Salam Dr Imran, I was hoping you were not stopping at book 2 and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing your beautiful series Mashallah! Your the best!
Ya Dr Imran, it is so nice to hear and see from you again, Alhamdulillah. I was just thinking how long it has been since Book 2 🤩👍🏽😀. Thank you ever so much.
Thank you Dr. Imran Alawiye. You are doi g a GREAT work. Now I am completely interested in learning this fantastic language. Only book 1 to 3 come with CD. How can I get CDs to others book? Thank you for the explanation!
Dear Mr. Imran Hamza Alawiye, thank you so much for your excellent teaching. I think I noticed in this session that there are only six different forms of the adjective, the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd person is the same isn´t it, so we only have to learn the six forms (masculine and feminine, singular, dual and plural)? Is this a general pattern with adjectives?
Thank you for your question. In the nominative (subject) case, your observation regarding adjectives is correct as far as humans are concerned. However, there are other rules governing the agreement of adjectives, as well as broken plural forms of adjectives, but these more advanced grammar rules would be covered later. I may try to dedicate a stand-alone video to this topic at some point, God willing.
Asalamu alaykum Ya Ustadh, may Allah bless you and preserve you, ameen. I am so grateful to you for these video lessons from which my children and I benefit greatly. We enjoy working through your books lesson by lesson and we find your videos really help boost our understanding. Inshaa'Allah we hope to work through the whole series of Gateway to Arabic. May Allah place barakah in your time and enable you to continue teaching us, ameen. I am currently designing an interactive notebook to use with my children based on Gateway to Arabic Book 2. I was wondering if it would be possible to contact you to ask your permission to make the file into a PDF to upload onto my website that hosts free educational resources. And if you agree to this, would you also consider reviewing the document to check for errors or to recommend any changes. BarakAllahu feek.
Jazakallahu Khairan :) when you were reading out the dialogue on page 2 I noticed you said the endings of some words and not others. How do I know when to read the case endings of words and when not to?
Hi ! I am Egyptian In Arabic language Every letter in the word even if it is at the end of it you should pronounce it ..💗 But sometimes ( ي ) is pronounced like ( ا ) at the end of the word and this is not a rule
Sir i watch your youtube channel please add some word at the ending of every video for developing our vocabulary . And sir i have a problem in finding the consecutive lectures. Please do something for it MA ASSALAMA FEE AMANILLAH
Dear Dr. Imran, Salam Alekum. I first want to tell you how much I am enjoying your course on-line. I have purchased all of the books and diligently follow the lectures and exercises. I have hit a bump in the confusion of the Nominative and Accusative Cases but I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you this. Insha'allah I'm sure I will grasp it. However, is there a place on your site where I can see the answers to the Book 3 Exercises? Allah'mak, Dr. Jeff Gabbay
I wrote the words down on sheets of paper that I carry with me all the time. I read these words everytime I get the chance (on the bus etc..). I try to incorporate the words in phrases in my mind because It is easier to learn them in some sort of context. I m still learning the broken plural words from the previous book.
@marzet70 , what I find hard about the vocabulary are the nouns because I am not 100% sure if it is masculine or feminine. I have to think how to construct my sentence in my head. I am 100% confident in knowing A computer is masculine and A bike is feminine so constructing a sentence with those words are simple ... it's the newer vocabulary that make it difficult. The way for me to remember the vocabulary is practice the words with attached pronouns and detached pronouns. "My computer, her computer" and even with some combined words such as "my big computer, his small computer" He has provided us with the template in series 2. It is basic and that is what we need.
Wa alaykumus-salaam warahmatullah wabarakaatuh Br Olusegun, I am pleased to inform you that our products are available in Kano and may be purchased from Alhaji Shehu T. how can we say : these are MY two brothers or MY two sisters ? Or these two brothers are mine or - these two sisters are mine ? Thanks again, God bless you.
Assalamualaikum ya Ustaaz, I live in Ireland. How can I buy all your books? I find them very interesting and informative. Amazon doesn't have the service from the UK to Ireland.
I'm only interested in Ana and duals. Why? Because the rest of pronouns are gendered, and thus they are not inclusive. I wouldn't like to call an agender person anta, nor anti. Instead, I'll use antuma. As you Doctor said, duals are gender neutral, and that's wonderful.
Nice too see the first "book 3" video. Let's do this
