25:56 - The hug conversation. It's about respecting the other person's personal space. I thought it was understood world over - you lean over - indicating you are reaching out for a hug, pause to see if there is a response - if the other person doesn't lean in too, you take a step back and shake hands. Simple enough, no? You may be a great hugger, but the other person may have gone through stuff in life that makes them avoid physical touch especially in professional surroundings. I used to go for the Namaste as a default always! So cultural preferences, the setting - professional or social in addition to personal preferences - all play a huge role in the way people greet one another.

This channel is not for charity. This channel is a business and they try to balance it with some underrated stuff but if views are terribly low then why would they make these reactions ? First ask people of that state from which these movies originate to support them.

Like Achara said, censorship is a nuanced topic. There are essentially two aspects- the first is the ridiculous policing like a child lock for adults and the second more important aspect is weeding out lazy and awful creators who know that people will consume anything with sex abuse and foul language so make anything. The second I have major issues with . A list actresses in india used to have a standard that if the script requires a kiss they’re ok doing it , if it’s just a titillating sequence they won’t do it. Now it’s flipped . Deepika famously turned down being in the same room as Vicky Kaushal and other up and coming actors and directors early on when she was a new A lister but now makes out with Siddhant chaturvedi whose not an A lister for a shitty movie . For a A lister she doesn’t even have to conform to newcomer manifestos of catch their attention but she’s still gyrating on the sand in Pathan. The problem with agency is that it’s application is very hypocritical - if a man in the audience likes an item song because of the skin on display it’s cheap, if the woman actor is paid to strip for a movie and gets trolled she gets defensive about her agency but isn’t dressing like that in real life . Agency is in real life not for a character in the cloud . As far as LGBT goes, india was perfectly fine with it and the British came and criminalised it. It took these many years to fix the criminal aspect of it but as far as same sex marriage goes , the parliament will vote on it so both the party in power and the opposition get the blame if it doesn’t go through because modi is the convenient punching bag. My only advise to you is if you genuinely want to discover india, do it with boots on the ground by speaking to locals . And by locals I don’t mean actors and people from the industry like Nas , Beep, or anyone for that matter . Creative people give creative answers. Creative people are self absorbed narcissists and their income is not based on praise or hate of the Govt and they’re easily buyable because their opinion is distorted by PR agencies, twitter etc. elections aren’t won online. Manoj and Pankaj may give the most realistic image of india. I was pretty shocked at your stance of not discussing kerela files when Isis brides is a quick google search away. A movie will always be propaganda- we don’t see it that way for romance , action or the horror genre because each of those genres are stretched and exaggerated but we are trained by the media to treat communal propaganda differently when it’s not: whether you agree with it or not it’s just a movie.
