Everybody focuses on Relichunter watch for their Seppermeru area base ; but actually Ironbreaker ridge (the nearest mountain just east) has basically the same benefits, with one of the most beautiful views in the game, on the salt lake, deformed mountains and volcano north, Nameless City east, and the lights of Seppermeru itself south. And it's a very large plateau, fit for a citadel. Seriously, go have a look

One of my favorite locations is the area by the Ruins of Velstad. Gorgeous scenery with lots of green trees, a river, rugged rocks, and even snow on one side. Plus, it is solid for resources. Tons of iron nearby, coal also. Short run to the Shattered Springs for brimstone. Of course trees for wood and with the river there, you can set some fish traps for oil. Not to mention it is a short run to the volcano for all the resources found there.
Another nice, builder friendly location is to the right of mitra prayers oasis, there is a big flat area, i'm currently building my bronze age influenced barbarian stronghold there, it's great, because you have iron, coal, lots of stone, wood, dry wood nearby, also, The Den is just a minute or so away from you, it's easy to go north from there, because it's a center of the map, also, the Forgotten city and the Altar of Chaos Mouth is just nearby, just in case, the only problem there is a snake and scorpions spawning area, but it fixes easily with building more structures around, to prevent them from spawning, you basically have everything you need there, and also, it's a beautiful area too
lol... the last location is the location where i built my first very big base.... it was only a few weeks after the game came out into the ea oh man i need to play this game again.... the map got huge :O
Same here. That location is my top building location as well. Looks good, easy to defend, most resources are just around the corner and no matter where you want to go, it is pretty much in the middle.
my top 5 are, 1. around sepermeru and oasis 2. near asgard on top of statues/river 3. east and west of starting river 4. crown grove 5. new asgard (hate the howling at nite)
Just wanted to point out that nearly every location you picked you can not build on due to event/ghosts/poison gas/resource location/Thrall location. All good server admins would delete buildings on those locations. Fun video though.
game could definitely use more esthetic locations considering how many large crafting stations are there and not enough flat terain for nice epic castles

I also liked that you didnt have that cliche' douche bag spinning block letter bass heavy intro on your vids like most gamer youtubers. Those things are fucking cringy as fuck. You earned a sub.
Your locations are good if your doing an offline play through or a server build it up sort of thing but the problem is that though chosen right this video aims more towards creativity then survival and lacks that survival taste. Also those aliens are called sentinels I'd be far more scared of them than your character they are angry they coming for ya now.

In the start of the jungle. You can build a little house there and a temple next to it, and there is a LOT of iron.

Salt pools are not longer useable they have toxic gas, the plains one is also unusable because ther eis now a giant siege castle there
BTW, a lot of these areas are no no build areas on servers, since it blocks a lot of important things. Only singleplayer/private.

Mounds is the perfect place for a "cabin in the woods" style house
The area you call bottom right has changed. Now it only has one cliff that juts out on the right. The left jut is non existent now.
