Whatever works for anyone, if it puts your mind at ease, do it. Some people have tried (blind) taste testing if they can tell the difference and many found it didn't really matter.

Do you stir during the bloom phase or only after you add all the water? Also how much in the initial dose?

I stir during bloom and after, I did a 30g dose!

How do you get it to not drip through before you’re ready to press? Mine goes so fast, I put 3 filters in to slow it down but it still drips fast

I started using the inverted method for this reason just got to be careful. But if you prefer to stick with the original way then put the plunger in after stirring to create a vacuum and it’ll minimize drip through

You could buy the fellow prismo attachment as well. It's supposed to give you espresso like crema, but the best thing about it is that it prevents leaking, comes with a reusable filter, and increases the capacity a smidge. The inverted method is fine as well, but it reduces capacity a bit and you have to be careful turning it because there's a chance the plunger could fall out and all your hot water and grinds will get everywhere. You may also be grinding too coarse if it's really leaking that bad.

Weak coffee- if you can see daylight through it , its just coloured water , viva expresso .
