To be fair, even if her story was exactly as she told it that would be pretty easy to explain as "drunk logic". Not like getting in a suitcase makes sense in any situation
Right? And part way through the interrogation she says a few times 'You guys are killing me here." - Really Sarah? Like you killed him?? She doesn't appreciate at all how inappropriate it is to say.
@@catasrophieGrrl exactly!!!! I had to rewind the part about three of four times. I said she can't be serious ?! She honestly doesn't see the irony in it or the inappropriateness in her comment. She is so damn arrogant that she doesn't see anything wrong with ninety percent of what she is saying. It is disgusting.
Can we just show some appreciation for her ex husband. The fact that he is there for her when he doesn't have to be is amazing. She should have felt very lucky. She wasn't there for her son for most of his life and now she really isn't going to be there for him. Yet, her ex is still there for her. There is something wrong with her if she isn't grateful to him for that .
When she said "I have to live with what I did... that's punishment enough," she was saying that she has to live with the fact that she had to pull him out of the suitcase and give CPR to a dead person, NOT that she has to live with the fact that she killed him. If you listen closely, that is clear.
I think that this was a confession in a way. Basically she is saying that her hurt feelings is all the punishment she needs. Too much to bear so to say Edit... I wanted to add that The Criminal Lawyer says exactly the same thing later in the video 😊
It is an odd thing to say. It sounds like she is trying to put the idea in their heads, that maybe she has suffered enough, let's drop the whole thing - now let me go.
I feel like these detectives weren't even listening to her. She clearly stated the wine was to blame, yet they glossed over it and made no attempt to apprehend this violent and unpredictable beverage.
Ironic how Sarah didn’t want to be put in a holding cell because of it’s size and she might have a panic attack, yet her boyfriend died due to suffocation from being in a confined space 😳WOW
"...either I flee, or I go upstairs and try to go to sleep." "I DIDN'T INTENTIONALLY GO TO SLEEP, my plan was NOT to go to sleep. I hit the bed, but I was waiting for Jorge, my plan was NOT to go to sleep." This is the most contradictory person I've ever hear.
Don't forget SB told investigator's she went to bed with her 2 dog's and it was warm tells me she remembered everything and managed to call Brian at 11:46 pm after she recorded Jorge's slow death. I also believe she beat him, stomped on him after she heave hoed him down a flight of stairs causing a crashing sound and shaking the shared apartment wall. That was around 11 pm then at 11:12 the first recording started lasting 2 minutes 3 seconds then 11 minutes later Sarah recorded a second video of the suitcase with Jorge Jr inside at 11:23 where you can see the suitcase was now moved and flipped right side up. There were brown flip flops seen next to the suitcase and then moved. SB also a snapped a photo of the suitcase as well. Remember Jorge Jr was only 5' 4" 120.
Almost killed you?? Well how do you think poor Sarahs boyfriend feels? He was killed by that line....that a zipper makes up when it's zipped closed on a suitcase . 😅
Bruce I appreciate your foul language. I feel like it humanizes you and shifts the focus away from "successful, smart lawyer talking about law" to "funny, clever uncle talking about law." I love the content and hope you keep rocking.
@SorcererOdd: I don't even think it's foul language anymore. It's in the vernacular with all the rest of the language we use every day, and the meanings have changed. If I say, "I gotta go, I've got shit to do," doesn't mean I'm doing something with actual shit; it just means "stuff."
The BEST line has got to be when Sarah is crying that she will miss the dead guy. Then the detective says "And his children will miss him too." So what does Sarah say? Are you trying to make things worse?". I almost fell off my chair when she said that.
@@torydz Heh, nice one! 😁 Bbw, I also get the impression that she isn't lying in this interview, she's confabulating; filling in the gaps brought about by dissociation with what her grandiosity tells her must be the truth as she (the god-like entity) made it up
@@FreeBrunoPowroznik That's true. When you hear her talk, she truly doesn't sound "deranged", she sounds as though she truly believes her behavior is normal and her actions are totally understandable, and damn those dumb investigators for not getting it!
My favorite line was when she told the detective she would have done anything for him and the detective responded with "well, you wouldn't let him out of the suitcase"
33:48 the irony that she wanted to stop watching because she can’t stop throwing up about this and the video is “killing her”… and that she tried for a mistrial when this same video made his mother cry in front of the jury.
Two sayings come to mind here: "If you know you're guilty, ask for a lawyer. If you know you're innocent, ask for a lawyer." And: "Life is tough. It's even tougher when you're stupid."
Wise words from my dad when he was a drill sergeant and a private going through AIT said he did crack, "private, you have the right to remain silent and I highly recommend you use it" Edit to add, the soldier was just very, very drunk 😂
@@thekingofkingsrp I'm sure it's easier, but you have more opportunities as someone who is aware. It's probably more difficult for you, but you get the better rewards. Ignorance is bliss, but then you probably shouldn't live in bliss 24/7
Sarah saying “but it was an accident” and not understanding why she’s being arrested legitimately reminds me of when I was like four or five telling my mum “but I said sorry” after getting punished and that really bothers me.
Itsjustmaddisenyoupeasant I think it is unforgivable that Sarah hasn't once said she was sorry, not to his family or in general. What kind of person is acquainted with your children, parents, entire family and go on like she's done nothing to Jorge. As if it is Jorge's fault he couldn't get out of the suitcase. I wish I could hate her for what she did and the type of person ahe is, but I wouldn't be any better than she is. I will say I'm not a fan of her.
@@TellTheTruth07041 yeah, that bothered me too. That and the fact that she keeps trying to make herself look better and making him look bad knowing he can't defend himself. Sarah disgusts me.
Funny how she was so concerned for herself having a panic attack because she was confined to a cell. I imagine her boyfriend had the world's worst panic attack when she confined him to a damn suitcase so small the he couldn't even draw a full breath. By comparison, a jail cell is very spacious.
I’m legit convinced, based on her calling her ex husband over that morning to the scene of the murder….the thought crossed her mind to frame him in some way. Thank goodness he ended up not entering the apartment passed the threshold and called the police.
I'd be inclined to agree with this if she wasn't so stinking dumb lol. I don't think she could come up with a plausible chain of events if she had a decade to do it.
I never thought abt that I always wondered wtf was she planning when she called him like . Was she expecting him to help her cover it up or something but seeing how he was on the police cam he very clearly wouldn’t of been down for that but she was clearly abusive n probably thought she could manipulate her way into help but now what if that really was her plan . To try to push blame on him because if he went in and even touched the body who knows how she would’ve turned that . N with the ex husband being the one to call the police I think that’s why she was so panic when they came because she wasn’t trying to call them at all she probably would’ve tried to “my bf is missing “ her way outta this but he stopped all that by calling
I felt so bad for poor Jorge...but I have to admit that it didn't stop me from laughing SO loud and hard when Bruce said that line that it startled my BF!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Yeah I was just laughing at the choice of words he used. Y’all are so right! Definitely accessible in prison. Regrettably I did some time myself, there’s not only alcoholics but also addicts too. Crazy. Let’s hope im never dumb enough to need an attorney again but if I should ever….I know just who to call. 🤣🙌
I’ve seen this interrogation before and I didn’t hear one of the best lines this time. Sarah says, adamantly, “It was a good day!” And the guy in the red shirt says “I’d hate to see what a bad day looks like.” 😂😂😂
During the 911 call she said, 'I put him in the suitcase'.....we were playing hide and seek. It was HIS suitcase. The thought that he was really leaving, got his suitcase and she knocked him out and put him in the suitcase to punish him breaks my heart. She's really something!
This reminds me of working in an airport years back and a guy nearly suffocated to death in a box. The "supervisor" of a company that X-Ray's the bags, thought it would be hilarious if he got into a box, the lads taped it up and threw him onto the conveyorbelts. They did this and thought it wasn't funny enough, so put the box onto the back of a flat bed truck and drove him around the airport, but at this point the guy was having trouble breathing and started pleading to be let out. The drove the box to another conveyor belt and bigger x-ray machine and put it onto it. I wasn't there but at this point, the guy was meant to be in serious panic mode until all went quiet and finally they opened the box. I think it was someone who happened to come upon the scene, saw what was going on and realised something bad was about to happen. The supervisor in the box was completely out but not dead. Had to be admitted to hospital and police investigated it. All got fired!
@@Woodman-Spare-that-tree definitely but I think in this case it would be the least of his worries, also id be surprised if someone the stupid would survive long enough to develop cancer in 30 years. Edit: even if the dose was high enough
I have no sympathy for her, but: I think they were drunk and got in to an argument upstairs. She pushed him down the stairs. In a drunken panic that he’d pound on her when he came to, she got a suitcase and rolled him into it. She then took the opportunity to dish some physical and mental revenge on him. During which she filmed her tormenting him. She then went upstairs and passed out in bed drunkenly thinking he’d learn a lesson after a night in a suitcase. He was dead in the morning. Her narcissism took over instead of shutting up and letting a lawyer sell manslaughter. She cooked herself.
@k.chriscaldwell4141 I doubt she could stuff him in there though. He had to get in there willingly and held his legs and arms in .... she pushed him down the stairs....
The way she talks about doing a puzzle, looking at his papers from class, painting, and playing hide and seek, it sounds like a day a parent would have with their three year old.😆
So funny and also true, I think she just made up things that she thought sounded innocent and sweet, so things a mom would do..? Haha she’s such an idiot
Addicts...esp. long term user of drugs/alcohol stop developing emotionally and even regress. She has the emotional ability of a teenager and the magical thinking of a child.
@RancorousSeawhat's the absolute mental thing is how and why the fk did he even get in, who would let someone zip them up in a suitcase , pair of nutters.
Sarah says "You clearly don't know who I am." she says she is an excellent mother and excels at everything! Yet didn't work for 2 years or have custody of her son when she was supposed to. She had a nickname at the apartment complex "Drunkey the Bear".
Torturous slow death. That poor man. I know they were cray cray together and both have records assaulting each other. So what will happen. She's nuts and cruel. Hope she's going to the big house soon. Smh. His parents and family hate her before this horror.
The way she describes her day with George was crazy, he crashed his bike in the hallway, he ran into the wall(he’s notorious for running into walls), they played games and hide and seek at 4am. Ironic how childish her relationship with George seems even tho 1 of the first things her baby daddy says is “it’s supposed to be her day with the kids she’s always bad about this,” obviously she was more busy raising her 42 year old boyfriend.
Seriously the way she tells her story sounds so stupid if you really think about what she’s saying. The way she tells this story it sounds like he’s special needs or something but he probably isn’t, she’s probably either trying to make him look bad or she’s actually so drunk/stupid to realize how crazy her story is.
lol I have to say your raw gut reaction to Sara was absolutely refreshing! Most lawyers aren’t straight forward like you and I incredibly love how you don’t care how it comes out, you say it like it is! Well done!❤
Stop, lol, has she really? Edit: just got to the end of the video, hah! Sounds to me like she’s refusing to tell her attorney the truth so s/he can work with her and probably also refusing any type of negotiations for pleas. Two of the dumbest things you can do in this situation.
The video she took of him begging her to let him out was so heartbreaking. What a way to die I can't imagine what he was going through. She knew exactly what she was doing
She planned it. The amount of detail that she went into in explaining why the suitcase was out of the closet when she was not even asked, tells the whole story. Her alibi? I got drunk and fell asleep. This was premeditated.
I bet the panic attack from being in a small holding cell is NOTHING compared to the excruciating panic attack he must have had as he slowly suffocated while begging for her to let him out. This woman is UNBELIEVABLY cruel & narcissistic. She'll probably plead not guilty for confessing under duress because she was so thirsty & had only provided her with 5 glasses of water. 😂😅
@Susan Holbrook I agree. Sarah should have to feel exactly what Jorge felt as he was dying in that suitcase. The fear, pain, anxiety etc. Life isn't quite that awful in prison bc she still has her breath, that seem to good for her. That type of punishment isn't good enough or the right type of punishment for someone that buried another person alive. Sarah really should be tortured hearing that video all day, everyday and never be allowed to see Lukas no matter his age. Not that she would really care. The punishment should be so severe that it would deter others from committing the same sort of crime.
@@TellTheTruth07041 I liked that description of "burying someone alive" although I hate the image + emotions it brings to mind about that man's last minutes of his existence.
@Real Melissa That to me is what she actually did. She just didn't put the dirt on top of the suitcase, but Jorge went through he'll just like someone that was buried alive.
I love your sense of humor. I’ve seen most of these interrogations dozens of times, but your dialogue makes it feel like it’s the first time watching them again.
She’s legit insane. You don’t put someone in a suitcase. The fact that she’s a mother and drinks to the point of killing someone is repulsive. Thank God the dad is there. This arrest saved that child’s life!
I don't know if she is insane, but she is definitely a selfish immature alcoholic psychopathic killer. Hopefully she goes to AA in prison. With luck, by the time she gets released, she will have 25 years of sobriety. Forget 90 in 90. She needs 9,000 in 9,000... for starters.
Indeed. If she's that impulsive and immature, along with having no empathy, I agree, it could have easily been her child at any point! Thank God their child was firmly taken out of her mother's hands, and for a lifetime until they are grown (her child/children). A bvllet was definitely dodged.
You don’t need to apologize for your language Bruce. It’s your channel! The swearing doesn’t bother me at all……in fact, it shows us you are human and shows your great sense of humor! Keep doing what you are doing! ❤
He literally said people tell him they don't let it and that’s why he apologized. What you think is irrelevant because he’s apologizing to them, not to you.
@@shiina29 I mean you can have an opinion on someone else apologizing to someone else though? Like if some dude told his girlfriend not to talk to guys because he didn't like it and then she did and apologized for it you'd definitely be in the right if you told her not to apologize for it. Him not liking it is his problem not hers. Them not liking cussing is THEIR problem not his. If he was being a bigot or throwing around slurs then yeah an apology is in order but just cussing is completely harmless so they can mind their business and just move on. Its so weird to defend people guilting Bruce into catering to their sensibilities for no real reason but have a problem with someone saying hey man don't apologize for being you you're fine

Straight up, hide and seek and groundies are both underrated af games to play as adults. Been a while since my friends and I did either (we were in our late teens/early 20s so we were all more limber and had free time lol) and you totally have to have the right venue (I recommend a large church or other irregular building for hide and seek, and a large playground at night for groundies) ... But seriously, those games are a blast on a different level once you add adult intelligence/adult goofballery to the mix. Adults should play IRL-games like these more often, instead of only acting like it's socially acceptable to play sports/other more competitive games with decisive winners, or video games et cetera. Play is good for humans.
I’m guessing her plan was to leave him in there to “punish” him overnight and then let him out the next day - not realizing he would suffocate and die. Then woke up to his dead body and didn’t know what to do and came up with the hide and seek story. What a terrible person.
Or she was gonna go back down and let him out after awhile and actually fell asleep. Regardless it was stupid and I feel for Jorge. I couldn't imagine dying in such a way.
I enjoy that too. I never realized it until now because this guy is so straitlaced looking but when he uses f++,k. and apologizes it makes him so cool 😎
If you watch his full conversation with the police (I can't remember what channel, maybe law and crime) he admitted that she was abusive during the relationship. That she is an angry drunk. And that even now (meaning the time he gave the statement) she bullied him for money.

The same thing happened to a guy that worked for MI6 (British intelligence). He left his job and then a few days later he was found zipped up in a dufflebag in his bathroom... police ruled it to be a self-inflicted accident despite being unable to recreate it themselves 🤷🏻♂️
I think she genuinely thought she was just punishing him and didn't realize it was *obviously* a scenario he could die in. She was psychopathic and cruel--but in her mind not a murderer because ahe didn't intend to murder him, just make him suffer. All her lies are to just try to downplay her actions that resulted in his death.

He’s uses it so infrequently it definitely adds to its strength. Especially when he reacts to the super drunk girl who killed 2 pedestrians and the Cop finally runs out of patience. Bruce’s reactions were priceless on that video.
This whole thing from her story sounds like a play-date between two 7 year olds. I can perfectly imagine Mom arriving with her minivan to pick up Little Sarah asking "Hey how was the sleepover? What did you two do?" Lil Sarah: "It was good mommy! We played outside and George crashed his bike in the hallway. He got lots of booboos and owies and cried but he got happy again and started running into walls. We decided to paint and do arts and crafts and had some of George's mommy's yucky grape juice. We got real dizzy and played hide and seek. I tagged Georgie then put him in his mommys suitcase, played racecar driver with the suitcase *VROOMVROOM* then took a nappy nap. I think George isnt feeling too good today 😢😢😢"
@@emo_penguin420 What's crazy is how THIS is her story, yet the way she explains everything she just has such a bad, hostile tone of voice that just seems so full of poison. It makes it even more comical but it makes sense. A woman so full of poison can't fathom what a healthy relationship looks like and thus her best imagination is the equivalent of a play date between two children. I imagine the true average night for these two was full of shouting and abuse and pure vitriol.

That first responder cop did an excellent job of preserving the crime scene while eliciting answers from everyone. She is the hero of this investigation.
She would’ve been a MUCH better interrogator than these two goofs. Hopefully she gets a promotion with the JCS shoutout and the attention this case has garnered.
I 100% agree. Sarah will always respond better to someone like the first cop rather than the female detective. She made it too obvious she hated Sarah.
@Guillermo Alto Yes, that is so true. If it were not for that deputy sheriff, Sarah would have gotten her hands on that phone and erased the video. Bc that is what she was trying to do anyway and lets say " it all backfired on me now". She was right about that.
JCS hit it out of the park on this one. "That's not how you play hide and seek!" Absolutely love it. Thank you for the criminal lawyer side of this. The other channels haven't done well.
It is called well deserved karma, right! Don't you think Sarah got what she deserved by being caught at her own vicious game of hide- go- seek? The real karma hasn't taken place as of yet we are still in part 1 of the saga, part 2 is coming soon on a channel near you!!! Sarah's mouth will lead the way the stay tuned!
Clients usually do that under the belief that either (1) they have to, (2) if they don’t, the cops will just take it with or without a warrant, or (3) that if they try to look honest and volunteer it, the cops either won’t bother looking through it (or at least won’t look at the “recently deleted” folder or do forensic data recovery), or will cut them some slack because they were up front. They also often don’t realize that even if they dropped their phone in a river or burned it to ashes, the police can still get information from the cloud and from cell tower location data.
@BlueMarlin81 I realize you weren't speaking to me, however I wanted to say that info is very interesting and informative bc I for one didn't realize there were other ways or places they could retrieve info from. I know about the cloud, but not the tower.
A year later and a ton more evidence, we've discovered she is _not_ an abuse victim, _Jorge_ was. A man who sits huddled on the floor saying "yes ma'am" as she records him and berates him, thats _not_ the abuser. I was barley able to watch it all the way to the end. RIP Jorge Dear men: if you're being attacked, defend yourself. If they've got two legs and opposable thumbs, deck them. If that attacker is a woman, ignore Bruce and do what you got to to do to keep yourself safe.
Her lawyer's closing statement that "it's never okay for a man to lay hands on a woman, even if she is hitting him" lost him any chance that the DV victim on the jury would have sided with him. DV victims know that it is ALWAYS okay to defend yourself and fight back, if you're able to.
@smugfrogman4791 Oh my god that had me _fuming._ Anyone can hit anyone who's attacking them, full stop. And Owens is pushing a rhetoric that is _probably_ why Jorge didnt call the police
I love the sarcasm in the announcer's voice when he said the line, "She is currently working with her seventh attorney. Six have already filed motions to get the fuck out of there" .
My take is she didn’t plan to kill him, she probably wanted to have him suffer, but the moment she had him in the briefcase and he said he can’t breathe, she decided to let him die, allowing her sadism and rage to overcome any empathy she may have had
she has only been charged with murder 2, so I think that's what the prosecution believes too. or they think that's easier to convict her of, rather than trying to prove premeditation.
@@beautifulrose8619I'd have to agree. I think even second degree murder is a bit of a stretch. Based on the evidence in the video, I'd probably convict on third degree murder, but second degree, I'm not really convinced. Frankly, she strikes me more as stupid than seizing an opportunity.
I have been reading about her case online, and reportedly, she is now being represented by her SEVENTH attorney, with six attorneys citing "irreconcilable differences." It sounds as if she is impossible to work with, and it's my guess, that she refuses to accept any responsibility at all.
The other six probably advised she plead guilty to manslaughter with domestic abuse as a mitigating factor whereas she probably wants to plead not guilty
I of course watched the police interrogation video, as well as the on-scene stuff long before the trial. She told the cops that she 'fell' asleep (rather than 'went' to sleep), because that makes it seem like it's something that happened to her, rather than something that she intended. And what stood out to me was that she told the cops that she was basically waiting on Jorge to come back up at any time to go to bed, and that she basically 'fell' asleep while waiting on him to come up the stairs. Flash ahead to the trial, and she now claims that she was jabbing Jorge's fingers when he was trying to get out of the suitcase. Ignoring the fact that suffocating people will sacrifice broken bones for air... If she just battered Jorge with that bat, then there's simply no way she would have gone upstairs and 'fell' asleep. If she would have fled the scene out the front or back doors, and called the cops....maybe I would believe her more. But she went up stairs, further trapping herself. I think it's pretty obvious from her testimony and interrogations that Jorge was dead before she turned her back on him and went up those stairs to bed.
The neighbour heard the suitcase fall down the stairs, bump bump bump. That is why he had dislocated shoulder bruises etc so she probably didn’t lay a hand on him, she threw it downstairs instead , now of course her 8th lawyer has left her!!!’
I think she 'tossed him down the stairs' and then filmed the first video. She thought it was funny, clearly. I think after laughing about it, it hit her, "if he gets out, he'll kill me!" I think he actually started to unzip the suitcase and that's when she went apesh¡t on him, kicking him in the head multiple times, flipping the suitcase after zipping it back up so he wouldn't have the same leverage he had w it the other way up, ensuring he couldn't get out. I could fully believe she was black-out-drunk but that's no defense for this reprehens!
@@AliceNsWonderland very probably true, but I suspect she whacked him unconscious, PUT him in the suitcase (if you listen to her initial 911 call she says "I put him in a suitcase" ) then rolled him down the stairs. Events very likely unfold just as you describe..

Bruce I love your sense of wit. Yes we all know you are not denying the seriousness of the crime, so your sense of humor makes your podcast even more interesting to watch.
In the ER, we use humor to cope and relieve stress, without ever losing sight of the seriousness of whatever we're doing. In this one instance, we're stabilizing a construction worker, who fell from a scaffold and was impaled on a small-diameter pipe sticking out of the ground. He came in with it protruding from his belly button. He was almost ready to go to Surgery, when Dr. Rambeaux said, "Did you ever stop to think that your belly button used to be your mouth?" And we all lost it 😂😂😂
Her choice of words are perfect to convict her! All.of them. Revisiting this now tells me she was NEVER abused by this man. She a psycho and manipulated a codependent man that let her do this to him. It's horrific to women that are abused. Just Jodi Arias and Amber Heard. Johnny Depp is lucky to be alive. Seeing her attitude and her attitude with EIGHT ATTORNEYS, EIGHT tells me she was never abused. She was the abuser!
My sister-in-law, she's 44, she's been a full blown alcoholic for 6-7 years. She drinks fireball all day everyday. She's in acute liver failure. Her personality has done a 1-80. She's lost all common sense, & rationale. I can't even stand talking to her for 5 minutes. Alcohol is....imo...the worst addiction.
It's really sad and heartbreaking to watch people slowly kill themselves. My sister's friends mom just died of liver failure due to alcohol, and it didn't even slow my sister down. She's been an alcoholic since 14 and she's 45 now. 😢
One thing JCS cut out from the ex husband's statement was that Sarah was abusive to him as well and that he could take it without fighting back but Georgie could not.
Yeah, reactive abuse I understand but you can tell from the brief clips that she is the actual abuser. Her tone and everything else is not a new act, it’s clear she’s tortured him before in other ways.
One of the scariest moments of my life. When i was a kid i crawled into a sleeping bag and managed to zip it up the whole way. For whatever reason this one would completely close. Somehow i couldn't find the zipper to let myself out. It got horrifically hot, completely dark and in my panic was getting hard to breathe. I don't remember if i found the zipper or if someone let me out. All i remember is the shear terror of it. I can empathize with how this guy must have felt.
I remember watching that interrogation and thinking “how has she not asked for legal counsel?” “How does she think she’s going to get away with this?” I’m glad you covered this!
@@MickeyMouse-jx7bq You can tell she honestly believes that whether or not it was _iNtEnTiOnAl_ is the only thing that matters. It is amazing to me how MANY people walk into an interrogation without an attorney. What could they POSSIBLY be thinking when they can be provided with a lawyer and they just waive their rights? Innocent or guilty one NEVER talks to the police without an attorney! My late husband was a criminal defense lawyer and the cases he hated the most were where his client had submitted to an interrogation. To my way of thinking I am glad so many are ignorant so they can be caught.
Yeah…my condolences to the jail staff that have to deal with her. Yeah very much so an issue with the dumbest people. The smartest people almost always understand that they don't really know shit and the dumbest people aren't smart enough to understand how little they know.
Her bold face denial while she’s being shown video footage of herself committing the crime is wild. Imagine having an argument with Sarah about anything
I have sadly dated people like that and it’s as horrible as you might think. If you want to learn more, I made some videos on my channel and I’m working on new ones to better explain it now that I’m in a better place.
@n00b There is definetly a spectrum of abusive actions people will find normal and some people are way worse than others. I feel sorry for anyone with parents on this spectrum. Sending you love and I am so glad she isn't this bad! I can't imagine having a parent this bad, life would just be impossible! She makes the lower level people seem annoying I can't imagine real life with her...
Bruce literally nailed everything that was used against her in trial! *He's outstanding and point on in these **_reaction_** videos!* Love this guy! UPDATE: GUILTY
I love it too,I very much enjoy watching Mr rivers react if I could afford him if I ever got into trouble I'd put my life in his hands and feel like he would know if I was guilty n I appreciate him
Hopefully, because of how young he was, he’ll be kept away from her. Due to my own experiences, letting Sarah get away with everything and keeping custody of that child would allow her to have another powerless victim to manipulate.
@Over Carter - HOW can you say that about Sarah, The Outstanding Mother To Her Son?? I’m just glad Hell ain’t half full. Of course, Satan could always send her back! I saw her at one of her prettial whatever’s & she’s now sporting short black hair that makes her look like some badass female gangsta’. Probably one of the reasons the first 7 lawyers stampeded!😵💫😵😧😱😫😜😳
@@ayrtoncar You're kidding, right? The dad isn't a good parent either. He'd hand his kid over to her when she's a drunken mess, and when there was DV going on at her place, he simped for her constantly-that's why she called HIM after killing Jorge, and even after Jorge died and the ex-husband was talking to the cop, he made a light-hearted, jokey comment about how would be explain this to his nine year old. That kid doesn't stand a chance with parents like his.
I must say I love Bruce Rivers! He does such a great job breaking down these cases. They are both very funny and educational. I absolutely love watching his reaction videos .I'm hooked. Great job, Bruce and Michael! My new favorite channel.

Nah bro, George Torrez Jr. was my homie, we go way back, all the way to Mexico. He was notorious for running into walls! "George the Forge!" we would say, except it would sound better, because we said it Mexican. Long before Jr. made his way to Florida his reputation preceded him, people would recognize him in the street - yo is that the mngga who be finna' runnuh' inna' walls?! - they would say. But he lost it all in a deadly game of Russian Hide-and-Seek. You have to show the bag the respect it deserves. Don't hate the playa hate the game fr fr no cap.
I had a flatmate who'd get outta bed half asleep (or w/a blood sugar issue - he did have diabetes) & walk into doors so hard he'd stumble backwards. Tho like the other commentator noted it was doors not walls. So it could happen, theoretically, but she's just full of shite.
Curiously, one thing that has not been brought out by anyone is that Sarah was drinking AND drugging. Remember how she asked for her anxiety meds after the cuffs were placed on her at the station??? Some of those anxiety meds come with strict warnings not to consume alcohol. The side effects can be fatal. They can cause blackouts from which there is no memory recall at all; this could explain why she did not remember taking the videos. Actually, this could be an honest and decent defense for her.
I'm so glad you pointed out how she shot herself in the foot by trying to say they were getting along just fine and had a great day. To me, the defense of "he was abusive, I couldn't take it anymore" was so obvious! Clearly she thought she'd just get away scott free!
Yes! Exactly! I also don’t know why she didn’t tell them that they were wasted! Being extremely drunk might have helped to explain why he willingly got into a suitcase and why she was able to go to sleep with him still in there. Just say that she passed out on the couch instead of going upstairs into bed. Her alcoholic urge to always downplay how drunk you were actually hurt her here! Of course, nothing could have saved her after the videos were discovered, but still….
She probably thought she could say ‘oh my god it was an accident HE decided to get in the suitcase and then didn’t get himself out when he KNEW I went upstairs and fell asleep!’ And then they wouldn’t even bother investigating further unless she asked for more information
Ah I was so hoping Bruce would take a look at this. He didn't disappoint. I know this is dark and serious. But by God Bruce's sardonic sense of humour is fantastic. Just the looks he shoots towards his camera as Sara Boone rambles are priceless. For people who haven't heard the interview with Sara's neighbors: Yean, Jorge has a lot of bumps because she put him in the suitcase upstairs, where she says the case WAS, and then pushed him, inside the case, down the stairs. The neighbors heard it, and said it made their whole house shake.
Woowwwwww. Yikes. That sounds absolutely horrific. Oh my god. I had no idea. Holy shit. Ugh his poor daughter and family. I can’t even imagine the terror he went through.
It's different than me not cursing around my mother and aunts and sisters. I curse like a sailor when I'm alone or with friends. But not among the folks I mentioned. No one is FORCED to watch this. I'm not FORCED to see those relatives but I want to and that's what they want (no cursing) so I don't. This isn't channel 7 at 8pm. It's the internet and all kids should be monitored anyway
How can two drunk people complete a 1000 piece puzzle in a couple of hours. She's lying, there was no painting, puzzles, dancing with the dog. Glad she was found guilty.
One question I wish someone had asked Sarah is "How do you play Hide-n-Seek by hiding the person that you're supposed to find?"
That was literally my first question when I originally heard this case!
Such a wasted opportunity
To be fair, even if her story was exactly as she told it that would be pretty easy to explain as "drunk logic". Not like getting in a suitcase makes sense in any situation
eventually that will be the main question that all other questions are asked around
they dont do that they indict and ask questions later
I remember her saying "I cant stay in a small jail cell. I'm claustrophobic". I wonder how her husband felt in the suitcase.
Right? And part way through the interrogation she says a few times 'You guys are killing me here." - Really Sarah? Like you killed him?? She doesn't appreciate at all how inappropriate it is to say.
Poetic Justice.
Maybe the husband is claustrophiliac. 😂
She’s not getting arrested, they’re just playing hide and seek but instead of a suitcase it’s prison. They‘ll come find her in thirty years or so.

Too much to bear so to say
Edit...
I wanted to add that The Criminal Lawyer says exactly the same thing later in the video 😊
It is an odd thing to say. It sounds like she is trying to put the idea in their heads, that maybe she has suffered enough, let's drop the whole thing - now let me go.
Sarah has no clue she's done anything wrong.

That's exactly what Im pretty sure she was saying as well as not being able to sleep and throwing up

The BEST line has got to be when Sarah is crying that she will miss the dead guy. Then the detective says "And his children will miss him too." So what does Sarah say?

NOT INTENTIONAL!!!

I mean drunk drivers don't intend to kill people either, but that happens.
Even if it wasn't intentional (it was), it's at the very least negligent homicide. Not that Sarah grasps how she's responsible for her own negligence.
@@TellTheTruth07041 yeah, that bothered me too. That and the fact that she keeps trying to make herself look better and making him look bad knowing he can't defend himself. Sarah disgusts me.
As her trial helped to show - Jorge was never the evil DV aggressor, she was the batterer who wound up killing him because he could never walk away.
The irony of her being trapped in a place she can't leave regardless of her pleas is a beautiful thing.
Funny how she was so concerned for herself having a panic attack because she was confined to a cell. I imagine her boyfriend had the world's worst panic attack when she confined him to a damn suitcase so small the he couldn't even draw a full breath. By comparison, a jail cell is very spacious.

The level of irony in this case is thick. In the suit case too.
Oh my like that really just opened my eyes up to a whole different possibility like wth

I think they were drunk and got in to an argument upstairs.

Then some Karen talks to the comedian after the show being offend on behalf of the "disabled person" when the disabled person is not the least bit offended and thought the joke was on point and great.

He was tripping over him being in the suitcase, in the beginning, too. Lol.

This was so wild. Don’t you hate when you accidentally zip someone up in a suitcase, film it, fall asleep, then claim it was unintentional and unfair?
And help them get into their hiding spot to play hide and seek 😂
The same thing happened to a guy that worked for MI6 (British intelligence). He left his job and then a few days later he was found zipped up in a dufflebag in his bathroom... police ruled it to be a self-inflicted accident despite being unable to recreate it themselves 🤷🏻♂️
I think she genuinely thought she was just punishing him and didn't realize it was *obviously* a scenario he could die in. She was psychopathic and cruel--but in her mind not a murderer because ahe didn't intend to murder him, just make him suffer.

I like commentary version
She's now on lawyer number 9 !!!
The way she slapped her head and said "I fell asleep" is the same way I explain why I'm late to work. Totally solid death reaction
The last statement from JCS "7 lawyers have already NOPED the fk out of there" Had me.

I think she 'tossed him down the stairs' and then filmed the first video. She thought it was funny, clearly.
I think after laughing about it, it hit her, "if he gets out, he'll kill me!"
I think he actually started to unzip the suitcase and that's when she went apesh¡t on him, kicking him in the head multiple times, flipping the suitcase after zipping it back up so he wouldn't have the same leverage he had w it the other way up, ensuring he couldn't get out.
I could fully believe she was black-out-drunk but that's no defense for this reprehens!

Yes!
This is her current defense . . .
She probably thought she could say ‘oh my god it was an accident HE decided to get in the suitcase and then didn’t get himself out when he KNEW I went upstairs and fell asleep!’ And then they wouldn’t even bother investigating further unless she asked for more information

God, I forgot she knocked him down the stairs. I can't even imagine how that must have felt. :(
Well said! I feel the same! He is wonderful!🎉😂❤

Whoa didn’t know about the neighbour’s account.
I actually love it when he swears, makes him seem more like a human, rather than a pretentious ass lawyer.
I do not even have the words to reply to your high level of intelligence. Damn, you are smart!
@@justanotherguy469 okay that made me laugh so hard 😂 roasted in the nicest way
It's different than me not cursing around my mother and aunts and sisters.
Fuck yeah!
@@markmike7933 The fuck are you talking about man? No one asked for your life story 💀
I watched this probably 6 times on JCS, one of my favorite interrogations. I love even more watching Bruce react!!!
Pulling the guilt card on the officers is so ridiculous.😮 I have the feeling that she was the boss in that relationship. Not George.
How can two drunk people complete a 1000 piece puzzle in a couple of hours. She's lying, there was no painting, puzzles, dancing with the dog. Glad she was found guilty.
Oh yeah my thoughts exactly!!! While getting intoxicated? Please 🙄
