Hello everyone this is an updated review of the Barcelo we have also done the review in two parts.
This part one covers the main lower level where a lot of the sea view rooms are situated and a look at the Royal Level.

Heading to the Royal Level (first time in the hotel) on Sunday 28th Jan 2024, I'll drop a comment on here with how we find it, really looking forward to it (the weather forecast looks perfect which is always a bonus.

I stayed at the royal level last june and going back this june. Personally, i can't tell the difference between the rooms themselves and mine was actually in the main building, not in the separate area. The restaurants are similar but quieter for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is a massive bonus as it is a la carte and very good quality. As a solo traveller who usually prefers adult only places the royal level pool is ideal, although not adult only, its quieter and there seemed to be much more sunbed availability.

Hi Harriet thank you for your comment and sharing your experience of the Royal Level. We have never stayed in that part as i said in the video but next time we may give it a try, A La Carte for lunch sounds good to me

What is Royal level how do I get it just all inclusive ?

Hi no it’s more than just all inclusive it’s an exclusive part of the hotel 👍

Is it worth it for the royal. I'm going this year. I've booked all inclusive but after booking I found I you have more access to the hotel if you spend more (on the royal) will it ruin my experience if I just stayed with all inclusive?

Hi Dylan good question 👍 I would not say it would ruin your holiday as the hotel is fantastic however upgrading to the royal level as you rightly say does give you certain perks. It’s not so much more access to the hotel but it does make sure you are on the lower sea view side of the hotel ( if you have not booked a sea view room) which is the most popular side, this is the main reason guests book the royal level, you also have access to the royal level pool and a separate restaurant but you can use any pool or restaurant you wish in the whole of the hotel and more branded drinks are available to you also. I am not sure about the extra cost for the royal level but if you’re thinking about paying it, it would only add to your experience of a wonderful hotel hope this helps I would also advise you to contact the hotel and book the upgrade through them as they will be able to tell you about the availability and it will be cheaper to upgrade direct 👍

Yes if you haven’t booked a sea view room or definitely try to get a sea view room upgrade 👍
