also held together torn tire treads on 4s Backflip LPs (used on same truggy) the tire was new & 1.5 inch section ripped off. Shoo-Goo'd entire section & dried.... it has worn down evenly as treads have. It is a bit unbalanced, but still usable & ultimately saved some money. Shoo-Goo boys & girls, get you a tube.
Yeah it's the CVDs that end up being the weak point when you put way too much power or too big of tires on there. I don't blame the platform in this case. It's far more power than it was ever designed for with tires that are far larger than stock.
You really do a great job with your videos and with Arrma trucks. Entertaining and educational and your editing is excellent for this type of hobby video.

A little tip to strengthen super glue is to add baking soda to it. It makes it significantly stronger. There is videos on here about it. Build came out great!! Well done! Just grabbed a valkarie but a grom is definitely next on my list

There has to be a way to get the clipless mounts to work, something off the Mojave, something off the Typhon, nothing off the NASCAR. You got me taking apart Groms now. Kenny!!!
I think you could get the typhon Mount to work without too much trouble. You would just need to create spacers to move them down about a half inch in the front and rear. It really wouldn't be that difficult I just didn't really think about it till I was finishing up the video.

They really wouldn't be much to make. They already make the granite grom which is basically a monster truck just like the emaxx. What exactly did you have in mind?
@ I was thinking, if it was possible I would love you to make a as close as possible scaled down e maxx brushless edition with dual shocks and that same body style of possible, since traxxas never made one I’ve tried to see if anyone ever made one and there Actually was a guy who made one out of 3d printed parts but i couldn’t get a hold of him unfortunately so I couldn’t get the download files for myself, from what I could see in the pictures though he used a mini e revo mostly for drivetrain parts then everything else was 3d printed
It sounds like an intriguing project but I can't really think of a good starting point. The Savage flux XS can run dual shocks and you could paint up a body for it to look like the emax body. That would probably be your easiest route. I'd love to be able to take on a project like that but I really wouldn't have the time I don't think.

@@DoRC Ya the rear one on mine was even worse a fit than the front. Just gonna leave all the stock ones on it. But if i do change my mind I'll the GPM ones. And great video by the way. Like you hope they make a Kraton Grom as well.
in your opnion what would be the most durbale rc for saketpark bashjing on concrete 10 ft in the air onto conrete thinking the slash 2wd its pretty indestrutible any thoughts?
The slash two wheel drive is decent but a pretty dated platform at this point. He probably want something four-wheel drive at a skatepark anyway. The new v6 Kraton is really good but to be honest if you're jumping 10 ft in the air at a skatepark nothing is going to survive.
Well hopefully you enjoyed what I made :-) I would love to see them do a first party one but for some reason they haven't. Maybe it's coming as a larger platform? That would be cool.
Very Nice ! but wasn't the car more stable if you put the arms from Granite Grom? I know they are not much longer, but I think they help with stability...
@Jamjsn I mention it at the end of the video. It's the rlaarlo 114th scale something or other. I don't really know what name it is but if you go on Amazon and just look for the one that looks like a Kraton you'll find it.
What non grom model do you think would be the best for them to implement. I think maybe Kraton or outcast? Although outcast might be too bouncy as a small car. Do you know if the badlands are bigger or smaller than the granite from wheels?
I think the Kraton would be the best option for them. We already have the granite so I don't think another one of those monster truck style cars would be best. I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen one yet. I can't find my original granite wheels to measure them but I'm almost positive the badlands are bigger.
@ you have a good point about the granite. I’m sure tough that they will release a Kraton grom, just hope it’s as soon as possible. Btw great video as always man :)
@t3floz Glad you enjoyed. I'm really hoping the delay is because they're coming out with something a little bit larger but I guess we'll just have to wait and see
@magnusstone Yeah I'd like to see the same basic design with a center differential larger front and rear diffs larger shafts etc. Basically everything just increased by maybe 20%.
Were gonna call all after market parts exb parts just because we are putting it on an arrma even though it says castle creation and some cheap after diff covers off ebay but hey there still exb brand lmao
Maybe so. I have used baking soda before but more as a filler than as a structural thing. I'm not entirely convinced it would have worked here because it's a pretty small surface area with a lot of shear force on it but could be worth a try :-)

Yeah I really didn't think it was going to work but I'd never tried the BSI 2000 glue before and figured I'd give it a shot before trashing it.
I had those same diff covers for my Typhon Grom and they weren't even close to fitting. Just returned them today.
The rear fits okay but the front definitely needs some work to make fit.
@@DoRC Ya the rear one on mine was even worse a fit than the front. Just gonna leave all the stock ones on it. But if i do change my mind I'll the GPM ones. And great video by the way. Like you hope they make a Kraton Grom as well.
Where did you buy your chassis from? I’m looking to buy one but they are like $25
I got mine from Jenny's RC on eBay. There are usually several options for new takeoffs on eBay around half price
in your opnion what would be the most durbale rc for saketpark bashjing on concrete 10 ft in the air onto conrete thinking the slash 2wd its pretty indestrutible any thoughts?
The slash two wheel drive is decent but a pretty dated platform at this point. He probably want something four-wheel drive at a skatepark anyway. The new v6 Kraton is really good but to be honest if you're jumping 10 ft in the air at a skatepark nothing is going to survive.
I gave you a thumbs but after you kindly reminded your viewers
Glad the reminder worked :-)
That came out good sucker rips 🤘
Yeah the first setup wasn't fantastic but with the pro lines it works really well.
You need to get nsdrc micro servos! With their micro servo saver, or the gpm/hot racing 25t servo saver
On a side note, I love the mini badlands tires. But man some mini backflip tires would be killer!
Yeah there are definitely better servos out there. This is just what was available on Amazon short notice.
You got my hopes up with that title. I dont understand why they wont do a Kraton, its probably their most popular car.
Well hopefully you enjoyed what I made :-) I would love to see them do a first party one but for some reason they haven't. Maybe it's coming as a larger platform? That would be cool.
Can you make a Limitless Grom please?
I already did an infraction. The limitless Grom is basically the Losi NASCAR just with a different body.
Very Nice ! but wasn't the car more stable if you put the arms from Granite Grom? I know they are not much longer, but I think they help with stability...
Granite and Typhon groms arms are the same length
@ sorry, and thx
@@make4all2000 no problem. At this time I don't believe there is a wider arm option unfortunately. I'd love to have one though :-)
What body is it?
@Jamjsn I mention it at the end of the video. It's the rlaarlo 114th scale something or other. I don't really know what name it is but if you go on Amazon and just look for the one that looks like a Kraton you'll find it.
Pretty cool!
Yeah it came out nice!
Nice that's pretty cool
Thanks!
Mini B or Mini T?
What specifically are you asking here?
Awesome video
Thanks!
Thanks :-)
I'm really hoping the delay is because they're coming out with something a little bit larger but I guess we'll just have to wait and see
@@DoRCI think larger hardware- diffs, shocks, would do a huge service even if similar in size. And a slipper or center diff
It's just a bit of fun. Ultimately we are all grown men playing with toy cars so I try to not take any of it too seriously:) thanks for watching!
Sir i just wanted to upgrade my servo, now I feel the need to Frankenstein my grom.... Thanks. Lol
And idk why but the clipping hurts my soul. Like... What if I'm wrong and clip the wrong thing.
Yeah cutting things up always hurts. It's fun to do though!
Jenny’s RC is the best, I’ve been getting some HB D819RS parts from them to upgrade my Vorza 3.5
Nice!
Try 3m panel bond … shit is like steel when it dries lol
Yeah panel bond is some strong stuff.
It is a good thing you made it An exb because kratons are usually more durable than their other companions that’s better like that
The Kraton is a tough truck especially these days
The shock tower would have been an easy fix if you used the baking soda and super glue trick
Maybe so. I have used baking soda before but more as a filler than as a structural thing. I'm not entirely convinced it would have worked here because it's a pretty small surface area with a lot of shear force on it but could be worth a try :-)
Diff grease?
This is the BLX version so they are fluid filled
