Yes we do. Do it all the time and we love doing it. Sometimes I do it to help me get through an unknown passage. The light can be a distraction when you only need to feel things. My wife and I purchased our first home, late 2014. I bought a small bird feeder, filling it up about once a week during bird season. It was neat to see the birds show up. It was a nice, inexpensive and safe hobby. Building a solar power set up in my home was also an inexpensive, and safe hobby.
Those both sound wonderful. I have a bird feeder and the hummingbirds come by in spring. There's one hummingbird that has been coming by my house for a decade. Any recommendations for other good caving TH-cam channels. Yours is the best crazy how hard it is to find anything even descent compared to yours. Can’t get enough caving thanks
I'm sure there are some but our channel is unique in that we show good caves with good video and try to keep a storyline. There's an offshoot of our Channel called CRAVING CAVING. His videos are similar to ours as is his caving, and he's getting things started with a lot of videos on his channel. Derek Bristol is a famous caver and his videos are extraordinary but not showing the thrilling adventure side. He is about 10K subs. The adventure twins have some caving videos... they go on a lot of adventures and it's pretty fast-paced but I'm not sure if they're video quality is as high. Otherwise I don't know because I don't watch videos.
I think I get it. After watching a bunch of your videos, I feel like I want to give this a go. The anxiety of getting wedged underground John Jones style is there, but I see the sense of adventure, challenge and also fulfillment when overcoming adversity...
Another great video! Watching them map the cave made me think of a question. Is there a single online database or something that cavers use to access the most up to date maps?
Yes. Its very organized. Cavers collect themselves into local groups and then State groups and Country and world groups. Each group has their own private websites where we can access all the things necessary. We also communicate with one another and set up meeting times and things like that. We have a library of every cave, it's exploration and mapping. And new ones are added all the time. Caving groups can share information with other caving groups although they are notoriously stingy by geographical area. But they will never share outside officially (state) recognized caving groups.
"I still have INCHES of room!" 🤣🤣🤣 I know you guys are safe, but it doesn't stop my anxiety when I'm watching you crawl and squeeze, lol. Of course thats why I love it too
This channel has and will always feature longer, unedited videos of every video we post on the main page. We generally wait a few months after the editing version is on the main page.
Caving with people a little bit older is crazy. I know anyone can have a heart attack and die but what if one of them has a heart attack or stroke and dies? They will be stuck in the tunnel and potentially block their friends in there.
Calvin. If I was caving with you all and I got stuck. Would you help me get free? It's gotta be a scary feeling for sure. I have major respect for you guys. 💯.
The trick is to not get stuck and then nobody has to ask or answer questions like that. I have had to answer tough questions once while caving and it is very unpleasant.
Do you ever turn out all the lights and crawl a section that you know is safe?
I get the stupidity of the question…but I’m just curious
Yes we do. Do it all the time and we love doing it. Sometimes I do it to help me get through an unknown passage. The light can be a distraction when you only need to feel things.

When I see you guys crawl way back in those caves i cant help but think if you god forbid broke your leg or had some kind of emergency how would anyone be able to get you out of that cave through all those little crawl passages? Im just curious is a rescue possible in a cave like that if a person is immobilized?
This is self rescue only. You can break both my legs and I will still crawl out.
My wife is going to have nightmares now (lol) and keeps asking me how I can watch this. Great videos!
You know, I've never dreamed of caving. I dream of hiking looking for caves in the city for some reason.
Watched this whole video and loved it. If anyone asks why they do it go to 59:00. Such a great response, well done sir!
On reflection on watching this my fear of place's like this is an absolute blessing
No fear is a blessing
Oh man only realized you were in Washington by mention of Jay Inslee. Cool!
We are sometimes in Washington.
Any recommendations for other good caving TH-cam channels. Yours is the best crazy how hard it is to find anything even descent compared to yours. Can’t get enough caving thanks
I’ve watched pretty much all the videos of yours on both channels
Wanting to do it is the easy part! The hardest part of all this is finding caves. That's the much longer and more difficult journey.
its amazing the life lessons that can be taught and learned from what you men do. Simply amazing. Thank you for the awesome footage
You are certainly welcome.
"I still have INCHES of room!" 🤣🤣🤣
I know you guys are safe, but it doesn't stop my anxiety when I'm watching you crawl and squeeze, lol. Of course thats why I love it too
Really hope you never stop uploading!
We won't stop, but there are some long pauses coming.
Next level daring🤯
Absolutely Loved the full content 👌 would love to see the full videos all the time. Missed Jacob in this one hope his well. Stay safe enjoy & much ❤️
This channel has and will always feature longer, unedited videos of every video we post on the main page.
We generally wait a few months after the editing version is on the main page.
I wish I could watch your videos more. They really do give me the heebie jeebies.
Maybe you could find some adventurous thing in life to give yourself the creeps. It's fun and very rewarding.
what if you need to #1 or #2 real bad once ure inside the cave ?
So you don't pay attention to the various carving striations in almost every cave you crawl etc...
We photograph and chart pretty much everything. Our final maps are very detailed, but kept private among pro cavers and the US Geological Survey.
The fact that one guy wore a hyper tough light into a cave. Wow
I do not like tight places.
What if you really have to poop but you’re stuck in a really tight squeeze that is taking hours to get through? Sorry… intrusive thought hahahaha
I think people fail to account whether they actually want an answer to that question or not.
I'd imagine you just let it go😂 thanks for your content! I love this channel!
@@EvenDarker aight thats all i needed to hear
I wonder if they could map with photogrammetry. They could make full 3d maps with real texturing. That would be cool.
Your question will answer itself if you continue to watch our videos
I can only imagine losing all light. To do this 60 years ago when battery’s didn’t last as long. Even with back up. No way. 😳
While light resources are much better these days... nobody should come down here if darkness is a concern.
What if someone has a medical issue and cant crawl by them self? arnt there passages where you all could possibly get stuck?
Go go gadget little cave men
Fantastic Video ❤️
Love the Poop!!! 😆
Gary was a trooper getting through that stuff... maybe some WD-40 with that plastic cardboard would help 🤭
REMOTE CAVE STINKS LIKE W-D 40. Details at eleven. 🤔
probably not a great idea to be breathing it in in an enclosed space
Large caves would be fun too explore however I dont see the enjoyment in this kind of caving !
Cavin Calvin "Ease of the Squeeze" ✌🏻
imagine if he was being chased by anyone?he can go in a cave and no one will go after him anymore lol
Great idea. That would mess up someone’s mind! “He was here just a second ago??”
I think it's a good video, for systematic disensibilisation of claustrophobia. A few minutes each day, and that's it... Rhoooo...
pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
Correct
@@EvenDarker i Google gud 😉
Good video keep up the good work 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Caving with people a little bit older is crazy.
Lava squeezes are so rough
