- Sigma Cortex Adapter True DD update.
It now allows the Playstation to detect the Simagic base as a Fanatec GT DD Pro, vs emulating a G29 before.
FFB massively improved!
Edit*still a bit of wierd ffb effect during tire slip, but it improved where you can feel the wheel getting heavy just before the tire slips.
Before, that heaviness was almost non-existent, and the tire slip itself was wilder before. Trying to tweak the sigma settings and hopefully get rid of that wierd tire slip effect.
Also, no more disconnections.
Overall, it's getting close to a perfect solution in bringing Simagic to consoles.
sigma settings used
ffb: 100
wheel-speed: 20
smooth: 2
damper and friction: 15%
(rest stock)
gt7 in-game ffb: 2 or 3 - เกม
What handbrake and shifter are you using, will they also plug into the Sigma Cortex Converter and be able to be used on the PS5?
You need to have Simagic Shifter and Handbrake to make it work with Sigma. All Peripherals must be connected directly to your Alpha Base.
Hence im not able to use my VNM H-Shifter and Arduino Handbrake.
@@jgatlabayan86 ahhhh, no worries, so plug all peripherals into the Simagic USB Hub, which then connects to the Wheel base, which then goes to the Sigma Cortex, then to the PS5? I was trying to reduce costs (lol), as the Simagic Shifter and handbrake are quite expensive compared to the Fanatec ones
@@DonsShed oh sorry i forgot to mention that Sigma adaper has 4 usb-a ports in total. So you can use this method if u dont have official simagic hub.
One for the base, and 3 others usb ports that u can directly connect official simagic pedals, shifters, and handbrake. Unfortunately, only official simagic peripherals are compatible.
@@jgatlabayan86 ahhh, ok, thank you :)
Do you have a drivehub to test if they both work together in seperate usb ports plugged in directly to the PS? So sigma for wheelbase & Drivehub for pedals?
I dont own Drivehub to test :(
I sold my PS5 last month.
How is GT7 ffb compared to Iracing ffb on the sigma ??
I think console and GT7 ffb wouldn't be able to compare to the ffb fidelity of PC based games like iRacing.
I still have a slight problem with the wierd tire slip ffb effect of the cortex.
I see a lot of oscillation on the straights, something that plagued the Brook device, but they have allegedly resolved that, does it feel super unnatural with the sigma cortex too?
It already feels great with the cortex. One of the things that improved over time.
On the longest straight, there was a moment that i was pinching the wheel to see how much oscillation it makes, which was quite reasonable.
Is it the road surface that may cause some oscillating or a software issue?
@@wilsonfrancis4572 it felt more road surface. Ffb felt good with cortex. But i still fault the wierd ffb during wheel spins.
what's your pedal setup? also simagic via the sigma?
Simagic P2000-200lc with long throttle.
Yes, you need a simagic pedal set to work with the sigma cortex.
@@jgatlabayan86 awesome, thx for the reply!
Does it work with ACC on PS5?
Used to. There's a problem with the new firmware with ACC and Forza H.
To make it work, you have to revert to an older firmware that emulates a G29, rather than a GT Pro DD. But for GT7 ffb, the jump from old to the new firmware feels night and day.
I'm sure sigma will release an update soon for it.
@@jgatlabayan86 Thanks for letting me know. 👍🏾
any input delay?
