I am a huge fan of 2017X for a lot of the reasons you listed. But my favorite parts about him such as his Story and Personality, is his interaction with other Sonic Characters. There is a surprising lot of so no s where he facing more then the main cast.

The first is called “Petrified” and it’s where poor cream happens to stumble upon ‘Sonic’. The other one is called “Tremor” where it see’s Silver pit up against him. Know I would like to remind these are fan made songs about 2017X that aren’t A part of Legacy, but I think they still fit his character well even if they don’t have much of a story.
Oh and I almost forgot, I wanted to leave some recommendations on other sonics. The ones you might get a kick out of are Faker, (If you like Lord X a bunch, he did make this guy) Hog, (Think of this guy a new take on Faker, yet still different) and All Father, (This one apparently claims to be the Father of all EXE’s, I found him interesting.) from what i remember being stated, tails is once again not tails. a lot of these exe universes opt for human souls being trapped in the sonic characters bodies like how tails in 2011x universe is a person named Alan (a lot of this is lost when playing or watching anything with them due to the player tails' not having a unique design to them. this is only told to you when you look them up on the exe wiki & following their twitter (or in alan's case looking at the players name at the hide and seek section of the game) but from what i remember was stated, 2017x believes his friends are trapped in the players bodies like badniks and takes the human's soul and forces them into the character. It's theorized the human that is trapped in tails' body is named tom due to 2017x making references to certain lines from the original CJ story but nothing is confirmed yet of the player tails' name. but why 2017x is mad is because tails who is a human isn't playing their part as the character and is constantly reminding 2017x that he isn't sonic and they aren't tails witch is breaking 2017x's delusions and causes him to see the player as the problem. now reminder this is only what i remember, Not all of it is fact and i could be misremembering things from old tweets.
The wiki says the current iteration is nearly the same as the original reboot by JC (idk how the cult would work though), and the line “Now I the SILVER lining”, with silver being in a different font in the lyrics video, implies that Tom still becomes Silver in the current version of the story

How I make it simpler for me is that Allfather is the first exe. 2011x was his first transformation and "child" and so on and so forth with 2017x to scrimbo to omt to xenophanes. For Lord X, I think of him as a separate being from the all father, hence how they made Exe or faker. and for other exes that dont fall in line with allfather (requital, fatal error, etc.) their stories explains how they came to be. I know this isnt canon since allfather isnt canon, but its the simpliest way I can make it for myself

Love 2017x. I will say his game isn't necessarily Sonic 06 but has some elements to it 😂. It was stated by Raven that it was more of a representation of Sonic.exe as a whole and a thing of showing how Sonic.exe has changed over the years. She also strictly said that it was more of Rightburst's creation than Shei's. Sadly, he won't have any representation in Legacy due to Shei not wanting to be associated with fnf anymore after all the drama that happened in vs sonic.exe.

I've said this on a different video but I'll say it here as well I think a cool way of making an EXE unique is to not make the EXE a supernatural entity, but instead from some psychotic kid's imagination. Imagine playing an EXE game where you're a father trying to connect with your son, who likes making sonic romhacks. So you play one of them, only to discover your son's using the romhacks to play out his violent fantasies. Characters are renamed to people you know the Son doesn't like, a school bully, a former friend... and then you. At the end you find out your son is using the romhack to plan out something he wants to do in real life.
This concept is pretty interesting! I think there’s a lot of freedom and ideas people can utilize, and I hope to see more unique exes in future sonic or not!
I do like him, but there is one thing that I kind of have a problem with, and that is that his design is just kind of a nothing burger. Which could’ve been fine, I do like minimalistic designs, but 2017 kinda feels minimalistic in the wrong was. Not sure what it is, but he kinda just looks like a beta design for Werehog Sonic.
I would love to see some insane version of this guy fighting off a different .exe. Like, imagine he somehow winds up in Lord Xs realm, sees him attacking tails for the umptillionth time, and decides "I gotta save him!" And getting into an insane battle.

It's honestly pathetic how OMT is so ignored given how good his games actually are. One thing you missed that was pointed out to me by a friend of mine is that in the final verse, "silver" in "NOW I SEE THE SILVER LINING" has been marked with a different font. Love 2017x. I will say his game isn't necessarily Sonic 06 but has some elements to it 😂. On another note I am pretty sure "tails" isn't even tails to begin with either just someone 2017x saw playing his game and said, "Yes, you are tails, my best friend." Man I can't wait for his and Xenophanes stories to be complete. They are my top 2 favorites personally.

Currently I am xenophanes biggest hater after the events of too slow, you cant run, and triple trouble. The fact that he lost bf and even crashed out over it so bad he transformed like a super sayain just for his slaves to be set free and for him to loose pisses me off. So like you I cant wait for his story to complete, and I cant wait to see what sonic legacy does with him.

It was stated by Raven that it was more of a representation of Sonic.exe as a whole and a thing of showing how Sonic.exe has changed over the years. She also strictly said that it was more of Rightburst's creation than Shei's. Sadly, he won't have any representation in Legacy due to Shei not wanting to be associated with fnf anymore after all the drama that happened in vs sonic.exe.
Fun Fact: 2017X is so obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog that it surpasses X's level of obsession.

I think a cool way of making an EXE unique is to not make the EXE a supernatural entity, but instead from some psychotic kid's imagination. Imagine playing an EXE game where you're a father trying to connect with your son, who likes making sonic romhacks. So you play one of them, only to discover your son's using the romhacks to play out his violent fantasies. Characters are renamed to people you know the Son doesn't like, a school bully, a former friend... and then you. At the end you find out your son is using the romhack to plan out something he wants to do in real life.
This concept is pretty interesting! I think there’s a lot of freedom and ideas people can utilize, and I hope to see more unique exes in future sonic or not!

I do like him, but there is one thing that I kind of have a problem with, and that is that his design is just kind of a nothing burger. Which could’ve been fine, I do like minimalistic designs, but 2017 kinda feels minimalistic in the wrong was. Not sure what it is, but he kinda just looks like a beta design for Werehog Sonic.

It's honestly pathetic how OMT is so ignored given how good his games actually are. One thing you missed that was pointed out to me by a friend of mine is that in the final verse, "silver" in "NOW I SEE THE SILVER LINING" has been marked with a different font. This is most likely in reference to Silver the Hedgehog, one of the characters in 2006, but also possibly one of the victims of 2017X.
