@@Sax913 learn as much as you can. Never stop learning. Find a mentor and find a way to learn that your find enjoyable. For me, it’s audio books and podcasts. Reflect on every sale you miss/make and every call. Analyze what you do wrong and right. Don’t be afraid to tell prospects the truth, assume the close whenever you can, and always make one more call :)
Jeb Blount at 6:01 you say you made 73 dials and got through to 19 people?? That is simply astounding in today's age of call display units. If I'm understanding correctly your pick-up rate was 26%. And then you made 2 sales the same day with a sales cycle of under 8 hours assuming you were calling 9-5. What were you selling that day? Not saying I don't believe you but in my field and product those stats are amazing.
Yeah this is pretty incredible to see. Today I have no issue doing cold calling because 99% of prospects simply do not answer the phone. Something a lot of people forget is that Jeb is selling to other sales people - of course they answer the phone! Depending on your target market its highly possible the contacts are simply tapped out from millions of phone calls and emails. I see it all the time.
