    Wow! into the straightpipe scene for sure. I want to be able to hear in later years. Hope you'll consider earplugs.

      Got ear plugs and use headphones on the fender tractor plugged in to the fender radio.

    • @danred806
      @danred806  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Darn nice video. I grew up in "66" series tractors. I sure miss driving them.

    Thanks! That was a well put together video. I really enjoyed it. Nice looking and running machines you have there!

    Done a good set of earmuffs.. i think an old cab and floor could be insulated as well as new cabs . Cool tractor.

    FArmers in my area think they have to have new expensive tractors.
    The old iron still does the job.
    You are proof of that

      I agree, I have thee older tractors a 1989 IMT 539 39hp ; 1990 Massey Ferguson 3070 90hp ; 2004 John Deere 5320 64 hp.

    Was the LCD flat panel monitor standard equipment when the tractor left the factory? I know, silly question. It was probably obsolete plasma technology.

      Danny Criss Nope. That was added later.

    Where'd you get your stack on the 1466 on the augger?

    • @danred806
      @danred806  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Had it custom built at Thomure MFG. 1-800-527-9954. It had to be cut to a special length to get in my garage door.

      @@danred806 thanks! Is it a 5 or a 4? I'm running a 4 currently but I want a 5. And not too tall

    Have two 1566's, and a 5288. They pull a international 760 disk, a john deere 900 V-ripper, case 7 bottem plow, and a 22' field cultivator. best tractors we've ever had.

  • @danred806
    @danred806  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Visibility is ok for a tractor that age. Drawbar is easy to see, not like the 86 series. It rides better than an 86 series too becasue of the position of the seat. Noise is somehwhat loud, mostly gear noise though. I always have to stop to talk on my cell phone. I'm sure it would help my tractor some if all the original foam and upholstry was replaced. Some of its missing.

  • @danred806
    @danred806  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really dont know what it will do. It sure dont take them long to load the trucks though.

  • @ih1206
    @ih1206 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    how do you like your loader on your 806? my cousin is thinking about putting one on a 1206 to load small squares with a grapple forks.

    Are those cummins engines in those IH's? They sound pretty similar to the combines of the same name brand.

  • @ih1206
    @ih1206 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    He went ahead and put it on, think it was a case lx 160 or something. the 1206 has a heavier front end on it. One goofy looking machine now but it seems to work.

    why did you start in the middle of the field

    • @danred806
      @danred806  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Field is flat in the middle so figured we could get ripper set easier.

  • @danred806
    @danred806  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wanted to rip out the tracks and compaction that the combine and grain cart left behind and get them loosened up.

  • @danred806
    @danred806  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thats the only tractor it will fit on. Frotnend is a little light for it. The old artsway is way to heavy. A newer westendorf or something might work better with a quich tach bucket so we could put a pallet fork on too.
