Thanks for watching! the primitive sites here are very private, heck I did not even know they were there and I have been to this park at least a dozen times for family reunions!
Man I hear ya! seems like every time I am camping it is overcast! Summer is hear and clouds are getting hard to find so the next several campsites should be nice and bright! thanks for watching!!
thank you for the very kind words! my very first Texas State park? from like way back in the late 60's? probably Lake Whitney SP, or do you mean the first to create a TH-cam Video for, that would be Huntsville and that video was pretty bad....th-cam.com/video/m9x0ebCFG0Y/w-d-xo.html I really did not know where I was going with my experiential campground videos until I get my rig stuck at McKinney Falls State Park, that was when I know I had to tell folks what to really expect when they arrive, that way you can really plan your trip. I appreciate your support! thanks for watching!!
You said that the spot you were in you could not get level - do you know which spot that was? We don't have much experience and I don't want to get into that situation.
I dont "remember" to many parks since that visit. BUT! I do have another video where I tell you all about it...th-cam.com/video/9JDt7QTb-Ps/w-d-xo.html I hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Huntsville was one of the first parks that I shot video of, I did not do a very good job on that and plan of returning sometime in the near future.

Did you visit Baby Clay's BBQ? It's just about 4 miles from, the Park towards Mexia. It will be on your right.
I must have driven right by it! they were probably closed on Sunday morning early when I went by, so sad!!
