Turks had a penchant for impaling the heads of conquered peoples, so Vlad took it a step further and impaled their captured fellow soldiers live on stakes and left them in the path of the invaders so they would know what would become of them. Vlad's kingdom was much better off for his actions. Just a fun bit of history on the man

Alucard was originally a father he had chikdren so this wasnt a surprise shit i knew deep down he was really trying to protect Seras but she had to grow much more and now shes equivalent to him in strength and power so he had somewhat fatherly love towards her and that of a lover that he cares for, after all her ass belongs to him dont think for second he wont have her either oh he will peeps of his own accord that is but of course I know Pip will be a stubborn asshole and i know he'll show up then steal Seras away and have her ass in heaven besides hes a part of her he aint entirely excluded other than that this was the best part of all the ages and yrs in between.
