Very super cool bike there Lance I’m glad you brought your self a new bike I’m sure you deserve your self a new bike now and again. . So looking forward to seeing you on the trails on it soon
Slinky set of wheels! Inspired by your midlife review approach I presented the bike upgrade or a younger model choice at home. Now living in the garage.
Nice upgrade Lance. Not a fan of the Bosch controller and display myself. My Trek Rail has the integrated battery indicator in the frame which is all I need and much tidier... And then one thing to consider if you do short rides without powering the bike, you can't change gears with AXS (as it's powered from the bike)... Looking forward to the review... Ride safe.
I agree with you regarding the controller and display 100%. Can't see me riding without motor. One slight issue. When I take the rear wheel out I put in smallest cog. I need to turn bike on to do this.
Very nice Lance 👌, It would look very nice down the jump line at Cougar Park,, just saying. The new charge door looks the buisness compared to our rubber grommets, hope they use these on all buildings moving forward.
Impressive, most impressive! 😎 But since you asked and I like to nit pick... for that money something better than an inhouse stem would be nice 😉 Eddy Currents are good for longevity being the soft compound, but for traction in the wet I'd go for a stickier front like a 2.6 Ultra Soft MM or stick with the Continental Argotals that you've been having success with. Final few thoughts... you go pretty big Lance, so I'm not sure how much I would trust carbon cranks on my bike. It's not a warranty claim I'd ever want to make if you know what I mean 🤕 And finally, I wonder if the dropper battery clears the rear tire under full compression? Cheers on your new whip! 🍻
Thanks for that. Was wondering about battery on seat post but given it comes factory I assume KTM is not stupid enough to let that happen. Never had carbon cranks. Not sure how often they break. I do break lots of stuff though.😮
@@bestdayevermtb2 Yeah you'd figure they would have that sorted, but it sure looks close 🙃 On a side note a friend informed me that Schwalbe now has a Eddy Current front tire with the Ultra Soft compound in a 29"x2.6". The weight is suppose to be pretty reasonable being a super trail casing.
KTM should have Ohlins suspension on it with the DT Swiss wheels Shame on you for putting sub par American components on such a nice bike (Ok... its probably all made in Taiwan so does it really matter ;). I bought the car first, then the new wife (who made me sell the car), then the Emtb for my mid life crisis. Love your videos!
@@bestdayevermtb2 I’m not baller enough to have one :(, on the videos I’ve see I believe the tilt is on the front, you might need to loosen the side bolt first to adjust the tilt before tightening the side bolt again
@@bestdayevermtb2 okay so we are the same.. So I need to get the "L" then too. Was yesterday out with the "M" was not that bad... But I was not so sure, they have right now no "L" around but can be ordered. Hmmm do I need to ask them for a "L"? Looks like?
Found it really hard to watch this video to be totally honest Lance……because of all the drool that had dribbled down onto my tablet’s screen. 😂😂 As bling goes, that’s mega bling. Congrats and enjoy. Life is way too short to look at bank balances.
@@bestdayevermtb2lol. I used that same strategy when I bought my Levo. Buying 2 bikes was painful - but not as painful or deafening as it would have been if I had only bought mine.
Have you not seen the jumps he's been doing? It's easy to use that much travel on big landings, but it's also a lifesaver in a situation where you land front heavy, that extra bit can prevent you going over the bars if you have it set up well. I ride 170mm front and can occasionally use it all on a harsh or front heavy landing. Plus, that much travel makes rough technical trails much more ridable. They wouldn't make 180mm forks if there was no point in having them.
New bike day is always the best day, congrats looking forward to see it flying…
Sorry grade 3 trails from now on 😂
New Bike Day - YIPPEEEEE !
Congratulations 🔥
That bike must ride like a dream. So sick!
Very super cool bike there Lance I’m glad you brought your self a new bike I’m sure you deserve your self a new bike now and again. . So looking forward to seeing you on the trails on it soon
I clearly deserve a new bike. Explaining that to the wife was more of a challenge. 😂
Bike is so beautiful. It needs nothing else but you to send it !!!! Congratulations !!
Will do my best.
Congrats Lance! I can't wait to hear how you like it
Absolutely stunning bike Lance, congratulations on the dream build. Looking forward to you sending it on that beast.
Thanks Chris. Will see you on the trails.
Thats a stunning bike and build Lance! With all that bling you should definitely be 15-20% faster! Happy new bike day mate 👍
It certainly feels fast. I have to be careful not to flip it in race mode.😂
Looks sharp, love the paint
very nice Lance ! how could you make it better......park it in my garage !
You are not wrong. I have 9 in my garage and only have room for two.😂
Ok well that's going to work out perfectly then, don't worry I will take good care of it ! 😅
Very flash, love the new bike. Great build and a nice little upgrade. Say hi next time you fly by me!
Will do. May find it harder to talk and ride in race mode.😂
WOW.................... nice bike Lance.
Looking forward to your feedback on this bike
Looking forward to providing feedback.
That bike looks so awesome. You are going to love it. Congrats 🔥😁🤙
Thanks looking forward to giving it a proper ride tomorrow

You have a big TV in there don't you?😂
Lovely bike Lance. New bike day is definitely the best. Enjoy!
Thanks, been waiting awhile for this one but worth the wait.
You're crazy! Congrats, Lance! 🍾
Mate, the bike is just gorgeous. Living the dream. 😊
Thanks. I really can't believe I have it. I am too scared to get it dirty😁
If you’ve still got the OEM (well, Euro OEM) tyres you might consider something narrower as the rear 2.8 can rub the swingarm.
Thanks for that.
I would give up my first born for this bike. Oh my goodness it is absolutely gorgeous! 😮
I really do love this bike. Always enjoy riding it.

Looks flash and shiny. I like the colour 100% more than the old orange.
Thanks Lindsay it does look cool.
Happy new bike day, looks epic.
Thanks.
No carbon rails on the seat, i don't think i could ride it 😁
Sweet ride Lance, 170/180 is perfect and the paint looks amazing
The bike will also look better when the diamond studded pedals arrive.😂
Awesome Lance. In race mode you will break sound barrier. 😊
As long as that is all I break.😂
Fit 4 damper and a 180 mm rotor. Hope you got a deal , a good one.
For a list price (per your link) of $23.5K ..... rainbows should literally shine out of your bum while riding that thing! ;) (Enjoy it and have fun!)
I might set up a camera and check for that. Would look cool if it does.
@@bestdayevermtb2 I'd (almost) be prepared to pay to to see that in fairness! LOL

That could be interesting.

Maybe. Still haven't really tested it yet. Big plans though.
soooo purdy... (the bike I mean) congrats!! How about some bling lights that intergrate to the battery...
Magicshine lights of course.
Yes I been waiting for this one
That is one sweet ride! Congrats and enjoy
Thanks. Super happy right now.
Great looking bike sad we don't see alot of these in the UK I think there definitely up there with the better looking E bikes 👌🏻
Thanks. I am pleased with how it looks. Seems ashame to get it dirty.
Captain Sender will need to upgrade his whip now.
Pleased for you Lance! And pleased your wife is safe 😂 absolutely beautiful bike however... Make it better? continental tyres of course!!
Yes it really needs some Continental tyres. Secretly I really like the look of these ones as well.
Bling Magura brakes would be fun
Keen to give them a good test out.
Wow! That looks awesome.
A Chopper Guard flag, some spokey-dokies and some grips with tassels then you'll be sorted!
Now you are talking. I used to have a chopper flag. Don't understand why they went out of fashion.😂
Congrat. Love your life crise ❤
Don´t know if you Are being faster, but your smile is for sure longer and wider.
Could do some tests to see if race motor quicker.
That’s a pretty sharp looking bike with some fruity bits 🙌
It certainly has lots of fruit.😁
Its awesome. Congratulations
sick as bike i finished full pretty fly today exacly 2 months since i started mtb
is ktm a good bike brand
I think so. Good quality
Lovely bike, although with Bernard over in NZ I thought you might have tapped him up for a cheap Pivot.
Pivot is nice but Bosch race motor vs Shimano motor. It is no contest.
You couldn't wait for the Zerode E Bike with Gearbox?
Actually had a good chat with Rob in Rotorua on Sunday. I think it is awhile away yet.
You only live once nice call mate! I'm jealous
Love carbon nice one lance enjoy how much does bike weigh?
25kg. Not light but does have a 750 battery.

Never had Ohlins but do like their suspension. I did the maths and this bike was much cheaper than a new wife.😂
That bar roll and saddle angle though 😂
Yes I agree. Have fixed the bars now. Funny thing I can't work out how to adjust the seat. It is not standard. Will definitely adjust it though.
@@bestdayevermtb2 The angle adjust on the axs dropped is so good. Makes you wish it was standard on all seat posts

@51KTM51Hurricane very cool. I am in France today, left Italy this morning. Nearly crossed into Switzerland but decided to go via France.
Just a question Lance, what length cranks are you running?
160 on this bike
Perfect. Small amount makes a big difference for pedal strikes.

Shouldn’t have to do much to that bike with that kit on it.
Only doing blue trails on this bike😂
BUT its NOT orange. So are you saying that you CAN now jump ANYTHING.
No not saying that. Will just look cool doing the blue trails.😁
Super jelly right now....
I feel very lucky
You could have put Jolanda Neff on it, much nicer 😜
I think even my wife wouldn't disagree with that. 😁
So you now a KTM factory rider now?
Won't go that far. I do have a KTM t shirt if that counts.😂

It could be better if you added Jessica Alba to it.

How much
I think they retail for $23 500 NZ
Please weigh it?
It is listed as 25kg.
@bestdayevermtb2 yeah my trek rail was listed 2kgs lower. Would be interesting to see if yours is as listed.
Oh Lance, It is missing the most important component ever. A gearbox. Ha.
I would love that. Maybe one day. But for now it is pretty sick.
so much more fun than replacing the wife,,
My wife has a new e bike too. Excited to do first ride together this Friday in Opotiki.
Christen it on hazard and 5th! .

That’s tidy. Where are you going to use 180mm of travel😂
Have you not seen the jumps he's been doing? I case so badly it keeps me out of trouble. 😂
The bike needs a carbon bottle cage.
I am working on that. Getting a carbon one with diamonds inlaid into the carbon.😂
