She has also taken large sums of money raised through digital begging and pretended financial problems only to give a big interview to the Guardian and reveal she has spent the lot on very expensive items she then threw away as she appears to have a spending addiction as well as her admitted alcoholism. Monroe knows nothing about poverty, claims to have had an absurd amount of jobs+ illnesses. went to a private rehab on more than one occasion, and perhaps crucially here isn't a trained cook, has zero experience of formal cookery, and has left a trail of very unhappy crowdfunders when she asked them to back her book but then after raising vastly more than anticipated did not even get the promised book out to the backers, leaving people to plead with her via social media or take legal action for a refund.
