This game....was so unique to the other Final Fantasy's. It always saddened me to see how this was was eclipsed by 7. Blue Fields was and always will be my favorite overworld theme. I remember just feeling so..alone when it would play, it still gives me chills to this day.
I liked them both. 8 was kind of a breather from the heaviness of 7, and how it contrasted personal ties and love(8) to friendship and the theme of life(7). They're both wonderful and vivid stories.

Went around listening to the playlist again as I usually do, and this piece is just beautiful. It takes the typical jazz and smooth beats of final fantasy 7 and reworks them into a work of art. The background weather is expertly done, not too loud to overshadow the piece, but done to enhance the sound quality. It gives the piece a life of it's own. Amazing job, please never quit. You do wonderful work.
@Djibaz I am a great fan of The Doors, Riders on the Storm was indeed an inspiration for this :) And yes, this should be listened to with headphones in orders to appreciate the atmosphere and the slight details of rain and light thunder. Thank you :)

Anyway, you're the only one who chose to put some sounds effects for this song and it fits very well. It reminds me of "Riders on the storm" And listening to this song with big headphones makes me feel so relaxed. Thank you.

I don't really approve of you taking all that credit about a "masterpiece that lead the theme in a totally different direction" when this is an absolutely identical interpretation of the Piano Collections version of Blue Fields, but with some fancy effects aded to it. You should credit that in your description at least out of respect for the creator of this tune AND this version of it, Nobuo Uematsu.
There's no part of this video that shows that BitSymphony has taken that type of credit. That was another user that said that phrase. As far as it being an identical interpretation...it's the same notes, with a different instrument, and with multiple effects to create a mood. Sure, it would be better if they gave credit to Nobuo in each of his videos for the original. However, these are clearly remakes with some similarities and some differences to the originals. It's a possibility that these songs are licensed in a way that remakes can be distributed and sold legally. Unless anyone knows specifically what license it is, then there's not much more we can say on this subject.
I took the idea of the original song instrumentation, let it be played just like in the Piano Collections version, with those same beautiful notes, make sound more like a lullaby, soften out everything, make it calm and relaxing, add some rain and thunder. I think it worked pretty well for an alternate version of the song. All credit goes to Mr Nobuo Uematsu of course, and that's every single time i upload a song. The man is the master, not me! I am just a guy who loves video game songs, i admire and respect their composers in a way i can't describe in words, they are my inspiration and what i do is to pay tribute to them, take their songs and make them have another life so they never may be forgotten.
