Wonderful collection! This period for Hanna Barbera was so post-modern and magical. Hearing that music (and the music on your other Hanna Barbera video) reminded me of how mysterious those early HB cartoons were. They were almost completely silent with that odd, sometimes morose music that fascinated the heck out of me as a kid. What a great memory!

      Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed H-B for the very same reasons you mentioned.
The limited animation of was greatly enhanced by wonderful music cues from
Capitol Hi-Q, EMI Photoplay, Sam Fox, and later, the great Hoyt Curtin.

I miss the old days, when these cartoons from H-B ended with a Screen Gems logo (whether it's the Torch Lady 1958-1963, The dancing sticks, 1963-1965, or the "S From Hell", 1965-1966., and 1971-1974 for H-B cartoons like "Yogi's Gang", "The Pebbles & Bam Bam Show", "The Flintstone Comedy Hour", "Goober & The Ghost Chasers (which featured The Partridge Family), and "Jeannie." The last H-B /Columbia connection was "The Partridge Family 2200 A.D.", which closed with the Columbia Television Productions "CTP Pretzel" logos. A good collection of original sketches hot off the H-B drawing boards.

@@WindowsGG 56-57 years old. Many reruns still had the logos intact throughout the 60's and into the 1970's,if the tv stations chose to show the closing credits.

@@WindowsGG While I don't have any personal (film) excerpts of these old logos, I do have a few on old VHS tapes and DVD discs. They do show up on them sometimes, if not all of the time. It just depends if Sony hasn't tampered with the logos by unnecessary plastering jobs, or if Ted Turner/ Warner Brothers hasn't covered them up themselves after the Time/Warner buyout of H-B studios. Some old H-B /Screen Gems Clips as well as entire film canisters can still be located at E-Bay and other auction places for a considerable sum. One old "Flintstones" episode formerly owned by an independent TV station was once auctioned by E-Bay complete with an original 1960's Screen Gems film canister with the "S From Hell" emblem printed on the plastic container. I don't remember what episode it was, though. They did not mention it.

The track's actual title is "8-5 Take 3" It was used in the first Hokey Wolf cartoon, 'Tricks and Treats' (1961) and also in The Flintstones second season.
