I came across ED while playing NMS, and after playing 10 hours a day, 7 days a week since its release. I've completed everything there is to do. With every available possible thing to do done and everything available maxed out, there us nothing left to do but warp to new galaxies. Presently I am in the 25th, and can go no farther due to complete boredom. I play NMS on a PS4, though ED isn't available at this time on PS4, it's coming soon. So until then, I am doing a lot of research on ED and realize that it will be my next purchase. At 68 years old and retired, I have a considerable amount of time to invest in playing ED. The data you provided in all your videos are going to be the most helpful of any I've come accross. Thank you!

One thing to keep in mind... Inara, EDDB, and Thrudds all use data from the same backend database (EDDN), which is what the Elite Dangerous Market Connector updates automatically as you play.

For explorers I'd recommend also www.edsm.net/. You can easily upload your netlogs and keep track of the systems you have visited, draw travel maps, see points of interests and epic locations discovered by other players, make notes etc. No manual work, just drag & drop your log files into your browser. I didn't even know the game keeps a log of your travels automatically.
How do you get that loop diagram (the second one you show) showing you what to buy and where to sell? The link is just to a static jpg and none of those systems are anywhere near me as far as I'm aware. The search function on eliteraretrader doesn't find any systems near me, either. Odd.
Yes the loop trade is just a static site that identifies a trading route. Those systems should all come up on the system map when you type it in. Each stop listed has a rare traded item available.
I find it sad that there is a need for third party tools in the first place. This should've been in the game stock. Tabbing out is just a kick in the balls for immersion. Also doesn't make sense that you can buy trade data, but not even check the damn prices. not even manually. the tools provided in game are not even limited. they're worthless.

Note Support for Engineering database ceased with Version 8.3 in Nov 2016 (as the note on the front sheet). Whilst this was a very useful tool at one time, Version 8.3 was released before Frontier removed the commodities from the Engineer recipes (I have not used my copy since then) A tool that is still being supported is ED Engineer github.com/msarilar/EDEngineer . ( I downloaded the latest version 1.0.4.7 this morning) As well as telling you what you NEED for an upgrade, this tool can tell you what upgrades you already have materials/data for (by keeping track of the materials and data in your ship) You can even configure the tool to only show upgrades from Engineers you have already unlocked. NOTE: As with the most useful ED Apps this App uses Frontiers Elite Dangerous API (see this link www.reddit.com/r/EliteTraders/comments/38hqdh/edapi_elite_dangerous_api_tool_with_trade/ There are currently three widely used clients based on Frontier's API (detailed on the above link) I use EDMC Use of the API requires you to supply your ED login, password and the e-mail address registered with Frontier. Whilst there is the potential here for the developer to hack your ED account , my research has shown it is neither practical or in the developer's interest to do so. Millions of copies sold, 10's of millions profit, I like your idea of fail. Now of course if you want a game to last more than a few weeks you would make it easy to learn and take forever to master. You could make it so hard that people develop tools and database to help master, these tools make it easier and are NOT REQUIRED to play. It shows the level of a game that people are willing to do this for the enjoyment of a game they play. You have an interesting idea of failed.
