Boulder County Senior Tax Exemption Program

If you are 65 years or better and have owned/occupied your home in Boulder County for 10 consecutive years, you could qualify for a discount on your property taxes! The Senior Homestead Property Tax Exemption is administered through the Assessor’s Office and can help seniors save hundreds each year on property taxes. Just be sure to apply for the program between Jan. 1 and July 15 in order for the discount to apply on the next year’s tax bill.

that 10 years of time requirement sounds a lot like BS. AS A SENIOR YOU COULD DIE WAITING. Who writes this stuff, if you are a senior and a home owner that should be enough to qualify, end of story.
