That was my thought after this match. I should have at least tried for a few takedowns to try and take top position. Unfortunately, i suck at take downs at the moment :)
Disagree. With a size discrepancy like that, you can't put yourself on the bottom of a sprawl and (probably) getting your back taken. It's a tough sweep, but a tougher takedown. You had a nice lasso setup early where he exposed himself to a triangle with a grip switch and inversion. Good guard work overall.
@@nickmavrick8562 yeah. I sometimes go for a fake guard pull > ankle pick, foot sweep or snapdown. For sure not shooting on someone with 80 + lbs on me.
Relax dude. They’re white belts. They haven’t even developed decent top pressure yet. It’s stupid to go for a submission when you haven’t even established control of your opponent first. Neither of them were never in a good spot to attack in the first place.
Great example of a white belt match up. Learn and grow! Awesome.
the guy on the other mat won 30-0 😳
Is it mixed? Looked like a girl.
It does look interesting to learn but I’m more of a boxer so I have no idea what’s happening 😂
Would like to see a rematch in no gi.
"SUB ONLY" on the ground... "Winner by points"... Good job, man. I thought you defended great for the situation.
Thank you!
U could have done a triangle or at least a sweep tho
the chinise woman destroy that fella at the back !
⚠️Triangle was incoming ⚠️
Great fight. If the fight was submission only, I believe the outcome would have been the opposite
Maybe shouldnt have took guard so early with that fighter

Some people’s game plan is to literally get points for side control or mount and hold you there for the duration of the match smh.
