Hello Richard, we recommend a minimum speed of 18mph at wide open throttle for your best hydrofoil experience. What is your wide open throttle speed and at what rpm's? You may text me at 727-455-5576 for a faster reply or email mike@pontoonhydrofoil.com. Thank You for yor interest!
All these "lift" systems, that purports 350-700lbs of force, without thinking about how that effects the integrity of the existing motor pod and framework that are not designed for it, seems to be asking for trouble.
Just as mentioned below by alpha racing redistribution of the VARA® Plate forces over the span of the Anti Vent plate are minimal. The outboard manufacturers must build in a factor for groundings and hitting hard objects otherwise there would disposable outboards on bottoms thruout the world. I would also add that there have been NO failures or signs of failures to date. The VARA® Plate works in conjunction with the VARA® Foil to offer helm control for weight distribution changes on deck while hydrofoiling on pontoon boats like people moving, wind gusts, etc. Give it a try or call us with any other questions and thanks, mike gable 727 455 5576

You would only be redistributing the existing force. I don't see an issue.
