TALL and SKINNY Fujitec MRL Traction Elevator-IKEA-Hong Kong

This is a strange little elevator. This IKEA is a bit different than the ones in the US- there's only one elevator here and this is how small it is! This is a Fujitec MRL elevator with a loud fan. However, this elevator is also equipped with power-save mode where the fan turns off immediately when the elevator is not in use. The store was huuuuge. If you're wondering about the weird floor layout it's because this IKEA is on top of a mall (Home Square) which also has some bumpy Fujitec hydraulic elevators. Those will come later.

Wow thats a different kind of IKEA for sure. I bet they couldn't fit in a bigger one so they decided to make it taller rather than wider.
