Rasgulla Dahi bara oh God I am missing Odisha. Who can forget that heavenly taste. Worked there for Nearly 4 years. Missing Odisha.
I have tasted both Kolkata and Odisha rasgullas. I prefer to have rasgullas from Salepur. While staying at Cuttack and Kendrapara I had Rasgullas from Salepur and Pahala many times. In my opinion, Rasgulla from Salepur and Pahala are better than that of Kolkata.
It isn't expected from a Mukherjee to disrespect Kolkata rosogolla.....

I have tasted Jhilli in Odisha and it is by far the tastiest sweet I have ever come across till date. I have tasted almost all kinds of bengali and odia sweets but nothing compared to jhilli. Oh and I am a bengali by the way.
I believe rasgolla should never be stored in refrigerator. It loses it's softness after it. Just have as it is.

Banglar rasagola is a later modification to store them for longer hours. For your kind G.I registry office has already summoned W.Bengal government for submitting fake documents and information on Rasagulla.

These famous sweets are Pahal Rosagolla, Salepur Rosagolla, Kendrapada Rasabali, Nimapara chhenajhili and many more. Odias love to eat, so all the time confectioners do experiments how better they can do on this to attract their customers. This is my suggestion go and have it.
