really not that great relative to the rich tapestry of music. his particular talent does not lie in his musical skill, but rather a very true and honest expression of a quirky and authentic bloke.
im not sure if our interpretations of the word legendary are quite the same. for his guitar solo to be 'legendary' it would need to be worthy of making him a legend which unfortunately it is not.
I love the risks he takes in the second segment of his solo. He’s well outside his zone, and he finds some stuff that sounds exciting! It’s inspiring to a fearful soloist like me!

I'd like to thank Jerry Garcia for stopping by and uh...slappin' it down on this track. Just wouldn't be the same without him. Thank you Jerry, the ghost of Jerry. RIP Jerry, we all love you, God bless.
I don't understand why CBS or the labels pull this kind of shit. Jon Batiste and his band played an amazing version of Dang with Anderson .Paak and Mac Miller. And one day, poof, it was scrubbed off the internet, like it never existed. Their just disrespecting the artists at this point.
@@dlzimbruceleritate Damn man. There's a Mac Miller profile that talks about how committed he was to that performance and how involved he was in the mixing of the music for the clip. Can't believe it's not on TH-cam.
@@ignaciocuello3929 that's not what he said. He said his band isnt usually so tight and musically educated, which is absolutely true. Joe, for instance, is not as good as homie with the cowboy hat playing the drums in this song lol

If I knew how to play the piano like that I’d go up to one of those outdoor pianos in parks n’ whatnot with a tuxedo with long coattail. But before I sat down to play I would flick my coattails back like Batman. Then I would gently touch the piano and say “shhhhh baby, be gentle you wild beast” and proceed to rock out so hard that a huge group of people gather in astonishment. Oh, who’s that? Mr. president? You want me to be your personal master of pianos? Sorry, sir. I’m just a lowly farmhand with a pension for sweet jazz. Then I would join a wandering circus, hopping from train to train. Wandering the countryside. Persisting off of nothing but sticks of butter I pillage from restaurants, and sweet soul music baby
Man I love how Batiste steps all over Mac with that crazy walk up on keys to let him know he's ending the tune lol. I wouldn't know what to do either. What a master.

Leon Soares he had a sax player and a trumpet player last time I saw him live like three weeks ago
