Wow, Jodi, you're lucky you didn't get a concussion too! I had a bad fall the end of January; I lost my balance, hit the wall with my head and proceeded to fall down on the table beneath me and the lamp on the table! My upper thigh hit the big metal brick power charger box and I knew I'd really done it to myself then! It became a massive trauma hematoma; it swelled up so much my husband wanted me to go to the hospital, but I didn't. It bruised something fierce; all around & the inner thigh area too. I'm a side sleeper, but I couldn't sleep on my side for 5 months; I have just been able to lay on it the last couple of weeks. I still have a little congealed blood in a ball under the skin, but nothing like it was. I still have some neuropathy pain, so I guess I will have to live w/the nerve damage. I'm just glad I didn't need major surgery from the hematoma. And I was taking my mom out of the shower the other day (she lives with us, she is 91 and has dementia) and she fell and I fell with her, right..on..the..hematoma! But luckily I didn't hit it against metal this time and it is OK. And Mom was fine. I think she is doing better than I am healthwise! I hope you continue to improve. Prayers for you as always 🙏
I had a story just like yours! A few years ago, i was a few days before a back surgery, in so much pain, could barely stand or walk, even with crutches. My husband was in Illinois for 3 days for a family thing. I was standing next to an armchair, lost my balance, fell against a patio door, the crutches and a guitar case were on top of me, & the armchair turned over on top of everything else & pinned me down. My phone was about 10 feet away on the bed, the doors downstairs were locked, and i just pictured being found 3 days later. Luckily i was only bruised, and did the same as you, moved inch by inch till i got free. Took about 40 min . Im so glad youre ok from your ordeal! It gave new meaning to those Help, ive fallen and i cant get up commercials! ❤
Greetings Jodi! I'm so sorry to hear about your fall! My son gave me an Alexa for the same reason. I had a fall in the kitchen away from my phone and I was alone. So he has it programmed to call him even though we're not in the same state so he can call 911 for me. I tend to fall a lot. Feel better soon and I will be praying for you! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Shannon Doherty had cancer for around ten years if I remember correctly, she was diagnosed in 2015 the year after me, she was truly incredible and so so strong. For me she'll always be Prue from Charmed. Rest in peace Shannon, you were a true warrior. Poor you Jodi! I'm so glad you're slowly recovering from your fall, take care sending you warm hugs, love and prayers xxxx

Jodi, that was a terrible fall!! Glad you're OK. One thing you need to be cautious of is when you have a bad fall like that is a head injury. I've heard too many sad stories about head injuries. You sure are a warrior!!! God has your back!!!!"Good to see you! Hugs and ❤

Hi where you first diagnosed year? How long did they give you ? As your stage 4
Blessings to you Jodi, you are long time MBC (metastatic breast cancer) survivor over 15 years right? But Shannen Doherty only lived 4 years after her stage 4/MBC diagnosis in 2020. Her initial diagnosis was in 2015. She initially had hormone positive breast cancer, but after aggressive treatments, her cancer switched to a more TNBC-like subtype as she discussed on her podcast "Let's Be Clear." Some people have cancer that only gets smarter after cancer treatments. It is really scary. Hers only seemd to continue to get more and more aggressive with her treatments. She turned down Tamoxifen initally as she was trying to have a child sadly and may have lost time fighting the beast that is cancer while trying to save her relationship and have a child. Cancer is a thief. She had been fighting cancer less than a decade and MBC less than 4 years. So sad, she was too young. 53 is too young. RIP SD. It's really sad. Thank you for talking about it. We are all seeing hte headline and htose of us living with htis disease are always saddened to hear when one of us has lost the battle as they say. I cried too. We need better treatments for MBC. And we need them now.

I am all alone,and I have POTS,it is scary I had to call 911. Luckily God has blessed me with a neighbor I just found, and now I don't feel so alone. It was just Jesus and I. I can tell you,my Faith is stronger than ever. I finally got a shower today and washed my hair. God touched my body last night. I am thankful for your transparency and your courage. You're an inspiration to me. ❤❤

Jodi, I feel your pain! I was also on Zometa, it really messed up my jaw. I have ONJ. My mouth is always sore. Last year I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis, which has completely changed my life. I can hardly walk and the pain is unbearable. All from the meds I have been taking for cancer. I also felt like you did when Shannon died.
I know how it feels to fall backwards, I fell backwards over one of those parking blocks at the vacuuming section of a carwash on to the blacktop, all the vacuum hose unwound at one time. The end result was a broken shoulder blade, the head of the humerus, my elbow and two vertebrae in my spine. It was definitely painful! I am also 71 yrs old and have stage 4 lung cancer.
When I’m home alone I wear one of those crossbody phone cases, just in case. ❤

You are walking, talking, miracle of God. Your beautiful inside and out. I did some shopping therapy myself. I was a bad girl. Lol. I have Dystonia, migraines. But God is touching my body. I'm standing in Faith. My conditions impact my everyday life,I am fighting to get my life back. Quality over quantity. I have to have my coffee too. I had to cut it out,I broke down t I Dat and had a cup. I love your coffee station.
