I read in your response to another viewer that you felt quite flustered with the time limit. This video does have a different pace than your others. But it makes sense-I'm sure it was a challenge to film the food, eat it, and make mental notes of each of these many items and get out of there on time! This was an interesting eating scenario. I enjoyed watching it, but I think I would feel flustered if I ate there, too! All the best to you, Bacons! 🎉
Ordering from the iPad is very generous. In America, we have to wave down a staff to get our order which takes 4x longer due to it. I'd give anything to be able to just do it right away myself. Also, most buffets are 90 mins.
@@fjeisdivoojlk How interesting. I'm in the USA also and have never been to a buffet that was timed! Is it a big city thing? I guess you learn something new everyday. :)
AYCE Buffet is fairly popular in Thailand for whatever social class you identify with😅 Hence most of these businesses enforce time-limit to keep the table moving.
@@BIGJATPSU Thanks for letting me know. I am intrigued by this. I haven't been to a buffet in probably over a decade, and the ones I had gone to were definitely the cozy Midwestern variety, or the classic Chinese-American variety. Glad to have learned something about dining in my own country in a roundabout way from this channel. 😄
That stuff sticks out to me too. I remember in another video with a sushi conveyer belt they pulled off squid covered in cheese and said they couldn’t enjoy/finish this. They have an extremely adventuresome pallet and it’s rare that they speak negatively of any dishes.
I'm always so interested to see what Asian countries consider western cuisine, it's so cool and sometimes funny to see the differences between the actual food and what has either been adjusted for a different palate or adapted in unique and novel ways!
The late comedian, John Pinette, would lose his mind if he was only given 120 minutes at an all-you-can eat place. Look him up. He was a very funny guy!
I love buffets and it looks like the Thais do their differently. It's more of a sit down concept rather than what some of us would consider buffet style. Still interesting viewing.
@HorWangZaaa I bet there is far less waste than when customers serve themselves portions, too. I know here in the US many buffets of any food/cuisine now weigh and charge you for wasting food by over filling and not eating what you take. I've only once not eaten what I took but it had a big old hair fried into it. Other than that I don't only take a sample bit I can always get more if I like something.
After seeing you have relatively positive things to say about a whole chicken breast blended into a smoothie, that chawanmushi must have been REALLY bad!
I kind of like the concept of a buffet with a time limit because I know people who litterally stay all day eating and visiting at a buffet but only pay 1 price even if they were there for 2 different meals.
Staff is "Praewa Admin" Thai seafood is usually eaten with seafood sauce, which is green chili. It should be on your table with other condiments. I'm surprise that you guys didn't go to Copper Buffet yet.
Surprised to see you in Thailand! Make sure you try Thai seafood sauce if you can. It's the green bottle you can see at 2:01 (some restaurants maybe orange, depending on the type of chili). The sauce is a signature of Thai cuisine, and it goes well with any kind of seafood to the point that Thai people love bringing it with them when they go on international trip haha.
I made my own gourmet 'delicacy' last night! A dish with smoked herring, bbq sauce, spring onion, mustard, wasabi, vinegar, olives and capers! I had it cold on toast. I would have paid a lot of money for something that good but it only cost less than $5 to make!
The time limit would give me anxiety which would cause stomach to get upset and I wouldnt be able to eat. I dont know how you managed but props to you and Ms.Bacon
what if your gf is allergic to penicillin and therefore has to avoid seafood in case they medicated the farm fish. is there anyway to know if the seafood here is from the natrual ocean or is it impossible/not worth the risk?
Awesome buffets was the reason I subscribed to 💃🥓 years ago! Love these videos! They're so much fun. Have always loved both and the cruise videos. Thanks for making everyone HUNGRY yet again lol. You also inspired me to make my Hawaii FOOD Channel too. (I just uploaded a few food videos) I dont have as many subscribers as you, so I'm trying to work harder and harder to earn those subscribers. But the process is enjoyable and my only regret at the moment is I wish I had more time to make more videos. (Still work a 40 hr week and got littles to take care of). Love and Aloha from Hawaii!
You guys weren’t messing around getting as many dishes as you could. I don’t think I saw a shot of Mrs Bacon smiling after she took a bite. Great video as always
The food looked good and for $85 for 2 people it was reasonable, but if I was there the crispy pork and the duck is something we would be fighting to the death for using "the lirpa" (a traditional Vulcan melee weapon). 😂😂
Shame the Aussie striploin steak wasn't great, maybe next time you should come to Australia and try it straight from the source 🤤 (don't forget we're well known for our lamb as well!)
Two hour time limit? Geez, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. An all-you-can-eat buffet is usually lost on me, I can’t eat much. With two hours, I could have an entree, have a break, eat a main, have a break, eat dessert, have one more break and check to see if I missed anything. Then roll back to my accommodation 🤣🤣🤣
I know, that seems like so much time! I suppose it's different here where everything seems cooked to order, but I've only been to buffets where you serve yourself. In those, even if I stuff myself, I'm absolutely DONE in under an hour.
Your dry wit and honest assessments always make your videos well worth watching, IMO. Seems like this buffet was actually mostly worth it? For $35 USD it seems pretty decent.
All of these other countries that don't experience crime that USA does. Good food and peaceful for the most part. You can't trust leaving out an iPad to order off of in America! Haha

it’s buffet but not like all kind of food in one dish. When you make a payment to this buffet, they will give you an amount of time to order free food before the time runs out
Well the thai economy is much smaller and poorer than the UK. The average thai person doesn't live off very much. For them, this meal is 3 times the average daily wage. Also, thailand heavily relies on tourism so I imagine that skews things as well. Still, it is a decent amount of stuff but different economies have different sorts of scale
