I love appsheet. My entire company is on workspace and now we can have apps that communicate between departments and capture data. From there we go to data studio to make functional dashboards to visualize the data. Good stuff thank you for this!
Google Workspace, my workspace, the AppSheet for smooth roaming through the internet.
Beautiful, practice and agile
Thanks
The next video in this series, "Using multiple tables in AppSheet", is available at: th-cam.com/video/tFFFKHlI-q0/w-d-xo.html.
Enjoy!
Can an appsheet be used to say, create a user in google workspace?
Very useful..
how can you conect google contacts in the workspace to appsheet??
Does it not work on mobile? I did the same things the video did, but using my phone, and it just gave me a blank screen and a Calander...
Apologies! While the generated apps are mobile friendly, the actual development environment is (currently) designed for a traditional laptop/desktop screen.
But how is this different from a Google form
But if I want to create a commercial app/site where people can create accounts on the app/site and then see data/database records specific to them... AppSheet can't do it in a commercially viable sense, because each user then has to pay $5 per month for the privilege of simply being a member of the app. Appsheet has ZERO commercial value.
It's like an App with a Sheet
I'm shocked....that Google has its own channels on TH-cam with low subscribers and less view's...
That's right, when they could have made the viewing numbers up anyway.

So basically Appsheet is nothing more than a database app creating cloud software allowing you to create an Android app that allows any app user to edit, add, and remove records from a database which is originally created on a Google sheet. There are a lot of database concepts in this video. If you don't explain all the database concepts, it is hard for laymen to understand what is going on. For database experts, they don't need this app cause they are already using platform independent languages like Java for writing their database apps. They don't store their data base in the form of a spreadsheet. LOL
1 - the concepts explained are not that complex for a non-technical background user. I believe anyone who is familiar with MS Excel or Google Sheets would be fine except the formula part which would require checking out the documentations.
2 - for database experts, as you said yes they normally store their data in a database, but Appsheet is also able to connect with databases as his backend not only Google Sheets.
3 - The main objective of such no code platforms is to enable business users to develop their own pixel perfect applications without knowing HTML, JS, CSS or writing a single line of code. Think about any organization with its IT department that keeps on receiving requests from business users to develop a specific application or adding a module to an already developed application, you will find that usually the IT department is overloaded and turns into a bottleneck in addition to the fact that no one understands the business better the business user himself, so what if you could give the business user the power to turn his idea and requirements into an app without referring to the IT department ?
For what it costs, avoid using this for your business apps, as Google may kill it at anytime too as it did with App Maker.
This guy gets it!
