  • There are all sorts of events that can pop up in the present that affect future game development schedules months down the road. In this video we take a look into my thinking and I show you guys how scheduling and timing are important priorities when staying in business as an indie game developer.

    Wow, that sounds like a lot to juggle and a newborn as well! I definitely couldn't do that. When my daughter was born, just having her was enough to eat up mine and my wife's time haha. Good luck with everything going forward!

    I'm glad to see that you have taken the time to improve mighty math despite slowing down your progress. I have said on my comments on Steam that it has multiplayer and mission mode potential.
    I have also commented on the perplexing orb bounce and roll saying that you can make more challenging achievements. Challenges such as find all hidden shortcuts, collect 10,000 artifacts in total, or clear the game within 40 min.
    Game developers including major companies make these types of challenges for completionists and speed-runners for replay ability.

      Thanks so much PlayToons! Yea for something like Mighty Math we didn't sell a ton, but honestly I still really have fun playing the game and definitely wanted to upgrade it a little with some of the player suggestions. Sometimes we can add things that players suggest and other times it can be too time consuming or not the best fit, but I try to incorporate good feedback when I can =) thanks for watching! I like some of your orb trophy suggestions as well, maybe with orb 3 we will do some tougher ones! It is surprising because I thought Bounce N' Roll was just difficult as it was to complete the game 😂 You must have had pro level skills!

    i want to be 100% honest with you about the atari vcs version your indie dev the gem collector the controls on that game felt stiff and unplayable for me i have trouble moving the character it doesn't feel smooth for me at all i just want it to let you know i do how this issue problem gets fix for the next future update on the atari vcs and i also think video game deelopment is hard too but everything is hard in life nothing is easy in life the only thing that is easy is life is some of the miniroty of things but the majority of things the rest can be hard and thanks for sharing letting us know your other indie game your working on is coming to other platfroms and the atari vcs as well

    Why would anyone care about games farted out in a week? All the point of indie games is to put a soul in them. You are like indie EA :D

    • @Entropy67
      @Entropy67 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think it's funny you say that without looking at any of the games. Unlike AAA studios, indie devs can and often do build whole ass fun games in a week. it's called a game jam, seems your unfamiliar.

    • @TreeFallStudios
      @TreeFallStudios  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also if your take away from this video is that we only make a ton of games in a single week to make as much money from consumers like EA does I feel like you missed the point of the video lol. Thanks for watching though I do appreciate it.

      @@Entropy67 I know what game jam is. It's an event and game making exercise. As example look at Hollow Knight that was inspired from game jam Hungry Knight. It was made for the exercise not to be sold to customers. Seems you are unfamiliar with thing called morals.

      @@TreeFallStudios Look this video was recommended to me randomly I don't really know what you want to achieve but if you create 20 games in the week to profit from them while there are thousands of free games out there and some of them are AAA quality well good luck man!

      Lol not really worth responding to this but in the video challenge I say it is a one time thing for fun, and to push myself to work longer and harder so I could make a way to raise some revenue so I can take some time off for my son being born. The challenge was only for fun for 3 games and in this video you just commented on I literally explain how I can't even do it if I tried lol but somehow you think I am making 20 games in a week to "solely profit". My challenge was originally planned for each game to have 10 days of dev time plus basically a month of port timing lol. But thanks I do appreciate all the comments lol
