This guy is an absolute wonder, and the chemistry with Joyce is palpable, don't you think? Nor should we fail to note the magnificent, sensitive work of the accompanist at the piano. Just a stellar lesson and a joy to watch.
He is incredible and Joyce’s face while listening to him says so. I was in tears several times during this lesson. I absolutely love his joy. His expressions are so genuine when he sings. Some beautiful beautiful moments during this class. Looking forward to following his musical journey. He is special. ♥️🎶
Hi, I really love Mein Sehnen to. What I was wondering is, would she be able to help me with this song, since I am preparing to sing this song for an upcoming audition
Great class, excellent baritone - a baritenor! I keep hearing an almost tenor timbre in his voice. Looking forward to DiDonato working with University of Toronto Faculty of Music students this coming week.
DiDonato is an amazing teacher and human being. But why doesn't she correct his pronunciation of "Sehnen"? He is singing it Zee-nen and it should be Zay-nen. Unless in opera it doesn't matter.
Do you really believe a German singer doesn't know how to correctly pronounce the German verb sehnen? (you're wrong here, he's pronouncing sehnen correctly).
Germán Enrique Alcántara isn't German, he's Argentinian. Germán is his first name. Yes, the singing is beautiful but the repeated mispronunciation is grating.
@@Beadle_Bamford If you want to attend "Writing stupid comments" masterclass there are still vacant seats. I just want to inform you that the masterclass is strongly against nasal operatic singing.
@@Beadle_Bamford Nah, I don't think that is the solution. During opera school I was the one that carried the best in the hall. My technical problems are rather not being able to relax and keep a good posture throughout all different kinds of colours/volumes. It's a question of preparation, mind set and enough time to practice. Having kids don't help either =) Thanks for the good wishes anyhow!
Why is this opera not heard more often? Such a talented baritone and brilliant comments from Joyce.

Beside all the positive comments for the baritone we should honor the great playing of the pianist! Well done! 👍

I really loved watching this masterclass. Beautiful voice. Didonato worked her usual magic to make him even better!!

Yesssss Shannon. Beautiful playing; beautiful singing.
Beautiful baritone
This is just incredible! What she already does with his beautiful voice is just amazing 😍
Germán is really good, I wish I had his voice and sensibility
Joyce is an absolute genius. What a gift to music! Oh yeah, great voice and piano too 😊
She's not a genius. She's teaching him bad habits
感動!
She is such an amazing teacher. I hope to work her with her one day
Wow just so beautiful
BRAVO
she opened my eyes
Excellent.
beautiful
I want someone to look at me the way German looks at Joyce.

Masterclass in "How to sing nasal"
Still more interesting than your masterclass in „Writing stupid comments“.

@@perhegg Well, after checking your videos a bit of nasality could help you quite a lot with your technical issues :) Good luck!
