Drove loads of class 27s on the push & pulls Queen street to Waverley station Edinburgh when I was a fireman at eastfield 1974 onwards great work horses apparently after renewing the line from Queen st to Waverley Edinburgh a couple of years ago the only managed to reduce the time by 15 minutes than the old push & pulls could do it
Wonderful to hear. My favourite story is the loco switched off & gliding to a stop with the driver jumping off before it came to a stop ! Hope this wasn't you ! I.
