Thank you for the helpful information☺️ If we have complications postpartum, do we take additional disability after the PFL is over or before? I’m not concerned about job protection.
you mentioned we can apply 5 weeks before due date cause of 1 week waiting period but later on your video you mentioned we can't apply until we actually stop working? can you clarify this please? thank you
My HR is telling me that I only qualify for disability benefits if my doctor deems me as unable to work due to illness or injury? For example, if i have a smooth labor with no complications, I don't qualify for PDL. Is that accurate? I assumed I'd have 6-weeks of PDL + 8-weeks PFL in the least for a smooth labor.
I’m 34 weeks and going on disability leave at 36weeks. I should apply for disability at 35 weeks? I thought you couldn’t apply until you’ve stopped working?
hi! my HR is telling me that i only qualify for disability benefits if my doctor deems me as unable to work due to illness or injury? Due 7/15. Thank you!
Thank you for watching! all of my videos are geared towards those who do not get disability benefits from their employers. I’m not exactly sure on your anwser and don’t want to misinform you!

You would continue disability until you are recovered than start pfl

How do you apply one week early when you’re still working prior to the 4 weeks before due date
You can only do this if you actually stop working if you plan to keep working you can start your claim. Congrats!

The physicians statement, can that be from my obgyn or does that have to be from a primary care doctor?
Either can submit! But typically your OB
Hi, are there any changes in fmla, pfl and cfra 2024? Im seeing 12 weeks? Is that right? Thanks for your help
Hello! Pfl is still 8 weeks in 2024!
how does the disability come into play if my work pays up to 12 weeks? is what my work covers separate?
Wondering the same thing! We pay into it seems we should be compensated

What if I only have one quarter of payroll from the 18 months? Will this still be my highest quarter to calculate by edd?
Yes it would!
Thank you for thissss! Appreciate it! ❤
You're so welcome!

Does this apply for dads?
Most of this info is for the moms!
On my end it shows OASDI is that the same?
Hmmmm I’m not sure what that is, google search shows it’s for retired and disabled people
Can you explain PDL and PFL vs short term disability leave? One that I would pay into through open enrollment.
PDL refers to unpaid job protection, SDI is payment while you are not working for pregnancy related disability. PFL is paid family leave after birth.
So helpful ❤
I'm so glad!
I wanted to stop working when I was 7 months pregnant, would I still be eligible to apply for PDL still?
